5 minutes drive. Enticing walking along leats and the river, through the woods the hide industrial relics and giant boulders. This is possibly my favourite place.

25 minutes drive along the south coast. Where there is still a fishing fleet worked by the old Cornish families. Proper pubs and historic harbour. A sizeable holiday home destination but with a firm local grip. Numerous good restaurants. Museum.
