This is an absolutely wonderful cottage. Quiet and peaceful. We were probably the loudest cottage in town with a toddler and a baby. Andy is a wonderful host with lots of suggestions for local attractions and features, and bent over backwards to help us with any issues (of which there were very few) that arose. Our extended family had lots of chances to spend time together in a relaxed and comfortable space both to prepare for, and recover from, the adventures we had while there. The kitchen is well stocked for making meals there, or a short walk takes you to a pub with excellent food and a great atmosphere. And, with a clothes washer and dryer, we were well prepared for our second week away from Stanton Drew with clean clothes and a relaxed attitude. We highly recommend this rental - great value!!

We had a great stay at Andy's. The cottage has ample space and is filled with character. The location is ideal, surrounded by farms and in front of the front door you see some live chickens rearing. Myself being from Nepal couldn't ask for a better location. We shared a couple of drinks followed by a Nepali dinner. Thank you very much Andy for making our stay pleasant and comfortable and also for the freshly baked buns and garlic choisum(URL HIDDEN)Kabir.

Andy was very welcoming, helping us take our bags in on arrival and leaving us some brownies which were delicious. The cottage is warm, well presented and easily (and happily) accommodated our two families. The location is perfect in many respects, from the wide open fields, great National Trust locations and even the city centre is accessible. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend Andy as a host.

Andy is a fantastic host and made us very comfortable. The house is lovely, spacious and full of character. We attended a wedding at Priston Mill and the location was great, just wished we'd be able to stay longer to appreciate the surroundings which are just stunning. Thanks Andy, you were ace!

Super stay in Stanton Drew, house a great size and very quirky due to its age, lots of character and interesting accessories. Local pub fab and local people exceptionally friendly and helpful. Recommend a walk to Pensford to the Rising Sun too if you have time.

Had a great weekend at Andy's Cottage in Stanton Drew. Andy was a welcoming host and easy to deal with in the lead up to our stay. The cottage is a beautiful old building in a lovely setting, ideal for a place to relax and enjoy the countryside, and with the benefit of only being a short 15 minute drive from Bristol. Georgie welcomed us to her home with very short notice over the Christmas and New Year and was wonderfully accommodating. We enjoyed cooking in the new kitchen and the real fires in the sitting rooms were an added bonus. Maggie and Barney were a delight as well... The pub close by was also fun. Thank you for a perfect weekend in your lovely cottage. It felt really welcoming and cosy and was well equipped. Steve and Sally were kind enough to lend us two of their bikes so we could explore the area. It's also within easy driving distance from Bath. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Sally and Steve are lovely hosts. Sally was there to greet me and show me around the cottage, which was very helpful. The cottage is lovely - in a very quiet hamlet, with lots of public footpaths nearby for dog walking. (Be mindful of the livestock in the fields!) It is a very easy drive to Bath for some culture! The cottage is immaculately clean and has everything one could need for a break. I had a bit of a problem with one of my dogs, and Sally and Steve were so helpful, even though it was late at night. I'm hoping to go back again!

This cottage is nested in a very beautiful village, far from the noisy city. The garden is huge and very well maintained. This is perfect for kids. The house is very clean, the hosts are next door and very helpful. And it is very good value for money. Definitely the perfect quiet place to discover the english country side and Bath, when you have a car.

Die Unterkunft entspricht genau den Angaben. Sehr ruhiges Zimmer, das nett eingerichtet ist, mit genügend Stauraum für Koffer und Kleidung, Schreibtisch und Bett. Kath war hilfsbereit und sehr freundlich, wann immer ich Fragen hatte (unsere Aufenthalte haben sich allerdings jeweils nur kurz überschnitten, so dass ich sie nur kurz gesehen habe). Das Haus ist sehr sauber, ordentlich und angenehm unaufdringlich eingerichtet. Es ist alles vorhanden, was man benötigt: Von Küchenausstattung, über Bügelbrett und Bügeleisen bis hin zu Fön und Infomaterial zu Bristol und Umgebung. Das Haus liegt in einem Vorort von Bristol, der mit dem Bus v.a. unter der Woche gut zu erreichen ist. Die Fahrt dauert je nach Verkehrslage etwa 20 bis 30 Minuten. Eine gute Unterkunft, falls man mit dem Auto unterwegs ist (guter Ausgangspunkt für z.B. Ausflüge auch über Bristol hinaus nach Bath, Wells o.ä.). Mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln ist es manchmal ein wenig umständlich (auch wenn regelmäßig Busse fahren) und der Ort liegt etwas 'weitab vom Schuss'. Für ruhige Abende empfehlenswert.

