A little more of a drive than Purissima Redwoods, but a good State Park with extensive hiking trails through redwoods if you find yourself in the Pescadero area.

Only listed here because it's the only bar open past 10pm downtown. Many an unsuspecting tourist is lured in by the great sandwiches at the deli, but be warned: once you enter the bar, service is given begrudgingly, beer is often either flat or warm and is usually served in warm glassware. The food is inconsistent in quality, and all is horribly overpriced considering the aforementioned shortcomings. This is not the capricious complaint of one who has been here once and had a bad experience - this comes after years of 'just giving it one more try' and being disappointed time and time again. The only perks are that it stays open late and there's an outdoor firepit. Sometimes has live music.
