The Welsh Mountain Zoo, which is a 20 min walk from the house, is home to a large variety of animals including tigers, lions and monkeys. Only half a mile from the house as the crow flies, you can sometimes even hear the sea lions at feeding time when sitting in the garden!

On the sea front in Colwyn Bay, The Toad is a great place to eat or drink while taking in fabulous costal views.
Only 1.5 miles from the house (5 min drive), it can be walked to in 25 min (though it is far easier to walk to it than to come up the hill on the way back!).

Possibly the oldest country pub in North Wales, the White Lion is well worth a visit. We can particularly recommend their Sunday roast lunch, which is very good value.
