Food scene

The Fudge Co has been around since at least the 1970’s and is one of the few old school candy and ice cream shops left in this area. Soooooo good!

A little pricey (it is the Hamptons), but the food is fantastic. Just for takeout, although they do have some tables outside where you can people watch as you happily chow down.

AMAZING low key Italian. Also been here forever. Family run, eat in (plan ahead, they get busy) or take out. Pizza there is also fantastic.

Established in 1958, this luncheonette is a little piece of history right in SH village. Still run by the same family, this is the perfect place to grab breakfast or a scoop of ice cream.

AKA, Paul's Pizza, this is Southampton's pizza place. Fantastic pizza, for eating in or take out. Their other food is really good too. The Grandma's Pizza is a must-try.

Great ambiance, for dining inside or people watching outside. Great food, friendly service. A little pricier, but a great place for lunch, brunch or dinner.

Amazing seafood at reasonable (especially for the Hamptons) prices. They have raw seafood to bring home and cook or delicious prepared foods to eat there or take home. Super low key with some indoor seating and a few picnic tables outside. This is NOT for ambiance, but soooo good. They also have a great deal on lobster with shellfish and the works. There is also a kids menu for the little ones as well as non seafood options for those opposed.

Gourmet Market

You might shop for your staples at the stop and shop, but Citarella is an amazing option for both prepared foods and more gourmet options.

Lovely park in SH Village. Great for families and kids. If you're lucky, you will catch the tiny ducklings hanging out with their mammas at the far end of the park. Check local listings for free outdoor concerts and performances throughout the summer.

Beach

Located on Meadow Lane, Cooper's Beach is probably one of the nicest public beaches in the US, if not the world. It is one of the only beaches in the Southampton area that you can but a day pass (most beaches require a resident only permit). The cost is $50. They have ample parking, a snack bar, and restrooms.

Road D Beach is located on Meadow Lane, and is the best kept secret of Southampton. This is the ONLY ocean beach parking lot that does not have a fee and does not require a resident parking permit. Get there early, as the lot is quite small. (Note: no bathrooms, no snack bar)

The Sunday Farmers and Artisans Market is a must.

Terrific local Farmers Market, selling local goods and food. Fun activity for the whole family. Great fresh local produce as well. Located in the heart of the village. Sundays 9am-3pm
