Outdoor and waterfront, frequent live music, great food and drinks. Their playground for kids features a pirate ship. You can also drive your boat up from the river and be served from your boat. Very popular with locals and visitors alike, so expect to wait a little while for your seat and for food during busy times.

Inexperienced boaters use extreme caution

If you are an inexperienced boater, stay within the main part of the river, including the freshwater swimming areas near the Homosassa Wildlife Park. Beyond the MacRaes boat ramp to the Gulf is not safe for beginners. While businesses are happy to rent pontoon boats to visitors with a driver's license, there have been too many accidents and even deaths in navigating the narrow channels out to the Gulf (Search "Hell's Gate Homosassa River"). If you plan on venturing out beyond the river, best to hire an experienced local charter captain part of the Homosassa Guides Association.

River is accessible only by boat/kayak

There is no public land accessibility to the freshwater springs in Homosassa. You must either boat or kayak from one of the local launching sites (MacRaes, Riverside Resort)
