Neighborhoods

Considered a sacred place by early Native Americans due to its healing waters, now a renovated tourism site. You can still freely sample the springs at several street locations. Enjoy shopping and site seeing - be prepared for crowds and some construction/parking challenges. Insider tip - take the free shuttle into town, but be sure to pay for your parking at the shuttle lot first.

The first capital of the Territory of Colorado and the center of early settlement in the Pikes Peak region. Is now a local and tourist favorite. Great shops and restaurants and a little more parking friendly than Manitou Springs.

Seemingly in a constant state of growth and renovation, our little town is becoming a true urban stronghold of fine dining, entertainment, and local sites. Modern and worthy shops, museums, and dining from S. Tejon to Colorado College make spending a day in town easy and entertaining. Public transportation is easy in town, or pick up a bike or scooter at local ride share stops along the way.

OK...We don't know what's up with this photo...but obviously this is not the Ivywild Neighborhood (thanks G..gle) - so don't be alarmed. Laid back and local and center of the newest urban renewal project - Creek Walk. Renovated neighborhoods encouraging a walkable and lively scene. Ivywild School is a must enjoy, that features a brewery, distillery and several casual eateries. Local theater and easy access to Cheyenne Canyon area attractions. Local tip - We do NOT recommend walking between DT and Ivywild...still some city cleanup to do, however each area is independently comfy and safe!

Pikes Peak

Pikes Peak has started taking reservations not only for the train but to drive the infamous road to the top of America's Mountain. Be sure to schedule in advance beginning May 27th, 2022 if you plan to visit the top. The cog railway frequently books out weeks in advance so plan ahead if you prefer to go by train.

Restaurants

If you have your heart set on a specific time or place and don't want to wait it is always best to call ahead and see if reservations are taken. Things have become increasingly busy and sparse over the last couple years, especially on weekends and holidays.
