“Thousand of butterflies (from July until end of August). Keep quiet as they are disturbed. Wait until you see them fly.”

“Renovated in 2019. Nice place to walk and admire nature. A forest in the heart of the city. Mind the ducks, the peacocks, and the Koi fish.”

“Mt. Filerimos, just outside the capital Rhodes (8km), is a hill 267m. high, overlooking the small town of Ialysos and the bay of Ixia and Trianda. From its top you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Aegean with turquoise waters near the shore and deep blue as it stretches toward coast of the Asia Minor. Thickly planned with cypresses, pines and other trees, it is an ideal location for a long walk into the Rhodian nature. A winding road leads to the top of the hill where, in relatively wide plateau, the Monastery of Filerimos is located. This place is also an important archeological site; here once stood the Acropolis of the ancient town of Ialysos with an important temple dedicated to Athena”

“A distance of 73 km from Rhodes Monolithos is a town on the south west side of the island. During a stay on the island it is well worth visiting the Knights of Saint John castle astride the top of a rock 276m high which offers stunning views of the sea. Built on the ruins of a Byzantine fortress in 1476 by Grand Master d’Aubusson, whose coat of arms remain visible over the gate, it was one of the four most powerful fortifications on Rhodes and despite being attacked several times by invading armies it never fell. Also of interest are the region’s religious monuments, namely the church of Agios Panteleimon and the monastery of Skiada. For a swim there is the beach of Fournoi 4 km outside the village.”

“Prasonisi 58 km from Kritinia Prasonisi is the southern cape of Rhodes. Strange creation of nature, during winter is an island and in summer ... peninsula! The beach is sandy and large, on both sides of the strip linking Prasonisi with the rest of Rhodes, less than 500 meters in length. Because the beach on each side has different wave behaviors have been given two names "Wave" and "Flat". From the "Wave" side of the strip, the wave usually has a height of 1-2 meters and a steady direction, 2-3 meters ("good days" for the surfers,) reaches 3-4 m in winter. In the “Flat” part you can swim and enjoy the sun. ”

Beach
“This Blue Flag beach is known for its picturesque scenery and the presence of the town’s iconic Acropolis, sitting atop a large cliff overlooking the shore. Lindos beach is the perfect combination of golden sands and calm, crystal clear waters. This beach is extremely well managed and well maintained, so you can expect to find beach chairs, umbrellas, water sport activities and plenty of cafes and restaurants. Lindos is actually made up of three different beaches and the furthest stretch, Palace Beach, is best for families with small children as the waters there are especially shallow and calm. If you’re looking for a family day at the beach where you can find everything you may need, then Lindos is one of the must-see beaches in Rhodes for you.”
