Tavira again has plenty of coffee shops and they are just perfect for eating breakfast reading the paper watching the world go by! Often they sell freshly baked bread and pastry goods.

Drinks & Nightlife

There are plenty of nightspots that stay open late and may have live music. The Irish bar is great as it is right on the river

Parks & Nature

The Ria Formosa is a protected area that runs the length of the East Algarve next to the coast. Most of it can be cycled or walked along and offers an abundance of flora and fauna. Perfect for birdwatching.

Olhao is an old fishing Port. It is like nothing else in the Algarve and is buzzing, fun and lively with the most fabulous cobbled streets dotted with the best places to eat fish and seafood. It is cheap unspoiled and gives you the best insight into old Algarve life. Saturday mornings is best when the Farmers from the hills come down and set up stalls outside the daily markets selling their produce.
