You can extend your walk further to the north into Tumwater Historical Park and even further north along Capitol Lake's multi-use trail.
If the weather is clear, a day-trip to Paradise as Mount Rainier is a must-see. Views from the Visitor Center are spectacular, and even better if you hike the up to Panorama Point.
