Beaumaris is a lovely historic town with lots to do there. You can explore the medieval castle, picnic on the beach, take a boat trip, discover pastel painted houses and see the work of local artists. Take a walk along the Victorian Pier, stroll around the shops or enjoy a drink in an ancient pub. There is always something going on in Beaumaris. As well as regular live music and local produce markets, there's an Easter egg hunt, arts festival, fireworks on Bonfire night and Victorian Christmas celebrations and historic events within the castle walls. Visit the stunning beach at Newbotough. There are several beautiful coves an awe-inspiring backdrop of mountains. Walk to your right on the beach and stroll the the beautiful Llanddwyn Island with stunning views. In Newborough turn opposite the post office LL61 6SG and follow the road through the forrest to the car park.

Aberffraw has a lovely coastal walk down to the church in the sea. Park by the stone bridge, walk over the bridge and pass The Crown pub on your left. Continue along the road bearing left and carry on walking (pass a children's play area on your right). Continue along the road until you reach the beach and then turn left following the coastal path back to Aberffraw.

The walled village is Romano-British and its massive stone foundations make for a surreal secret playground surrounded by the woods. En-route explore the 12th century ruined chapel and afterwards walk back the lane for 300m for the Neolithic burial chamber you can climb down inside.
