D'altra banda, ens ho passem bé.

    Andreea2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Tranquil, bonic, net i ple de caràcter.

Dip your toes into the rural 1950's with a stay in our comfy, fully refurbished, airfloat caravan. Set in its own private garden with bbq area , outdoor fire pit and dining table. Collect eggs fresh from the chickens and don't forget to pet the pigs!
This is a really unusual caravan that we imported from the States a few years ago and have tastefully restored. We moved on to our land in it 7 years ago - but have since moved into our converted barn and rent this space out. It is a vintage ( 1957) Airfloat - a rival to the more common 'Airstream'. 1957 was their 25th year of production so all their trailers made that year were anodised in GOLD!! It has a large (for a caravan) bedroom at one end with shower and basin but it has a dividing door and also a double sofabed at the other end if you need to sleep kids - or have had a row! The toilet is a short, OUTSIDE , walk away in our utility block where and we also have another larger shower, washing machine , dryer, deep freeze and microwave. We have 5 kune kune pigs and 2 jacob sheep, chickens ( a cockerel!) cats and dogs. We try to make our small holding as interactive as possible and all our animals are very friendly and safe for children to interact with - under parental supervision. Our veg is available on a seasonal basis and is all organic - even our eggs! Enjoy! ;) PLEASE NOTE - FOR GROUPS OF 4 OR MORE we have a small caravan you can rent if you would like a bit more privacy and don't want to use the sofa bed . If there's more than more than 4 of you then you will HAVE to use this caravan so PLEASE BE AWARE OF THAT ! It has electricity, a TV and its own cooking facilities for cups of tea in the mornings It will only be rented out in conjunction with the larger caravan. It’s free if you book more than 4 people and a £10/night supplement if you’re just using it as an additional space . Tents can also be pitched in the garden of the airfloat caravan or if there’s lots of you then we have an overspill field and tents will be charged £5/night PLEASE NOTE In holiday time it is offered on a min booking of 2 nights though there's a 20% discount if you book for 7 nights - (the price will be automatically be adjusted by airbnb) . On one Sunday or sometimes a Monday, each month, our local banger racing stadium in Smeatharpe hosts a demolition derby or banger racing. Depending on which way the wind is blowing sometimes you can hear the cars quite loudly - Not one of my guests has ever complained about this - some even go to the races, but I always feel bad about the disruption to our normally tranquil setting and will try to warn you if your booking should fall over one of these days. ( I don't always know til too late!) Children aged 5 and under are free so don't include them in the booking - but do tell me in a message ! Basic breakfast things are provided for purchase at cost price .
We are right on the Somerset/Devon / Dorset border in an area of outstanding natural beauty known as 'the Blackdown hills' . We're right on top of the hill so it can be a bit windswept in the winter but you get lovely skies if its clear. The location is generally very peaceful but not so remote that you cant access a shop and a pub within 10 minutes- oh and our mobile phones mostly work! Taunton, Honiton, Wellington and Chard are all 8 miles from us. The Jurassic coast at Lyme Regis is only a 1/2 hr drive away. Though the quieter beaches of Bere and Branscombe closer still and arguably more beautiful! Diggerland is only 25 mins away and popular with smaller children. The pretty university town of Exeter is only 40 mins away with Bristol a fairly accessible 70 mins away. The true beauty however, lies in the much ignored , often bypassed , local area that has many beautiful walks in ancient beech forests, quirky pubs and colourful locals. We have lots of leaflets in the caravan detailing the hidden gems of the Blackdown hills but also lots of different inside or outside games if you d just prefer to stay and relax at home.