Kath has been really welcoming and kind. I was with her for two weeks and I really enjoyed it. The center is easily accessible with a single bus, the number 2. Definitely, recommended.

Kath made me feel welcome. She is a pleasant host. The list is as it is discribed. The house is very clean and organized. The public bus is nearby and goes directly into town. And there is a wonderful walking/ biking trail right behind Kath's back garden. Peaceful and quiet.

Kath's house is located in a beautiful and quite place. She is a kind lady and gave me a warm welcom there. Also, the interior of her house is quite new, in lovely coulour and facing the sunshine, much better than what the photoes show!

I had a great time staying at Kath's house. I really felt like being at home in her house as she is a very friendly and welcoming host which made it easy to live together with her. The house itself is nicely furnished, clean, homely, has a modern kitchen and is situated in a quiet neighbourhood. There is a bus to the city center every 10 minutes which takes 20-30 minutes depending on the traffic and also stops at the train and bus station. All in all, I would definitely recommend staying at Kath's house!

Das Haus entspricht genau der Beschreibung und ist sehr liebenswert eingerichtet. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig und in dem Garten kann man prima entspannen. Auch wenn das Haus in einem kleineren Vorort von Bristol liegt, kann man mit verschiedenen Buslinien (die alle 10 bis 30 min abfahren) die Innenstadt, die Bus Station und den Bahnhof sehr gut erreichen.

Kath was extremely friendly and welcoming. She respected personal space but there was also a nice atmosphere in the house. The house was very clean and all the equipment seemed new. Very hot powerful shower! The garden has a lovely view across bristol. Bus stop 30 seconds from the house which goes straight to temple meads and centre. Overall very good stay and great value for money.

Paul and Rach are such a kind and friendly couple. They really made us feel at home from the minute we got there. Clutton is a lovely village with some nice pubs nearby and the view from their garden is spectacular.

Perfect place to stay if you want to visit Bath and Bristal. Nice peaceful and quiet village, 15 minutes drive from Bath.

We loved the place very much. Caroline is the great host, charming, helpful, she knows what the guests need, a warm, comfortable, private home, and 5 star bed! It's quite country side living but 17 minutes drive to the Bath city centre. We all wished we could stay longer there. I will definitely recommend it to anyone who traveling to Bath area and we'll definitely book Caroline's house if we come to Bath again. Thank you very much, Caroline and Mathew!

Quaint cottage just outside of bath. I was with my wife and her parents and it was just perfect for us. The house and grounds had a lot of character and was clean. Having 2 bathrooms was a plus. We rented a car to travel to the country and there was a parking spot available which was a nice perk. Overall, the house provided a quiet space out in the country and we were able to explore much more areas without having to deal with a lot of traffic. Caroline and her husband were very nice and accommodating. Highly recommend.

Alison's house is truly beautiful and outstanding. The house has been renovated with such love and care and we had a well needed break. The beds are super comfortable and huge. Each of the bathrooms are well equipped and the house has a real warmth about it. The entire house is furnished to a very high quality and the grounds are lovely. Alison was very welcoming and did everything to ensure we had a perfect stay. It was really perfect. If you can tear yourself away from the house there are some lovely pubs nearby to walk to.

WOW we've just had the most amazing weekend away here. The house is just STUNNING and perfect in every way. The kitchen has every implement you could ever need, the bedrooms are huge and the beds are soooooo comfy. The garden is a complete suntrap and we spent happy happy hours in the sunshine drinking pimms. Just perfect! Alison is just the most yummy scrummy hostest and we're so hapy that we got to stay in her beautiful home. Thank you Alison! :) x

Had an amazing time at this house for my friend's hen do. The house and grounds are stunning, and were very appreciated by us all. Beds were very comfortable and there were enough bathrooms to keep all 12 women happy. The only issue was that we couldn't find a cheese grater though the rest of the kitchen was very well stocked, and the Aga turned itself off - someone who's used to Agas suggested it needs servicing. But no other quibbles. We all had a great time and were very reluctant to leave.

