A truly unique cottage heralding the entrance to historic Sudeley Castle, the Castle Gatehouse is a dog-friendly property that comfortably sleeps 4 guests in two en-suite bedrooms. The Gatehouse is split into two wings, accessed by separate doors. On one side you have a four-poster bed master bedroom with en-suite shower room. On the other side you enter the kitchen/diner, going upstairs to the living area and then up into the second king size bedroom with en-suite shower room.

Guests staying at the Castle Gatehouse enjoy complimentary (other than separately ticketed events) day-time entrance to Sudeley Castle & Gardens during the open season. INTRODUCTION Booking the Castle Gatehouse is akin to booking your very own miniature castle for your stay at Sudeley! The former gatekeeper’s house marks the entrance to the castle grounds, and has been converted and restored to provide comfortable accommodation for up to four guests over its unique layout. Its ancient and impressive structure is complemented with symmetrical gardens lined with iron railings and a stone courtyard in the centre. The accommodation is arranged such that Bedroom One, with its four-poster bed and en-suite shower room, is accessed via a separate door, in one wing of the Gatehouse. Across the courtyard is a another door, leading into a well-equipped kitchen with a dining table and chairs for four guests, a utility area with stairs leading up to a beautifully furnished, cosy living area and additional separate WC just off the landing. A further seven steps will take you to Bedroom Two, a spacious room with a king size double bed. A few steps down will lead you to the en-suite shower room, with a concealed washing machine and tumble dryer. Outside, guests can admire the pastoral views that line the driveway to the castle from two individually gated gardens– a mirror image of each other – neatly connected by a shared patio in the middle with an outdoor dining table and chairs. Situated just a short walk from the beautiful Cotswold town of Winchcombe, guests will be spoiled for choice when it comes to things to do and see and places to eat while staying at the Gatehouse! Recently selected by and featured in Suitcase Magazine (The Culture of Travel) as one of 'The 14 Coolest Cabins in the UK & Ireland',this former Blacksmith's building was transformed by Francis Philips Architects into a great escape, with the addition of a suspended walkway & a timber frame extension clad in charred Siberian Larch. The well equipped kitchen is the hub of our house, with a big table, concrete floor and full height windows and doors leading to a small private garden. The sitting room has a wood burning stove and double height ceiling; the suspended walkway above it links the two upstairs bedrooms - the main bedroom with a high pitch ceiling, adjacent dressing space & bathroom and the kids/twin bedroom which is in the eaves. The third bedroom is downstairs and has its own adjacent shower room.
Located in the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Gretton is a lovely village located in the heart of the Cotswolds. Gretton is a sweet village with no shops but a great local pub! We are a couple of miles from the market town of Winchcombe, home to Sudeley Castle and some truly wonderful restaurants, we are also just 9 miles from beautiful Cheltenham. The local walks are stunning and varied. Take the GWR steam train to the races and Cheltenham Festival, watch or partake in the marvellous Prescott Hill Climb, and visit the home of The Bugatti Owners Club. Winchcombe has an award winning Budgens with local produce and COOK products.

The property can sleep 11 in the main house (4 bedrooms and a sofa bed) and 5 in the annexe (3 bedrooms). It's truly a unique with a cottage feel but with large rooms and modern appliances. The property is used as a luxury residential health retreat centre (see The Milestone Detox) and as an AirBnB venue. The orangery is stunning with an incredible home cinema (DVDs available) and grand piano. The kitchen table seats 6 but there is ample outside seating for 10+ off the kitchen during summer months. The dining room table seats 8 comfortably and with the extension seats 12 (PLEASE NOTE THAT IF YOU HAVE MORE THAN 12 YOU MAY NOT ALL BE SEATED IN THE DINING ROOM AT ONE TIME). If you require additional chairs in the dining room, there are 18 Habitat folding chairs stored in the Orangery cupboard to the left of the fireplace. There is an antique well in the corner of the Dining Room with a thick toughened glass cover, a common character feature of historic Cotswold homes. In the main house (sleeps 11) there are 4 double bedrooms 2 with en suites, two bedrooms can be twins plus a single folding bed if required. There is also a sofa bed downstairs if needed. The annexe (sleeps 5) is included for groups 11 or more (excluding infants). It is not included for smaller groups unless an upgrade fee of £150 per night is paid. In the annexe there are two twin bedrooms upstairs and a single bed/private space behind a curtain downstairs. If you would like to use the 2 person infrared sauna it will be £150 extra. We can also offer an early checkin and late checkout 8 hour extension for £20 per person subject to availability. We welcome all types of groups and particularly family and friend reunions, hen parties and corporate teams wanting a special intimate space for a 2 or 3 days. Our town of Winchcombe is fast becoming known as the walkers hub of the Cotswolds, the Wincombe Way comprises of a figure of eight with Winchcome at the centre. Each loop is 21 miles around but these are subdivided into 3-5 mile sections all beautifully described in the Winchcombe Way booklet available in the town. You will love the local shops, pubs, restaurants, and Sudeley Castle, the last home of Catherine Parr the surviving wife of Henry VIII.

