Traveling by public transport is very easy in the Netherlands and the Train, Bus or Tram are usually precisely on time. If you are thinking of traveling by local Dutch Train, Bus or Tram we can help you organize an anonymous Public Transport Card for you or people and kids traveling with you. This card allows you to check-in and check-out of any local Dutch Public Transport such as Train, Bus or Tram. You will recharge some credit on this card at a station or at any of the station "ATM- like" machines found at Train, Bus or Tram stations. You can travel throughout the country with this.

Most Trains, Buses or Trams have space for strollers, use them. In Utrecht take your kids to see: - The Train museum - The den hommel Utrecht In-Door heated Swimming pool - Nijntje Museum (Miffy Museum) - The Clock Museum - De Ster, Utrecht Windmill (has farm animals) - Nearby Playgrounds - KidZcity amusement park Most of these places are within walking distance of the house, when you prefer you can use public transport, Cabs (or Uber). If you're travelling with a car that just makes everything easier.

Rent a local bicycle and go and see the city, Cross canals over bridges, head to the farm lands nearby and enjoy beautiful sunsets.

If you find yourself in this position, where you have to do a self-quarantine for a few days it's best to book a place you can have all to yourself. Although this might not be the most cost effective booking for you, it will give you time to get the self-quarantine over and done with. If all goes well after that period and you've complied with the regulations for self-quarantine. This should mean that you're good to go health-wise. Then you can book your ideal accommodation at the best price thereafter for the remainder of your stay. This is my experience.
