Food scene
The Barn Restaurant is situated up on the hill as you enter Riebeek Kasteel, offering pretty views down towards the Church steeple. The menu is varied. Seating is both indoors on winter nights or outside in a pretty courtyard. Thomas also hosts musical events here and it is worth noting!

Eight Feet Village sits at the top of Bothmanskloof Pass. Here you can enjoy unobstructed views of the Riebeek Valley whilst sipping on a cup of Eight Feet Coffee or a glass of Eight Feet Wine. This is a great spot to enjoy lunch at too.

We serve our wood-fired Pizzas over the weekend from 10:00am – 5:00pm and Coffee and other delicious eats from 7:15am – 5:00pm daily.

They specialize in growing unusual varieties of flowers and foliage. Our relatively mild winters and long, hot summers allow them to grow a wide range of flowers from anemones to dahlias.

The Riebeek Valley is home to a plethora of artists & sculptors. Art Weekends, where both galleries and homes are opened up for visitors to view artists actually at work, will become a regular thing again now that the pandemic is settling down. The community in the Valley do not wear masks.
