Friðheimar is not really a restaurant, it is a food experience inside a geothermal heated greenhouse. There you can eat tomato soup inside the greenhouse and watch how the tomatoes are growing. Very highly recommended! Please note that it is popular and you might have to book a table in advance.

Þingvellir is a national park and a site of historical, cultural, and geological significance, and is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Iceland. The park is one of Iceland's most beautiful destinations, and a stop on the “Golden Circle” is Þingvellir National Park. The park lies in a rift valley that marks the crest of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge and the boundary between the North American tectonic plate and the Eurasian.

A hike up on Miðfell for beautiful views. 2.5-3 hours, fairly easy walk and a marked path. Just be careful in the wintertime, it might be snowy and slippery.

The secret lagoon is one of the oldest swimming pools in Iceland and was just renovated a few years ago. It is a beautiful location surrounded by hot springs. It is open every day from 11-22, I especially enjoy going in the evening, then there is less people in the lagoon and you can see the stars in the winter and setting sun in the summers.
