a wonderful mountain zoo not to be missed
getting so close to the giraffes and the wallabeys is unbelievable. There is a great new hippo/penguin exhibit, don't miss the rope bridge at this exhibit.
Also, with your entrance to the Zoo, you can drive up to the Will Rogers Shrine. I very much recommend doing so, as you get to drive through the Zoo, the views are amazing on the way and on top and the shrine along with going up the shrine and learning about the history in the little house across, not to be missed.

If you drive up Cheyenne Canyon until you reach the top, there is a parking lot on your left, a trail that has bars across straight and to the right of that is a small dirt road, that you can drive on and will have amazing views of the city and are going through 2 small tunnels. It will take you about 30 minutes and you will exit near Bear Creek Park, another wonderful place for a quick walk.
