All are welcoming detached cabins, the cosy interior, veranda and private hot tub (added extra), makes Fontburn Cabin is the ideal place for a relaxing break for both families and couples alike. As soon as you arrive you will unwind amidst beautiful scenery in a superb fully equipped lakeside cabin with wonderful views. Northumberland is great for both adults and children, with lots to see and do. There are lots of brilliant activities you can enjoy in Northumberland and the surrounding area from golf and horse riding, to town and city shopping they are all just waiting for you, and feel free to ask us about local spots that the tourists don't know about. Our luxury cabin accommodation provides the ideal basis for a unique holiday. Fontburn cabin is a unique accommodation consisting of two bedrooms accommodating up to six people. One bedroom is a double while the other is a twin. The living room settee converts into a bed for two. Our open plan living area has a modern fully equipped kitchen, flat screen TV with Freeview DVD and iPhone docking system, the dining table seats six. We have a selection of books and games for adults and children. This cabin is a haven for fun and relaxation.
The cabin is situated in a very tranquil part of Northumberland. Our cabins are set in forty acres of beautiful countryside, with easy access to many of Northumberland’s most picturesque attractions, including Alnwick Castle and Garden, Kielder Forest, Holy Island and miles of stunning moorland beauty. The park has a fully licensed Clubhouse, which serves a selection of food throughout the week and features regular entertainment. If you don’t feel like cooking for a small charge, you can have a meal delivered to your cabin, so you don’t have to worry about that extra glass of wine before you drive home! Children can enjoy the small play park.

The bustling harbour and shops are within walking distance, as is a sandy beach, whilst a few minutes' drive brings you to historic Warkworth, with its medieval castle, charming shops and pubs all serving good food. Comfortably furnished, this bright cottage offers two bedrooms, one double and one bunk and a bathroom with a bath for those long soaks after a tiring day on the beach. There is also a shower. A small fitted kitchen and bright sitting room with woodburning stove, TV with freeview and DVD player, books, board games, DVDs and wifi complete this pretty cottage. I moved to Amble by the Sea five years ago and I just love it! Here are just a few things; 1. A proper working harbour with sea going boats..when they land the fish, gulls whirl about to see what they can steal and there’s a beach to meander on. There are boats for hire to see Coquet Island..a bird sanctuary about a mile off the coast ...or for fishing trips, at the Harbour too. 2. A lovely, picturesque Marina to have a walk around with a nice bar, with views going up to Warkworth one way and down to the pier the other. Great place to take sunset photos. 3. Last year, Amble won the best coastal High Street. We have a great selection of shops and , at a time when some High Streets are declining, we’re expanding. 4. The Pods..these are upended boats made into little, cute craft and artisan shops. Located at the Harbour, round the corner from the cottage. 5. Great restaurants on the doorstep! No taxi required. The Boatyard has won awards for the last 2 years as the best fish restaurant in the U.K. 6. A good selection of pubs and coffee shops. A new cafe bar has just opened at the Harbour serving terrific food. 7. Lovely walks..by the sea or in the country..Amble is also very cycle friendly..hire bikes are available locally. Kayaks and surf/paddle boards are also available for hire. 8. Golden beaches that stretch for miles...even in the Summer you can find stretches of beach with no one else there! 9. Lots of local picturesque villages..castles..secluded bays..nice pubs..great restaurants..all within a few miles of Amble by the Sea. 10. And ..the greatest Northumberland foible...you can’t go anywhere without people saying ‘hello’ to you. Amble by the Sea isn’t called ‘the friendliest port’ for nothing!

Lovely kingsized bedroom, oak flooring, quality linen and towels supplied with complimentary toiletries . Pretty country style bathroom with bath and shower over. Children are very welcome and we can supply a cot (no linen) and a high chair for babies, a z- bed with linen for older children is available at no extra charge. There is a very comfortable sofa bed with a pocket sprung mattress in the living area which will sleep 2 adults for the odd night or a short break. One well behaved dog welcome £10 extra charge

This large, comfortable room has stunning views over rolling fields. Close to the coast and a 5 minute drive to Alnwick, a 5 minute walk from Alnmouth train station, it's ideal for exploring Northumberland. Ideal for couples or families, the room has a king size bed, sofa bed & if required, a cot. A continental breakfast is also provided in the room. The en-suite bathroom has a luxurious roll-top bath & large shower. Well behaved dogs are welcome.
You will have use of a large bedroom at the top of our detached family home. The room has a dining table, kettle, and fridge, with tea, filter coffee, sugar, milk, continental breakfast and fruit supplied. The house makes a great base for exploring the stunning coastline, castles and countryside of the local area, and the large comfortable room with a HD TV and Chromecast will give you space to relax during your stay. Well behaved dogs are welcome. The local area has stunning wide open beaches, and is often referred to as 'Doggie Heaven'. We have a large entrance hallway, you are welcome to leave any luggage here if you need to check in early, or if you need later. We often have this arrangements with visitors who take the train.
Bilton is a picturesque village approximately 1.5 miles from Alnmouth. The area has a range of great walks both inland and to the coast. Nearby Alnmouth is a beautiful village with a range of independently owned cafes, pubs and restaurants. The large, quiet beaches are ideal for families and are very dog friendly.

