A fantastic menu served here with something for everyone. This is a St Austell brewery pub which has a delightful conservatory area with bifold doors and a restaurant area. Dogs are allowed in the restaurant area/bar. There is a lovely outdoor seating area and is a relaxing place to sit. My favourites include the beer battered fish and chips delicious with a pint of Korev, or a serving of the the local mussels.

A short walk down from the annex along St Catherine's Parade through the woods which runs along the valley towards the sea. This walk will only take 20 minutes and is very relaxing. Readymoney beach has a lovely shop serving local coffee, ice cream and delicious cakes made locally. You can sit and relax or enjoy a swim in the sea. Dogs are restricted at Easter time and in the Summer (from 10am-6pm).

Well worth a walk through the woods from Readymoney Cove to enjoy the glorious views. This will take approximately 10 minutes from the cove and is steep, but worth it! Please watch the steep edge by the castle wall/steps with dogs and children. If you are feeling daring, you can climb the steps up to the castle. The view is spectacular up the river towards Fowey and out to sea.

World renowned and well worth a visit for all ages. Suitable for all weather due to the biomes and educational areas. Lovely outdoor gardens and displays for sunny weather too. The ice skating in the Winter months is well worth participating in! The coffee here is delicious, as well as the food in the open cafe areas. The Rainforest biome would be my first choice to visit and a climb to the top of the rainforest (if you are feeling brave!), followed by the Mediterranean biome to cool down in the temperate climate. Lovely gifts to take home made from sustainable materials. A bit of a hill back up to the car, but well worth it!

A glorious place to visit with so many types of plant in an accessible valley above the pretty fishing village of Meavagissey (can be accessed by the ferry from Fowey which alternates between the the Whitehouse quay and Town quay- time of year dependant). Heligan has a delightful coffee shop which serves delicious soup, meals, cake and drinks. There are gift shops and lots of activities for children. There are farm animals here, a bird hide, play areas, ponds and a rope ladder bridge. My favourite parts are the hidden bamboo area as well as the huge rhododendron trees.

Start the Hall walk by catching the ferry from Bodinnick by travelling as foot passengers on the car ferry from Caffa Mill. This is a 4 mile walk which ends in the village of Polruan. A refreshing end to the walk is to have a drink at The Lugger pub adjacent to the river before catching the foot ferry back to Fowey. The walk has quite a few steep sections which meander through the woods and around the river tributaries. However, there are lots of benches. It is a good area to take a picnic and stop around half way at Pont Pill or along the top of the path where the views are spectacular.

Just up the road in the nearby village of Golant there are beautiful river tours. highly recommended for a tranquil time on the water too experience the local wildlife such as herons, cormorants and possibly the resident seal! Golant is only a few minutes away in the car along country lanes. When parking here check the tide times if you find a space on the 'pill'near the pub as the tide comes in quickly.. Otherwise, I would park in the main metered area near the rowing club. The Fisherman's Arms is highly recommended for lunch afterwards.
