Perkins doesn't take reservations on weekends because it is too popular! This restaurant is great for a family breakfast, or for anyone craving breakfast at any time of day. It is open 24hrs a day and is right beside the St. Laurent mall.

This is a great beach if you're simply looking to play in the sand... Not good for swimming. For swimming, check my other recommendation - Britannia Beach.

This beach is for younger crows (mostly University students). The water is not the best, but the beach itself is a popular place to meet.

This has always been a family-favourite. Come check out all the neat aircrafts (and some space stuff). This is one of Ottawa's smaller museums so it is good for a relatively quick visit.

The War Museum is a favourite, expect a longer day filled with Western history and tanks. Definitely recommend!

Formerly known as the Museum of Civilization, this museum has a lot to see, inside and out. The architecture itself is a glorious opportunity for some travel photos, with Parliament Hill in the background. This museum is across the Ottawa River from Parliament, it is on the Quebec side so you will notice the street signs and road change, and so does the language (parles-tu français?)!
