Activities

Cedar Point County Park is a 10 minute drive and has a beautiful bay beach, an area with picnic tables, and bathroom facilities. It's possible you will be asked to pay a daily use fee, but in 10 years of going there we have never been asked to pay a fee. This beach has great sunsets, but bring bug repellant just in case!

Ocean Beaches

Most ocean beaches require parking permits. East Hampton Village sells daily permits for its ocean beaches (Main, Georgica, Egypt, Wiborg and Two Mile Hollow). Please visit the East Hampton village website for information on how to obtain a daily permit. You also may purchase a daily permit at Atlantic Avenue Beach, which is run by the town (not the village) of East Hampton. Parking is $35 at Kirk Beach in Montauk. Please visit the East Hampton Town website for more info. You also can use Uber or take the shuttle service (see "getting around").

Parking, Shuttle

Info on parking in the village is available at https://www.easthamptonvillage.org/165/Parking-in-Village-Center It is easy to get a parking ticket in the Hamptons, so be careful to follow parking signage! Daily parking in the village of East Hampton is available using the ParkMobile app. If you are going to park in the village for more than a couple hours, or if the main village parking lot is full, I recommend parking in one of the Lumber Lane parking lots. During summer, a shuttle runs between East Hampton Village and Main Beach. https://www.ridecircuit.com/east-hampton.
