It was a very pleasant and wonderful stay! We have enjoyed every second of it. We have stayed at Monica and Rune's cabin over the Nee Year. Rune met us as soon as we arrived to Tromsø and drove us to the cabin which is approximately one hour drive from Tromsø. House is very modern, have a nice fire place and a great view on the lake. Monica and Rune helped us with everything we needed. They have even invited us over to see their huskies :) Overall - we were happy to visit and look forward to do it again during the summer time!

Monica Platz war absolut perfekt! Wir hatten ein paar Tage Aufenthalt in Tromso Stadt, dann im neuen Jahr in die Kabine fuhr, was einen guten Start in das Jahr! Abgedeckt im Schnee bei der Ankunft war die Kabine Bild perfekt, die Aussicht auf den See unglaublich und die Hütte selbst super gemütlich und heimelig warm zu halten und in entspannen. Wir waren sehr glücklich, jeden Abend auf dem Balkon zu stehen und von den Nordlichtern begrüßt ! BEEINDRUCKEND! Monica und ihr Mann waren tolle Gastgeber, sehr hilfsbereit und reagiert auf alle Anfragen. Ich würde dieses schöne Kabine auf ein Paar oder eine Familie empfehlen wir schon versuchen, unsere nächste Reise zurück zu planen! Amy

Vi føler oss veldig heldige at vi valgte å bo på Monica og Rune hytte. De er perfekte verter: oppmerksomme, åpne og nyttig. Hytta i seg selv er en perfekt kombinasjon av å være rustikk, men likevel moderne og komfortable. Det eneste lille problemet er ustabil internettforbindelse, men hvis du ikke har tenkt å være plugget i hundre prosent av tiden, dette er egentlig ikke et problem. Det er vanskelig å være inne når du er omgitt av vakker natur og Northen lys lyser opp himmelen rett over hodet ditt. Vi nøt hvert minutt brukt det og skulle ønske vi kunne komme tilbake for mer. Svein has been the coolest host I've ever met so far. I went to his Cabin with 3 friends and the four of us had the best trip of our lives. It's a great location to see the Northern lights, we could see them every night when it wasn't cloudy. Reindeer can be saw around the place and if you're lucky you can see some whales in your way to the cabin. The cabin is isolated (15min from the road) this made us close to the nature and to the Norwegian countryside in its whole beauty. There's a lac 10m away from the front door. Keep in mind that it's a cabin with a primitive touch. We were ready for adventure and it wasn't easy. It was during the cold winter: you need to make your own fire, therefor Svein provided us with all the needed material. And as no running water is available, he provided us with enough water supplies to hold the entire journey. Take some warm clothes and be equiped to walk on the snow. I highly recommend Svein and his Cabin for adventurers and nature lovers.

Wir hatten eine wundervolle Zeit in Hermonds cabine! Er pickt uns am Flughafen ab und führte uns direkt in die Wohnung. Die Kabine ist viel gemütlicher, als es auf den Bildern aussieht, und wirklich gut locatoed für Tagesausflüge. Im Cabine ist alles, was Sie brauchen, sogar eine Sauna. Er erlaubt uns auch, seine Schneeschuhe auch verwenden :) Wir konnten die Nordlichter jeden Abend von der aparment zu sehen, die unseren Aufenthalt noch perfekter! Wir würden defenitly zu Hermonds Ort zu gehen, empfehlen, wenn Sie darüber nachdenken, nach Tromsø gehen

Hermod und Berit waren fantastische Gastgeber. Sie haben uns am Hafen abgeholt, uns zum Flughafen gefahren, um ein Auto zu mieten, und uns dann zur Cabin geführt. Sie haben uns im Haus alles erklärt und zudem gibt es auch zahlreiche Wanderkarten und nützliche Infos für die Region. Die Cabin ist ein Traum und noch besser, als die Bilder erahnen lassen. Der Begrüssungswein und der gefüllte Kühlschrank waren eine zusätzliche Überraschung. Es hat uns wirklich an nichts gefehlt und wir würden sofort wieder in der Cabin von Hermod und Berit übernachten. This cabin and location were great. Hermod is very helpful. Saw Northern light and orcas from house. Travelled into Tromso most days without any issues. Will stay there again if come back to Norway - this place might even make us come back.

