An offshoot of the Boone Greenway starts at Leola Place. Just go out the front door and walk to Leola Street and turn left (towards Starbucks). Walk across Pride Street and you will see the Greenway (paved path) behind the buildings next to the bridge. You walk behind the building and this is it. This part of the Greenway has an urban setting as you will walk under Blowing Rock Road and past Lowes. The trail is clearly marked. It's just a 1/2 mile to the main Greenway. The Boone Greenway has over 7 miles of walking trails included the Kennedy Trails that are intended for trail running. You will see dozens of deer and cross Boone Creek multiple times over the pedestrian bridges. Guest are welcome to walk, run or bike the Greenway. It is one of our favorite spots in town.
