It's our "Community" shop (so we all work there) and it stocks fabulous local foods, specialist ingredients and everything you need from newspapers to little gifts.

It is set in a beautiful walled garden which you can walk around and pick flowers in, has good food and is a fab place to be. Quite pricey. Average service. Often closed for private functions.

Messums is a thriving art gallery in the middle of nowhere based around the longest thatched tithe barn in England (which is worth seeing in itself). It is a vibrant hub with ever-changing art displays, talks, events and a great cafe/restaurant for drinks or lunch and is free to explore.

It is well preserved, has a fabulous history and was the location for the Kevin Kostner version of a Robin Hood movie. New Wardour Castle is nearby and there are fabulous walks all around. Also great views of the local countryside. English Heritage but well worth it.

It's the highest point in Wiltshire, is very beautiful, looks over the Rothermere Estate and has great walks around it. It is also very close to Compton Abbas airfield with its great views, aircraft interest and very good cafe.

It has possibly the best art collection in a NT house. Garden is a bit dull but the house and art are amazing as is the famous tree lined drive if you approach it from here.

It is the most amazing landscaped garden around a beautiful lake. It is National Trust so costs as such. Good pub in the grounds. Trees and flowering shrubs are the focus in the garden rather than borders of perennials etc..
