Hiking

Hiking to the top of Cathedral Rock is my favorite thing to do in Sedona. After reaching the top "end of trail" sign, you can walk to the left onto the cliff for great photos and the trail to the left leads to another crack with a stunning spire. The energy at this vortex is said to strengthen the feminine side...

One of the most spectacular views in Sedona is a 7 min walk from our house. Head East and up the hill from our front sidewalk on the dirt path and you will arrive at the top of the hill on a plateau with a stunning view of Cathedral Rock and a beautiful 360° view all of Sedona. From here the trail to the right (West) along the ridge takes you to the entrance of Crescent Moon Ranch. Heading left leads you up over the hill and connects you to Chavez Ranch Rd. Walk down Chavez Ranch Rd for about a 1/8th of a mile and take a path down the hill to Oak Creek. Follow the trail downstream along the river stopping to swim and take in the peaceful beauty. After passing Crescent Moon Ranch park connect with the paved road and walk back to our house.

Bell Rock is known for being a vortex spot and having high energy. It's an easy hike to where it gets to steep to go any further. The energy at this vortex is very powerful and is know to strengthen all three parts: the masculine side, the feminine side, and the center point of balance..

Sightseeing

Great place to relax and cool off in the afternoon after a morning hike. It's a 5 min drive or 17 min walk from our house. Oak Creek forms into pools 8' deep that you can dive into and swim in the cool water. After a refreshing swim dry off in sun while laying on the warm red rocks with water running on each side in the middle of the river.

This is know as one of the highest energy spots in Sedona. Follow the red rock trail markers in wire barrels along this trail, and soon you arrive at a 30 foot high knoll. The energy is strongest around this knoll. Notice the very twisted Juniper trees all around this trail. The energy at this vortex is know to strengthen the masculine/feminine or yin/yang balance.

This chapel was built on a spur of rock that rises 200 feet off the ground. A breathtaking 90-foot cross cuts down the center of the chapel and looks like it has been wedged into the mountain, offering magnificent views of Sedona’s red rocks. The chapel is free to enter and open daily except for Good Friday, Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas

Situated alongside an apple orchard, Slide Rock is 80 feet long and 2.5 to 4 feet wide, with a seven percent decline from top to bottom. Algae on the rocks creates the slippery ride. The world-famous slide is an 80 foot-long slippery chute that is worn into sandstone. Very popular especially on weekends, so get there early in the morning to get a parking place.

Sedona weather is alway good and if it isn't it will be soon

I never worry about the weather in Sedona. It's usually sunny and when there is a rain storm it cools and freshens things up, and usually passes in a few hours. If there are clouds take advantage of them and enjoy a rare cool hike. Put on a jacket if it gets cool and you'll likely be taking it off before long when the sun comes out. As they say, "There's no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothes."
