Neighbourhoods

Busy, tourist packed almost all year round (so expect tourist prices everywhere here). Really good buzz, lots of touristy stuff to see and do.

My personal best neighborhood in the city. Lots of amazing restaurants. Chill vibe, lots of quiet beautiful streets with really nice bars. Less tourists and more expats, so don’t be surprised to hear mainly English being spoken here.

Known for its iconic buildings like the national museum and theatre, dancing house and so on. It’s also known for its really great restaurants, pubs, and vibrant night life.

Great city view

Amazing city view that cost nothing but a long walk up a hill.
Not too crowded, but fantastic view. Also has lots of room behind for picnics and cycling. Best time to visit is at sunset, and if you have a really good camera, you should stay longer for the night shots.

Best way to move around the city

The fastest way to get around the city is the very efficient and regular metro lines. But if this is your first time in Prague, I’ll recommend moving around the city with trams, e-scooters, bikes or just take a walk. You really feel the life of the city when you are moving through the cobble stone streets and iconic buildings. My best free app for navigating the public transit system: Pubtran and Lítačka app

Changing money.

Avoid using Euronet ATM machine and airport money exchange services. They have terrible rates/commissions. There are lots of money changing shops in the city with better rates.

Hold cash!

It’s not uncommon for local restaurants and pubs to accept only cash. So always hold a decent amount of cash (Czech Koruna) to prepare for such situations.