Our stay at Hermods Cabin was a great Experience! He picked us up at the Airport and welcomed us in a very nice and gentle way. We felt ourselfs absolutely confortable. If there was a Problem Hermod reacted emediatly. The Cabin is located at a very nice Spot and has a wonderfull wiev over the Fjord. It is the right Place to watch the Northern Light, a Moose crossing the Cabin, or to take a Break on the Veranda on a sunny Day. It takes only 20 - 25 Minutes to the City of Tromsö. We will come back for sure!

Hermod was a very welcoming host, offering to meet us at the airport and showing us the way to the cabin, as well as helping us with the luggage. He made sure that we were settled in and familiar with the cabin before leaving, and was very responsive to our questions. The cabin was pleasantly more charming and comfortable than advertised, and yes we did indeed get to spot whales, orcas and the northern lights from the comfort of the living room. The binoculars that Hermod provided were a plus! It was very well equipped and we all had a very memorable stay. In addition, we were pleasantly surprised that the neighbours were warm and helpful as well. Being inexperienced driving in the winter, we got the cars stuck in the deep snow. They helped us greatly by helping us pull the cars out. I definitely recommend anyone wishing to experience the beauty of Tromso and Norway to stay at this wonderful accommodation provided by Hermod. Five nights should be the minimum; you never know when the lights will show themselves! There are only good things to speak of about this stay. It is truly a complete and magical experience.

Wow! Hermod ontmoette ons aan het vliegveld en we volgden hem naar de hut in een tempo konden we volgen op de smalle wegen zonder schouders. Hij had sandwiches en bruin kaas en andere Noorse specialiteiten op ons te wachten. Hoewel de foto's waren geweldig, de cabine en het uitzicht tot ver overtrof zowel de foto's en onze verwachtingen. Afgelegen wijk op de heuvel met uitzicht op fjord, maar dicht genoeg om een grote markt voor levensmiddelen en een aantal geweldige activiteiten te krijgen. Hij leende ons ook zijn Garmin (in het Noors) en de visserij zwembad (een vis gevangen, twee kunstaas verloren). We waren er voor de middernachtzon Marathon - die een ongelooflijke ervaring was! Een extra speciale traktatie was zijn dochter, die een of andere manier vond me hardlopen en liep met mij voor een beetje juichen voor mij. We hebben ook genoten van een vreugdevuur op het water met Hermod en zijn vrouw en andere buren tijdens de langste dag van de zon 23 juni (een Noorse traditie). Hoewel we niet hadden gedacht over een bezoek in de winter, na deze reis we zouden graag om te bezoeken tijdens het noorderlicht. Bedankt voor het delen van deze prachtige cabine.