Thank you for looking at our listing for our home on the western edge of Cheltenham. We love living in this area which is a quiet private estate and we hope that you will enjoy it too. Our house is perfect for a large family gathering or some time away with friends. Being in Cheltenham we are convenient for the city of Gloucester and Regency Cheltenham. We are also ideally placed to explore The Cotswolds and if you wish - further afield. The house is located on a private estate with a variety of housing from flats through to large houses such as this. We have mainly young professionals and young families in the area. The small, enclosed park opposite the house is well used by kids playing soccer, people exercising dogs and neighbours just hanging out. The natives are friendly and do not bite. Some are even house trained. Just a short 5 - 8 minute walk from the house are local supermarkets catering for tastes from budget (Aldi) to luxury (Wholefoods), clothes shops (Next & Outfit), some coffee shops and other retailers. There are a number of public footpaths nearby. We are about 2 miles from the town centre, the racecourse and the airport. If you need to rent a car then we have Enterprise a short walk from the house and Avis, Hertz and Alamo a short drive away.

Following a full yet sympathetic refurbishment in June 2016, the cottage has plenty of historic charm combined with country chic. Apple Tree Cottage contains 2 double bedrooms (1x kingsize & 1x standard), an upstairs shower room, a fitted kitchen with integrated appliances (inc microwave, dishwasher, washing machine etc) and a restyled, cosy sitting room with fully functioning open fireplace, plus wifi throughout the house and a Smart TV. The cottage is packed full of character features such as original beams and inglenook fireplace, with a relaxed, cosy country atmosphere. The property also boasts a substantial rear garden, which has sun throughout the day – ideal for lazy afternoons and evening barbecues. The substantial garden space really sets the property apart from its neighbours with one of the largest gardens in Vineyard Street, you can watch the local birds feeding from the boughs of both the apple trees, pick some herbs to accompany your supper or simply enjoy the rose garden. There is a large garden terrace, complete with sofas & chairs for summer lounging, plus a BBQ with complimentary charcoal supplied in the summer.   • Una casa meravellosa en una ubicació fantàstica i tranquil·la. Ple de caràcter i amb un munt de reflexions. Hem trobat els llits i els llençols molt còmodes. El jardí a la part posterior és encantador i té unes dimensions molt bones en comparació amb altres cases del carrer.   • La nostra estada a Apple Tree Cottage era perfecta. El paquet de benvinguda i les flors fresques van ser un toc encantador. Vam gaudir de begudes al jardí i vam jugar cartes al costat del foc. La casa era còmoda i acollidora amb tot allò que necessitàvem durant un cap de setmana llarg. La ubicació no podia ser millor, moments des del Camí de Cotswold amb la interminable xarxa de passejades. Winchcombe és deliciós. El nostre pub preferit és The Lion amb un bon bar a la cervesa i un saborós menjar. També vam fer un parell de visites a The White Hart i també vam gaudir d'un bon àpat. Els fanàtics dels aliments a North Street van ser fantàstics per a menjar delicat, bon esmorzar i cafè. Per als elements bàsics de la vida quotidiana hi ha un supermercat Co-op. Sens dubte, tornarem!

  • Una petita casa de camp a una ciutat preciosa. Ens allotgem per 3 nits i vam gaudir de la nostra estada. La casa està molt neta i la ubicació no podia ser millor. Podríem caminar fàcilment a peu per esmorzar i sopar i el castell és just al carrer. Assegureu-vos de comprovar els suggeriments que va oferir l’amfitrió, ja que tots van ser un èxit amb la meva família.

