Looking straight out onto the Atlantic, with pristine dunes, Ponquogue Beach is an idyllic stretch perfect for swimming, surfing, kayaking and paddleboarding. WIth consistent northwest winds blowing straight off the Atlantic, it also offers reliable year-round surf.

WIth consistent northwest winds blowing straight off the Atlantic, it also offers reliable year-round surf.
You’ll find more extensive beaches beyond Sag Harbor, but Haven’s Beach, only a five-minute drive from the town center, is known for its calm waters. This area is excellent for families, walkers and those who just want to sit and watch the boats go by.

Made up of a dozen lovingly preserved historic structures dating back to the early 19th century, informative exhibits offer a glimpse into life during simpler times. But not everything is old here. Regular exhibitions of works by local contemporary artists are also found among the charming old buildings.