What can I say? All the good reviews speak for themselves and I can only agree with all the other reviewers: our vacation in Dafjord was just perfect! My family and I (a total of 8 people) spent a week at the „borealis house“ in Djaford and we were all amazed. Tryvge was a welcoming, friendly and very helpful host, that made an effort to make sure we are enjoying our holidays. I booked the house some time in advance and have been communicating with Tryvge concerning organisational matters from time to time. Our correspondance has always been very pleasant and I received some very helpful and useful reccommondation and information from our host. The house was very cozy and everyone felt at home immediately. From the living room you have a breathtaking view on the fjord and if the wheather plays along (and you’re lucky), you can even see the aurora borealis from your bed. The house is equiped with everything you might need. We also were the first guests that were able to enjoy the HotPot and the self-constructed Sauna, directly located at the sea. It was an unforgettable and incredible experience to sit in the warm water while admiring the magical nothern lights above our heads – I really can’t put in words how amazing this experience was! It definitely isn’t necessary to book a night tour as you can see the nothern lights conveniently from your accomodation. Another highlight of our stay was the the guided day-trip with Tryvge. He and his wife offer day-trips where you can hike in snowshoes and try out ice fishing. Later, you can enjoy a delicious fish-/meat-vegetables stew on the open fire. The tour was so much fun for us and I highly reccommend to anyone who stays there to take such a tour with Tryvge! I’d also like to thank Tryvge for everything! He was a great host that made a huge contribution to our stay being so amazing! It was a lovely family vacation and we definitely will come back one day! We had a great time in Trygves/Urds house - the location is perfect to explore the nearby mountains. Trygve and Urd are very helpful and nice hosts - the house ist very comfortable and well equipped. Der Aufenthalt war schon von Beginn an traumhaft: Trygve hat an unserem Ankunftstag an seinem neuen Bootshaus gearbeitet und das separat von uns dazu gebuchte Ocean Spa mit vielen schönen Details für uns vorbereitet, so dass wir bereits am ersten Abend einen unglaublich romantischen Start unter den magischen Nordlichtern erleben durften. Das Haus selbst ist genauso wie beschrieben. Alles was man braucht ist vorhanden bis hin zu gemütlichen Pantoffeln und einer riesigen Auswahl an Spielen (incl. Dart) und Büchern. Zusätzlich gibt es im Bad eine Fußbodenheizung, was bei den Temperaturen im Oktober schon sehr angenehm war. Das Haus ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet und mit den großen Fenstern und der fast umlaufenden Terasse perfekt für die Nordlichtbeobachtung geeignet. Wir hatten an allen fünf Abenden das Glück fantastische Nordlichter zu erleben - und sie waren tatsächlich immer genau vor oder über dem Haus. Trygve selbst ist ein sehr guter Gastgeber, der zusätzlich auch Ausflüge mit dem eigenen Boot anbietet, aber auch für selbstorganisierte Touren sehr gerne Auskunft und Tipps gibt. Der Fjord und die Umgebung sind ebenfalls sehr schön, am letzten Tag konnten wir direkt vor dem Haus sogar Wale beobachten und das obwohl die Saison gerade erst begonnen hatte. Die Fahrtzeit nach Tromsø beträgt bei gutem Wetter ca. 60 Minuten. Die Straße war bei uns teilweise etwas eisig, also sollte man zu dieser Jahreszeit trotz Spikes vorsichtig fahren und ggf. für die Strecke dann mehr Zeit einplanen. Wir haben den Aufenthalt so sehr genossen, dass wir am liebsten noch länger geblieben wären und definitv wieder kommen werden. Vielen Dank für den unvergesslichen Aufenthalt!

WINTER WONDERLAND! Nice, comfortable and cosy house. You will feel like home... even better! Perfect location to seeing the northern lights. We saw them on 5 of our 7 nights. This is a fantastic place to stay. The house is beautiful and very comfortable, with a lovely wood-burning stove. It is an extraordinary location, with stunning views in all directions. We loved the sauna, which is right on fjord. The area is peaceful and remote and getting away from the city lights makes it easier to see the Northern Lights. We saw them on 2 of our 3 nights there. All in all, a great place to stay. Urd and Trygve are great hosts.

We hadden een geweldige tijd verblijf in het huis van Ragnhild's. Het huis was erg schoon, warm en gezellig, en we hadden alles wat we nodig hadden. We zagen het noorderlicht elke nacht en gedurende de dag hadden we een geweldig uitzicht op de bergen en de zee vanuit de woonkamer. The cabin was nice and located on a beautiful fjord. It was adequately equipped. We were unlucky with the weather hence we didn't get a glimpse of the northern lights. The issue we had was that all the towels, linens, and blankets have very strong cigarette smell which was a major turn off for us since we are non-smokers. Ragnhild was nice and kind, she met and greeted us at the airport in Tromso.

Ragnhild was a very nice and helpful host. Her house is really cosy and comfortable. Perfect place to go and relax, have long walks along the fjord, see absolutely wonderful landscapes and even northern lights! We loved staying there and discovering the area. I highly recommend this place!

Eirik is a very kind and attentive yet unobtrusive host. The house was warm, welcoming, bright and offered everything we could wish for, spectacular views and aurora borealis included. Our girls had lots of fun playing in the snow and roasting bread on the fire right there in the large garden.

