Part of El Vado Hotel's outdoor courtyard, this taproom is surrounded by Albuquerque's up-and-coming food scene purveyors. The courtyard is ample, modern, and comfortable. The Costa Rican food shop was a recent favorite. Another plus is that this is across the streen from the ABQ BioPark Botanic Garden.

The Sawmill Market is the newest of Albuquerque's winning combination of bars + eateries + expansive courtyard. Check their website for live music in their central atrium.

The botanical garden is amazing. A ticket includes entry into the Albuquerque Aquarium. Touring the Japanese garden or the Homesteaders garden is well worth the price of admission.

Tingley Beach commemorates one of Albuquerque's mayors from the late 1930s and '40s that initiated the building of public parks during the Great Depression. Tingley Beach was one accomplishment that was brought back to life and integrated into the ABQ BioPark and Zoo. This is a great place for a sunset stroll along the Rio Grande.
