With over 100 km of trail, the Canmore Nordic Centre is recognized as one of the top mountain biking centres in North America. While the many winter ski trails provide casual riders with a scenic workout, those wishing to experience the highest level of mountain biking can ride the competition, single track trails. The Centre’s mountain bike skills park is especially popular with young riders. Trail running, hiking, orienteering and disc golf, (on a challenging 18 hole course), are also popular summer activities. The Canmore Nordic Centre’s trail system offers skiers a wide variety of options. Families may choose to explore a quiet forest trail while athletes in training may decide to challenge themselves on one of the many trails used by world-class competitors. Over 60 kilometres of trail is groomed and track set to accommodate both classic and skating techniques. 6.5 km of trail is illuminated for night skiing 'til 9:00pm daily.