We've just had a fantastic Hen weekend at this gorgeous house. Huge thanks to Alison & family for attending to every request and detail. Sod's law the weather turned colder and the boiler broke just before our weekend but Alison promised to keep us warm and she did! We had heaters in every room, a roaring wood burner & AGA, plenty of hot water and fabulously warm, comfy beds. I had to kick my hot water bottle out on the first night! I can highly recommend this house.

The house was fantastic. The perfect venue for our large family catch up. A lot of time and effort has gone into making this house a treasure. Perhaps the house could of provided of 'Local Information' booklet, places to eat, those places not open on Sunday evening, etc. Tip for future guests: take some slippers as shoes are not allowed on the upper levels. But to reconfirm the house, location and host were fantastic and well recommended.

It's a lovely room, clean and cosy. Quiet area, discrete though friendly host. Comfortable access to the bathroom. In general it was undisturbed stay and healthy sleep very much needed for sightseeing in Bristol. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

The house was very clean and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was very well stocked if you wished to cook and also had a pretty private garden. It's in a lovely quiet location about 20 mins from Bath. We have recommended the house to others and would definitely stay here agin.

The host had provided plenty of info about the cottage and surrounding area. The cottage was quiet and secluded but so close to all the main places of interest.

The place was just amazing! Very clean spacious and had everything we needed. Decoration was amazing too! Meryl is an excellent host. She is friendly and responsive to our queries and she was kind enough to suggest places around the area. Would definitely recommend it!

We really enjoyed our short stay at Collier House. It's a beautifully fitted out three bedroomed house. Everything is bright and clean and there are lots of little touches which added to our enjoyment including milk in the fridge and real coffee for the cafetiere. There is also a lovely courtyard garden. High Littleton isn't a chocolate box village but it's very pleasant and well situated for Bath, Bristol and surrounding Somerset town and country. Be aware that the kitchen is not huge so the host has gone for a washer rather than a dishwasher as there isn't room for both. Lovely and helpful host.

House is a good quiet spot dough if Bristol

It was a relaxed stay and Lionel was interesting to talk to, providing lots of local knowledge in response to my quizzing.

Lionel is a friendly host. His place is clean and tidy and the room has a small desk, clothes rail and bedside cabinet. Basic breakfast (self service) included. For Bristol-great value!

I was recently without a home for a few nights while waiting to move into my new residence. Michael was good enough to accommodate me at short notice. His home is very clean, warm and spacious and had all the amenities I could possibly need for my stay. My bed was (almost too!) comfortable with plenty of fresh linen and towels and the exclusive use of a nearby bathroom with a fantastic shower! There was off-street parking for my vehicle (I easily parked a Transporter van there) and good public transport to Bristol. The local takeaway is only 5 minutes away but Michael's kitchen is very well-equipped if you prefer to cook. Michael is a very friendly and helpful host, his communications were second-to-none throughout and I would not hesitate to recommend him and his home to anyone reading this.

We spent one week in Michael's house in March and everything was much more than we expected. Temple Cloud,is a small,quiet and nice village in the heart of Somerset countryside,just 25 minutes driving from Bath and Bristol Michael's house is so cozy,clean and most of all is huge with an amazing garden!! The kitchen is very spacious and functional with everything you need and he let us to use everything we wanted. He also provided for our breakfast with eggs,bread,cereals,milk,tea and fruit. The room we slept in at the second floor was very warm and clean with scented sheets and towels. Michael is wonderful,always smily and very helpful for all we needed. Most of the time he was away,(always in touch,just in case)so we had the entire house for us. Wonderful and amazing stay,we really reccomend it.

Everything was perfect. I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. I was visiting family and needed somewhere to stay for the week. The house was only ten minutes walk from my son's house and a couple of minutes walk to the bus stop. Buses run half hourly to Bristol one way and Wells the other way. The bedroom was spacious, the bed comfortable and there was plenty of cupboard space. The bathroom was spotless as was the rest of the house and the shower worked well. Michael provided basic breakfast needs and was happy for me to use the kitchen whenever I needed. The sitting room was comfortable and housed a tv which I could use as and when I wanted. Michael was the perfect host, not intrusive, informative and friendly. I would definitely stay there again and would recommend the property to anyone wishing to stay in the area.
