El Yunque is the USA's only tropical rainforest! It is home to waterfalls, hiking trails, natural waterslides and more! It is definetly worth a day trip.
Warning(s): The hiking trails require a reservation so please go online and reserve your spot in advance. They will not give you a pass same day.
Please do not stay in the rainforest after dark. Hikers get lost and crime rates increase

Beaches
With your Airbnb rental, you get full access to our surfboard, boogie boards, and snorkel gear! Feel free to take the water sports equipment out to any of the local beaches you come across while exploring the island!
This beach is 5 minutes away from our house and is BEAUTIFUL! It is only accessed through our neighborhood so it is completely private and not crowded with people. The soft sand, clear blue water and privacy make it a MUST!
If you drive our of our gated community and take a right. From there, just drive straight while hanging right until you get to the end of a neighborhood where a field is gated off.
The beach is gated off so you will have to park your car by the gate and walk to it. Make sure to take a left when looking at both paths. The right path will get you to the same spot but it will take way longer. As soon as you see the cute little boat, turn to the right and the beach is right there!

Secret Beach, Humacao
Camino Los PescadoresThis beach is 5 minutes away from our house and is BEAUTIFUL! It is only accessed through our neighborhood so it is completely private and not crowded with people. The soft sand, clear blue water and privacy make it a MUST!
If you drive our of our gated community and take a right. From there, just drive straight while hanging right until you get to the end of a neighborhood where a field is gated off.

When you get to the gate just let security know where inside of Palmas you are going or just say "shopping in Palmas" and they will let you right in!
