Located downtown, Hunter Museum focuses on works done in the United States from the Colonial period to present day. Admission for children and youth 17 and under are free. They also run a special for the museum's permanent collection on the first Thursday of each month from 4pm-8pm it is free adult admission and the special exhibitions are $5 adult admission.

Also known as the walking bridge, it is a pedestrian bridge that you can walk, run, or ride bikes across. It takes you from downtown over the river to Northshore. A great place for pictures, leisurely stroll, vantage point for downtown architecture, easy access to Northshore without being worried about getting run over crossing it.

This beautiful Civil War era building has been transformed into a state of the art shopping center. Higher end retailers have laid down their roots here. Spend some time walking around looking at shops, or stop in for some food at one of its many fantastic restaurants.

Walk over the walking bridge into downtown Chattanooga. There is a carousel that is open year round that is a fun thing for kids to do. In the summer they have interactive water fountains.