The Barn has been carefully and tastefully converted to provide a very comfortable, self-contained and open-plan accommodation . Now available as a cosy holiday home with a huge log burning stove, central heating and a pool, May-Sep. The Barn is Self Catering. The Pool is only available for use between May 1st and the end of Sept and is for the exclusive use of Barn guests. Well behaved dogs are welcome (up to two) charged at £5.00 per night/dog. There are miles of wonderful walks in the area.
Tiphayes Farm is set on the edge of the Blackdown Hills near to the Devon / Somerset border in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The village of Upottery is about a mile and a half away and has a lovely country Pub serving excellent food. Honiton, the nearest town, is about 7 miles away to the South West, where you will find interesting independent shops as well as the usual supermarkets. The house which is an original Thatched Devon Longhouse dating from the 15th century, is set in traditional farmland of small enclosures with the ancient hedges still intact, we are also adjacent to a large woodland and the whole area is a haven for a wonderfully wide variety of wildlife. The position of the property, well away from other farms and overlooking the beautiful Otter Valley, makes this a most tranquil and relaxing setting for your holiday. The house has a Barn attached at the Eastern end which would have originally been the main animal enclosure on the Farm and is suspected to be even older than the house, perhaps the original early dwelling on the site. This Barn has been carefully and tastefully converted to provide a very comfortable, self-contained and open-plan accommodation which is now available as a cosy holiday home. There is a huge log burning stove as well as central heating which creates a lovely warm atmosphere. If cuddling up on a comfy sofa in front of an open fire is your thing, this is the place. There is an enclosed heated swimming pool just across the garden, the pool is heated and in use only between May and September. Well behaved dogs are welcome (up to two) charged at £5.00 per night/dog and there are miles of wonderful walks in the area full details provided with a "Pooch Pack" on arrival. WI-FI Broadband is also available free of charge. Weekly bookings from Friday or Saturday are preferred but we remain as flexible as possible out of season. The Barn is Self Catering.
I love this area and have lived here for over thirty years. The position of Tiphayes allows very easy access to the beautiful Jurassic coastline, Beer and Branscombe are particular favourite coastal villages with great walks and superb Pubs. Both Exmoor and Dartmoor are an easy drive away and can be explored offering some stunning countryside walks. There are lots of great restaurants and local Pub/Restaurants within a short drive and most welcome dogs.

Grooms Cottage is in Churchinford, a small village in the heart of the beautiful Blackdown Hills (ANOB). Churchinford has a great pub 5 minutes walk away, it's busy and does good and reasonably priced food and real ales. There's a community shop/coffee shop/book swap. It's a very good area for walking and the cycling is challenging if you come off the ridge roads. It's about a 40 minute drive from the south coast and Exeter and 10 miles from Wellington, Taunton, Chard and Honiton.
I have two available bedrooms, bedroom 1 is triple aspect, large, airy and light. Bedroom 2 is small, just enough space for a double bed and a chest of drawers, suit children? I would only book bedroom 2 for family or close friends of the occupants of bedroom 1. The bathroom is modern and it will be all yours in the mornings and evenings, but I might use it in the middle of the day with your permission. My art studio is also upstairs so I could be working up there during the day. You are very welcome to use the sitting room with it's log burner and TV and sit in the porch and my yard. It will be a help yourself breakfast as the kitchen is very small - I will provide bread, cereals, muesli, yoghurt and fruit, herbal or builder's tea and coffee, and you're welcome to help yourself to tea and coffee whenever you like.
Churchinford is a small, friendly and very rural. Apart from the village shop and the pub, the village hall hosts monthly markets and films and as well as the usual yoga, palates and gardening clubs there are often theatrical events. It's very 'the archers'.

Coronavirus - 22nd March 2020 There are currently no coronavirus cases near us, but we are following advice from the UK government and Devon tourism and have closed until 30th April, to support and help protect our local community. We will continue to monitor the situation and review as necessary. We would love to welcome you to come and stay in the future when we have all come out the other side of this crisis. In the meantime, stay safe; stay well and look after each other.
Otter Rise is the perfect escape for couples for a romantic break or for families with children. Well behaved dogs are very welcome, but please keep them on a lead or under close control as we are surrounded by sheep. We are happy to provide a travel cot with bedding and a high chair for the small people for no extra charge. The accommodation has 4 steps up to the front door, but once inside everything is all on one level and easily accessible for those with mobility issues. Guests have sole use of the mostly level, lawned garden area which is enclosed by hedging and a low wall.
Many of our friends have called Otter Rise a 'little piece of heaven' and everyone who comes to stay loves on the peace and tranquility of the area. Anne's family have lived here for over 40 years and we absolutely love the friendliness of the people, the beautiful walks along the river, through the woods or exploring the ancient, hidden lanes; we love a visit to the nearby beaches and fossil hunting along thr Jurassic Coast. Seatown is a particular favourite, which may have something to do with the pub that is right on the beach and serves excellent food, and what can beat buying the freshest fish straight from the boats on the slipway at Beer? We have our own favourite restaurants and pubs nearby, most of which welcome dogs. A list of these is in the cottage, please feel free to add your favourites too. When you've had enough of all this fresh air and country goodness, 30 minutes to an hour will see you in the heart of the big towns and cities of Plymouth, Exeter, Taunton or Yeovil with plenty of bright lights, shops, theatres and cinemas or, closer to home are numerous small towns with unique, quirky shops to explore.

Tot estava net, còmode i just com ho anuncien.

    Jess2016-06-03T00:00:00Z
  • casa preciosa, precioses vistes.

L'allotjament era espaiosa i acollidora i molt neta. Esperem tornar algun dia!
