The surrounding area offers many parks and trails for walking, mtn. biking and dog walking.
Bannock Mtn. can be viewed from the camp and is just a few minutes drive. A mile long dirt road, with a slight incline and a short segment of steeper pitch near the top is approx. a 30 min. walk. The top offers 360 degree views of the hills and mountains, including looking over Clearwater Lake.

Flint Woods is part of the Powder House Hill Trails Network and is owned by Bonney Woods Corp., Maine's oldest land conservation group.
