From here you can also enjoy a walk along the canal: - short stroll (turn RIGHT) to Widcombe (20min) enjoying quintessential view of the parked canal boats on a beautiful background of Bath Stone buildings. (by Tesco cross the road, down the steps) - long stroll (turn LEFT) along the canal to Bradford on Avon (2-3 hour walk) passing The George in Bathampton village and Cross Guns in Avoncliff, both which are pubs in a nice spot along the route to stop off for a drink. You can take the 265 bus back from the centre of Bradford on Avon, which in Bath also stops on Great Pulteney Street.