    The Bothy is a conversion of a 17th Century Cotswold stone stable and a 20th Century kennel building. On the ground floor is the living room with a beautiful wood burning stove, a fully equipped kitchen, a comfortable double bedroom and a modern shower room. Whilst upstairs, which is accessed from a narrow oak staircase, you can find the twin bedroom. The living room has been fitted to retain all its original features and is furnished in period style. I have included many Georgian and Victorian pieces and have also included a large settee and two arm chairs, dining table and chairs for 4, corner cupboard and a dash of the 21st Century with a Sky television. The Bothy is beautifully situated in the Postlip Coombe on the leeward side of the Cotswolds highest hill and yet only minutes from Winchcombe, a classic Cotswold "wool" town, renowned for its excellent shops, restaurants and architecture.

    Bramley Cottage is the perfect retreat for a couple, family or small gathering of friends who are seeking a peaceful break surrounded by the magnificent Cotswold countryside. The property is laid out as follows: Kitchen/dining room: This smart and tastefully decorated room contains an electric oven with four-ring induction hob, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, cafetière and toaster. There is also a radio, coat hooks and a wooden dining table which comfortably seats four. Stairs lead up from the kitchen/dining room to the first floor landing, off which are the following rooms: Living room: This bright and spacious living area overlooks the superb grounds and countryside beyond and contains a large leather corner sofa, a double sofa bed, a Smart TV with DVD player, selection of DVDs, books and board games and two storage cupboards; Master bedroom: This well presented bedroom has a wonderful balcony which provides stunning views of the surrounding countryside and grounds. This room contains a king size bed, a freestanding wardrobe, chest of drawers, Freeview TV and chair; Family bathroom: The stylish bathroom contains a bath with overhead shower, toilet, wash basin and heated towel rail. Two steps lead down from the front door into the enclosed designated garden, a peaceful area which contains a bistro table with two chairs. Bordered by mature trees and mostly laid to lawn, this spot is perfect for relaxing after days spent exploring the region. The owners’ grounds cover five acres and guests are welcome to explore the luscious green lawns, woodland footpaths and paddocks at their leisure. Dogs must be kept on a lead when in the paddocks as sheep and chickens graze here. To the far left of Orchard Lodge lies a well-maintained communal garden with a wooden table and chairs, a parasol and three sun loungers which guests are welcome to use. There is also a summer house with two large sofas and a cosy wood burning stove which is shared with B&B guests from Orchard Lodge. Off-street parking for two cars is available at the front of the property.
    The Cotswolds are characterised by attractive small towns and villages, built of the underlying Cotswold stone (a yellow oolitic limestone). In the Middle Ages the wool trade made the Cotswolds prosperous and some of this money was put into the building of churches, leaving the area with a number of large handsome Cotswold stone "wool churches". The area remains affluent, which has encouraged the establishment of many high quality pubs, restaurants and antique shops.

We are a friendly household, a very much 'home from home'.
    My home is in the countryside, near Pershore College, an easy walk into town ... Under a mile and your right in the middle of Pershore. Pershore has an abbey, a lovely park, indoor market, theatre, cinema, tennis courts, sports centre with a swimming pool and plenty of places to eat. I'm flexible on arrival times, on certain days....so if you wish to turn up early and leave your car to walk into Pershore then that's fine.....just let me know.
    My home is down a quite country road, overlooking Bredon Hill. If you stand down the bottom of the garden you can also see the Malvern Hills.

Guests would have sole access to the family bathroom between themselves and free parking on the driveway. Wireless internet is also SUPER fibre optic Unfortunately, we are not offering breakfast at this stage. The Cheltenham racecourse is just 2.6 miles away (about a 25min walk away from the location) and a 5 mins drive or less depending on traffic.
    The home is also about 10 mins walking distance from local shops, Tesco’s and the village pubs and it’s directly next to a bus stop which takes 5/10 mins to get into town.
    The neighbourhood is very family orientated and there is a green park area at the front of the house which is used by dog walkers and children playing.

Free wifi. Direct buses run every 10 mins to racecourse, Cheltenham town centre and train station.

