A beautiful and romantic restaurant that becomes a casual hang-out later at night. This is another one of the spots that defines the West Village.

For NYC steakhouses this ranks near the top for it's atmosphere and beautiful crowd more than for its steak (very good). Dinner here and a night in meatpacking. Or head up to the beautiful rooftop.

Japanese fare with Brazilian flare. The cool trendy sushi spot in the West Village, but a little played out to the locals. For something cheaper or more low key, check out Kumo.

The new sushi restaurant in the W Vlg, and VERY CHEAP. $1 sushi is not indicative of the quality (pretty good). ~$30 all you can eat/drink option. Weekend nights packed with locals/college students.

New and VERY POPULAR. My take is the atmosphere and crowd are great, the food is OK. Since it's next door, it's a great place to start the night off with a drink. Take your drink up to the rooftop!

This was THE SPOT before Rosemary's showed up next door. The food here is much better though, as it's very good Australian fare. Or maybe I'll let my Aussie guests tell me otherwise.

A nice sports bar and place to bump elbows with the neighborhood locals. Beware, it can get very crowded in here, but if it's not overpacked, it's a nice place to spend a few hours.

More of a Mexican restaurant, but I like it more for a bar when hopping around Wilfie & Nell, Windsor, etc. It's always a good backup as it's the right amount of people. For better mexican food, MOLE!
