Our village

Our village is small and friendly. We have a fantastic pub, The Plough - great food, atmosphere and large garden (dog friendly too). The little shop & PO (we think the smallest in the uk!) is well stocked. St Stephen’s church dates back to the Saxon times. Lainston house hotel is at the far end of the village - a bit of a treat for cream teas or evening cocktails.

The historic city of Winchester is definitely worth a day’s visit. The cathedral is gothic with the longest nave in Europe. Lots of coffee shops, restaurants and shops. Lovely to wander along through the streets and along the river Itchen.
