Well... basically... I LOVE the Corned Beef and Cabbage. And since I can't even come close to making this I go out for it. If you've got a hankering for a pub... this is a good one.

Interesting fact about Sawmill. My best friend in college worked here, when it was Ponderosa Products, THE actual sawmill the place is named for. It was in her office I first encountered a “word processor” (a typewriter with memory). It was loaded with Word Perfect. Yeah. We’d graduated from college using typewriters and carbon paper. LOL

My favorite in Old Town. Everything is great but my go-to is Chicken Enchiladas w/green chile. High Noon has a well deserved diverse and fantastic margarita reputation.

Sightseeing

It's a great neighborhood with restaurants, pubs, nightlife and there are ice cream shops, too. Great walkability and PLEASE understand the homeless are burdened during the pandemic, too. I could go on but the basic intel is the shelters kick these people out every day, rain or shine, at 6 am and they've got no place else to go. Overall there are approximately 1000 homeless in the Albuquerque area, predominantly along Central Avenue. Many of them have drug addictions. Please be kind and compassionate.

Many many many years ago, opening night... these folks had a modeling show. I don't know why. Probably a fundraiser or something. I modeled in that show. Yes... you would not believe how wide the shoulder pads were. I think I've got a photo somewhere. It's humiliating but it is what it is. And the dinosaurs are awesome, too!
