The heart of San Felipe is undoubtedly the Malecón, a place of great scenic beauty and local culture. Along the Malecón you will find most of the Restaurants, there is plenty to choose from traditional Mexican dishes to contemporary dishes. The nightlife of San Felipe also takes place along the Malecón, it hosts a very entertaining nightlife, it is the ideal place to enjoy live music, enjoy a cocktail and dance or relax and chat with friends.

El Cerrito de la Virgen is a small volcanic stone mountain that can be seen from the north end of the boardwalk, which has the iconic Chapel of Guadalupe on top. Getting to the hermitage is really simple, you can walk from the boardwalk through the white bridge, then you will find some stairs that take you there.

El Cerrito de la Virgen is a small volcanic stone mountain that can be seen from the north end of the boardwalk, which has the iconic Chapel of Guadalupe on top. Getting to the hermitage is really simple, you can walk from the boardwalk through the white bridge, then you will find some stairs that take you there.

Isla Consag is located 22 miles off the coast of San Felipe. This large rock draws the attention of tourists because it appears to be covered in snow, but its whitish appearance is actually due to guano (bird droppings). The easiest way to get there is by boat, which you can board from the San Felipe boardwalk. Prepare your ears to hear a concert of sea lions. The Island is surrounded by a great variety of wildlife, you can admire seals, seabirds, sea lions and a high content of fish, this makes it a good area to fish.

Valle de los Gigantes

Take highway 5 south out of San Felipe towards Puertecitos. The turnoff for the Valle de los Gigantes is just before KM 14 near Punta Estrella. There is a small fee to access the park but it is well worth it! A short drive on the dirt will take you to the parking area that is surrounded by the giant cardóns. IIn this valley you will find more than a thousand specimens of giant cacti that reach up to 17 meters in height and mix with other desert plants to create a unique landscape. Visit during the spring or summer so you can explore it in perfect weather.
