The best pizza in WNC, if you ask us, can be found on Main Street in Weaverville. Live music every night--definitely try to catch the house bluegrass band. We recommend the Cow Tipper, Banks Classic, and Pesto Perfection. Easy 15 minute drive from our house to adorable downtown Weaverville.

Great coffee and baked goods, plus lunch items. Located on the main drag (there's only one drag, really--quaint, historic, and easy to walk) in downtown Marshall makes this a great spot to pop down to from our house.

Top vote getter every year in the Best of WNC and one of our personal favorites - even had them cater my daughter's wedding. Great food, locally sourced. The. Best. Burgers. in Asheville. Their take on chicken salad redefines the genre - don't miss it. Eat there or take out. You can order online and pick up for picnics.

Fine dining in the heart of Marshall! I'll put this restaurant up against any place in foodiecentric Asheville. Specializing in steaks and seafood, Chef Brian has found the magic here. Quirky vintage decor adds to the experience. It's pricey but if that's what you are looking for - go!

There's so much good beer in Asheville, you can't go wrong. But we love Sierra Nevada's East Coast brewery and distribution center because it's like the Disney World of beer. Reserve a spot on a brewery tour and get a free tasting at the end. Or show up anytime and eat at the fabulous tap house restaurant. The pimento beer cheese is amazing.
