You have to visit Best Friends when you are in the area! Best Friends is a national animal welfare organization that has a mission to stop the killing of homeless pets in shelters across the country. You are lucky enough to be in Kanab where the heart of the organization is located - the sanctuary. The sanctuary is home to 1600 animals of all species - goat, horse, pig, bird, rabbit, cat, dog, guinea pig, etc.
Make sure you take a tour to see all the sights. If you have a free 3 hours, go volunteer!
