It is super quaint, little espresso and wine bar. They offer small Cheese and salumi boards. It's less than a 3-minute walk from The Chelsea House. Great place to catch up on some conversations. They are open Tuesday - Saturday 4 pm - 10. Closed Monday and Sunday ----- Unfortunately, this closed due to the pandemic... something else will come to the space soon.

This is where my sister learned to be a baker. The owner came over from Sicily with my father.... they have the best Canoli... The artwork on the boxes, rug, and T-shirts are all my sister's art!! Yes, she is multi-talented.

Just a few blocks away by foot, this is a famous, local spot to get fresh-baked bagels and other pastries. They are known for their Pizza bagel! Try them for breakfast or for a snack, you'll love them.

Parks & Nature

This is a must-see. A National historic park, where European iron makers settled in 1600. It's also a great place for LEAF PEEPING SEASON Mid-September - October!! Don't miss it. This is a great place to go! Most forget about this National Historic Site because it's in a little town outside of Boston. I grew up down the street, so it was my playground. A hidden must-see!

If your visit is during LEAF PEEPING SEASON!! What better way to enjoy the foliage than kayaking on the Charles River while surrounding yourself with the vibrant colors of fall. Don't miss out, the season is short... Mid- September - October! Don't want to kayak, no worries, stroll along the river.

Everything Else

I love shopping here. Be prepared to get lost! It's a huge store and lots of people go there, including non-locals. The reason I love it here is for the seafood! My father was a fisherman and once he retired and no longer went to the wharf for fish, this was the only place he would buy fish from. The Maine Lobsters are the best, so are the cherry stones and quahogs!

Getting around

The SL3 Silver Line 3 bus is a great, easy and fast way to get in and out of Boston. It takes you to SOUTH STATION, SEAPORT AREA, and the AIRPORT. The commuter rail is another easy, fast way into Boston. This train will take you directly to NORTH STATION (where you can pick up other trains to other parts of Boston)THE GARDEN, and walking distance to famous little Italy - The North End.
This is so close to the house, and the nice thing about them is, they will come to pick you up and drop you off... usually. And their prices are sometimes much lower than at the airport. Check them out before coming in town to get prices or if you decide last minute that's fine too. You really don't need a car anyway.