Crème de la Crème. Svært positivt inntrykk av både vert, hytte og sted. Eirik la alt til rette for noen drømmedager på hytta. Kommunikasjonen både før, under og etter oppholdet var fornøyelig og presis. Henting og avlevering av nøkler var uproblematisk. Selve hytta inneholdt alle fasiliteter (og litt til) for noen nydelige dager til rekreasjon og tur i fjellet. Sengetøy var reid opp før vi kom, hytta var vasket, ren og innbydende. Både grill, badstu, bålpanne og høyttalere ble prisverdig benyttet under oppholdet. Informasjon om hytta om turområder rundt var lagt frem i tillegg til kart som kunne benyttes. Alt i alt hadde vi et strålende opphold, og vi kommer gjerne igjen. Topp service og kjempefin hytte i fin beliggenhet gir full score. Anbefales andre på det sterkeste.

We chose the cabin to spend Christmas in family. Eirik and Ingrid have been perfect host, very helpful to prepare our family trip to Reinøy, and very attentive. The location of the island is a bit isolated but the place is epic and the scenery gorgeous. The cabin itself is nicely furnished, we all enjoyed its comfort. It was hard to leave after such a nice Christmas week!

We werden begroet door de gastheren met versgebakken brood en dit smaakte heerlijk na een lange rit. De locatie is mooi gelegen aan de noordkant van het eiland en we kregen een aantal geweldige nachten van middernachtzon.

Einfach fantastisch! Das Haus ist wunderschön, gemütlich und absolut Norweger. Die Besitzer sind sehr nett, sie haben Brot und Marmelade aus ihnen finden. Von der Terrasse aus sahen wir die Nordlichter! Sehr empfehlenswert

Una splendida grande casa, con una vista mozzafiato. Abbiamo avuto tutto il necessario e molto di più. Hamna è una posizione ideale, paese delle meraviglie invernale pacifica e anche se ci si sente come un villaggio separato è a soli 10 minuti per il più grande centro commerciale e l'aeroporto, e 20 minuti dal centro di Tromsø. Avevamo una macchina, ma il bus è stato ottimo e regolare. Mi è piaciuto molto tutto!

A lovely cottage, located superbly with amazing views from the balcony and a homely and welcoming feeling to the whole place. The hosts could not have been more welcoming either, waiting for us till we arrived and providing us with information on the best things to do while in Tromso. Could not recommend this place more!

Verten var der og tok varmt imot oss når vi kom. viste oss rundt og ga oss alt vi trengte å vite. Dette huset var perfect for oss 2 voksne med våre 4 barn, god plass og alt vi trengte for å tilbringe 5 flotte dager i Tromsø. Huset var er perfect utgangspunkt for alle utflukter i området, kort gå tur til naturen og kort kjøretur til det meste. Området var rolig, alt var rent, wifi, og ferskt bakt brød ! Alt var lettvint. anbefaler på det strerkeste å bo her!

Britt and her husband are very nice and helpful. The apartment is located away from Tromso center. It’s is fully equipped, very clean and nice to stay. There is a nice spot for aurora observations nearby. One can get to Tromso by public bus, but the buses are not going on Sundays.

Für Nordlichter ein perfekter Ort. Aus dem Bussystem sind wir nicht ganz schlau geworden, da die Busstationen in Tønsvik nicht angeschrieben sind. Allerdings kann man mit dem Auto ins Fjellparkhaus fahren (unter der Stadt) und gleich beim Zentrum zu Fuss weiter. Das hat uns am besten gedient. Die Wohnung selber ist sehr schön eingerichtet, sauber und es hat sehr viele Informationen und Tipps. Am Vorabend der Abreise haben die Gastgeber alles getan, damit ich am nächsten Morgen problemlos abfahren konnte (es hatte fast einen halben Meter Schnee gegeben). Grossartige Unterkunft

The Britt's house is very clean and quiet, we can ride a sleigh to play around during the day. Very nice flat, everything is new. Great spot to explore the Northern Lights without the artificial lights from the city. And finally Britt is also a very nice person. I can definitely recommend it.
