Nice beach that is known for snorkeling. Inside is about 3-5’ deep and can be a pleasant snorkel with plenty of fish to view. Go before the wind gets to it. Also check tides and swell size. The infamous “Blue Hole” is on the outer part of the reef. Suggested you hire a tour guide from local dive shop to avoid ending up on reef!!

This hike is intermediate level of difficulty. About a mile total, it goes gradually uphill over a path filled with rocks and roots. Gets steeper, then you climb over a few rocks to get down to the actual survival beach area. Nice large boulders to swim near. You can connect to another beach with another up and down climb by walking East. Good to go with someone to guide you, or follow the people hiking already. There is an area that tricks you into thinking you should head down, resist that path and continue until you actually climb over rocks in the pathway!

Beautiful tide pool. Shallow on the inside, small deep hole with snorkeling further out. Be aware of any large surf, as a current can be sweeping through. Access 2 ways. Through gate for Resort front gate, or a public access that is a very small path further East if the resort entrance. There is a small restaurant in the reaort. You can say you plan to go to the restaurant and are able to walk down from a parking lot.

Heading to the mountains of Puerto Rico is a completely different experience than our beautiful beaches.
An 1.5 hour drive from Isabela is a great adventure to experience the Rio Tanama and zipline across a valley. Rappelling ends one of the tours, but is optional if you don’t want to. Jorge and Denise are the local couple who owns the business. They offer other types of tours if you look over their website.