    A lovely little annex, situated at the end of the beautiful village of Fladbury. The annexe is a quiet country location in a row of 4 cottages and boasts views over open fields. The location offers direct access to footpaths along the river Avon and water meadows. It is walking distance to the village pubs and famous local butcher. The annex is completely self contained and is privately fenced all around with its own designated parking place. Key safe access means no need for check in.
    The annex is a room containing a small double bed and en-suite shower and toilet. Access to the annex is via a key safe placed directly next to the door which means you can come and go at your own leisure. We do not need to be here to check you in or out and will give you your space... however should you need anything we’re just a text message away! You will have everything you need in the room for your stay. The bed is a small double bed. The annexe is set up with demand TV and Netflix and WiFi. We have provided a microwave, kettle, tea, coffee, cappuccino, UHT milk capsules and quick porridge oats. Fresh milk can be provided daily just drop me a message. Complimentary snacks are supplied when possible. We supply plates and bowls, knifes, forks, spoons and a tea towel. There is a little bar stool and space at the side bench for you to sit and eat. Sheets and towels are freshly laundered with Fairy for every guest. There is a lovely little electric fire to keep you cosy and warm during your stay, it has a built in thermostat! We will have it all toasty before your stay! The shower is a large corner electric shower. Toilet and sink with electric hot water supply. Please go careful this gets very hot! Large towels are provided on a heated towel rail. Velux window in the en suite. There is a basket containing everything you should need, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, tooth brush and paste.... but please if you have brought your own save them for guests who have forgotten or had to stop unplanned as I do not charge for these. You’ll also have WiFi if you decide to bring a laptop. For anyone staying longer than one night I can come in and clean and do bins daily and top up supplies, please just drop me a message when you are heading out so I don’t disturb you. Ladies please note there is no hair dryer in the annex. You will find a couple of extra blankets about to keep you cosy during your stay and fairy lights make for a lovely evening in the annex. There is a outside black bin, please use this for any take away containers, please do not leave them in the room overnight.
    A quiet end of village location with lovely walks and two good pubs The Chequers for food and drink and The Anchor for drinking. There is also a village social club. The local butchers is famous for its pork pies (Fladbury Pies) they also sell meals and savoury snacks. The annex is on the end of a row of 4 cottages. Totally self contained. Breakfast can be found at craycombe Farm a short drive or nice walk through the village from the Annex.

At the rear of the lawn there are two outdoor tables with seating for up to eight guests, and a charcoal barbecue (available in the summer months). Guests are welcome to unload their luggage opposite the property and there are very reasonably priced Pay & Display car parks located a short walk away from the house.
    Set above the River Isbourne, Winchcombe is arguably the hidden jewel in the Cotswolds crown. The town became prosperous from its Abbey (one of the largest Benedictine monasteries in England), its wool trade and as a producer of tobacco. Although the Abbey has gone there is still much to see of historic Winchcombe and the wealth of the town is reflected in many of the buildings, as well as in the surrounding countryside. No visit to Winchcombe would be complete without seeing four of the most prestigious historical sites in the area. Sudeley Castle (home of Queen Katherine Parr up to her death in 1548), Hailes Abbey (a Cistercian House founded in 1246 and owned by English Heritage), Stanway House (a Jacobean manor house with a world-famous fountain) and Belas Knap (a Neolithic long barrow dating from approximately 3800 BC) all offer a fascinating insight into the life of our ancestors. Known as the walking capital of the Cotswolds, Winchcombe sits at the intersection of the Cotswold Way, the Gloucestershire Way, the Wardens Way, the Windrush Way and the new Winchcombe Way. Alternatively, the GWR Steam Railway provides a fantastic fun day out for the family, running from Toddington through Winchcombe to Cheltenham Racecourse. Winchcombe has a mouthwatering selection of top quality restaurants, a wine bar, pubs, tea shops and a contemporary delicatessen/coffee shop. So whether you want a quick snack or a leisurely meal you'll be spoilt for choice. With a vibrant Music & Arts Festival in May/June, a Country Show in August and a Christmas Festival in December, Winchcombe also has a busy cultural calendar.     This superking room is located on the top floor of a large townhouse and offers a quiet and comfortable place to stay. From the south facing window you can look out over the local park to Cleeve Hill. The room benefits from an ensuite shower room and also a guest bed if you want to accommodate a child or another guest.
    The property is located on a small private estate on the western edge of Cheltenham. It is convenient for Cheltenham, Tewkesbury and Gloucester. Being a short drive from both the M5 and A419 the property is convenient for travel further afield to Bristol, Birmingham etc.