Welcome to The Lonnen! I live in an idyllic and secluded cottage in rural Northumberland. I have two stylish and comfortable private rooms, each with their own en-suite shower room. The rooms are accessed via a separate entrance to my home - and your room has it’s own lock on the door, meaning you can come and go as you wish. There is plenty of parking and a beautiful outdoor seating area with views across the National Park. Breakfast is freshly made and delivered to your room each morning
The Lonnen is a traditional old stone-built Northumbrian cottage. It's located down a private track so offers peace and tranquility, beautiful views and plenty of luxurious features to ensure you enjoy your stay. There is a separate entrance, which you will have a key for - allowing you to come and go as you please. I'm always around and happy to help - but you can be as independent as you like once you arrive! The room is light and airy, with a modern shower room (with a toilet, sink, large shower and fluffy towels). It's stylishly decorated and should include everything you need for a relaxing break. There is a pantry area in the corner of the room - there's a Nespresso machine, kettle, toaster, small fridge (with fresh milk), a selection of hot drinks, bread and cereal. I also try to leave a freshly baked cake for when you arrive - so make sure you check the 'Treats' tin! There is a fold-out table where you can enjoy breakfast. It could also be used for work if needed. Please note that there isn't a separate dining room or living room for guests. I also have a kingsize room at The Lonnen, which is available on Airbnb. The cottage is situated on my family's farm, which is part of the Northumberland National Park. The Simonside Hills are just five minutes drive away, as is the local town of Rothbury. You can find banks, the Post Office and lots of shops and pubs there. We are also just 15-20 minutes away from two beautiful National Trust properties - Wallington and Cragside. It's about 20 minutes to the market towns of Alnwick and Morpeth, and 45 minutes to Hadrians Wall. You can also get to the beautiful Northumberland coastline in about 30 minutes, so we really are perfectly placed for exploring Northumberland. There are plenty of good restaurants, pubs and coffee shops near by - and you can walk to the local pub, The Gate, in about 15-20 minutes. There are loads of public footpaths in the area if you like to walk - I'm happy to provide a packed lunch if you need it!

A luxury one-bedroom holiday apartment, situated one minute's walk from both Alnwick town centre and the Alnwick Garden; recently refurbished to an exemplary standard with a mix of rustic charm and all mod cons. This apartment will suit a couple, and provision can be made for an infant; unfortunately we cannot accommodate pets.
This early nineteenth century property was once a Victorian school house, but has been a residence for over a hundred years. In 2015 the property was purchased by its current owner, and no expense has been spared on renovating this beautiful and elegant apartment. The large arched windows have been double-glazed with heritage glass, and the gas-fired central heating system is brand new. Even so, there is a beautiful log-burning stove in the living room fireplace - with fuel provided - so the apartment is truly a cosy space even with its modern, light and airy open-plan aesthetic. Other features include a wet-room with both rainfall shower and handheld showerheads ( the plumbing has also been completely refitted in 2017) as well as underfloor heating; a washing machine and sensor dryer; a fully modern kitchen with a brand new dual fuel cooker, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster, microwave and dishwasher; a 32” television with Freeview and DVD player; free wifi access; iron and ironing board; inside storage for up to two bicycles; and an outdoor area shared with a second holiday apartment. There is a large breakfast bar (that will also function as a perfect workspace if required), along with a bespoke drop-leaf oak table that is left open in the living room area for evening dining, but can fold away if extra space is preferred. Bedding, towels, a hairdryer, soaps, complimentary shower gel, shampoo and conditioner are all provided. Coffee, tea, sugar and milk will be present upon arrival.
Hotspur Hill House is situated on a quiet side street of Alnwick, a picturesque medieval market town and the county town of Northumberland. The centre of town is only a two minute walk away, as is the famous Alnwick Garden (situated within the grounds of Alnwick Castle). The Tanners Arms - an award-winning real ale pub and staple of The Good Beer Guide - can be found at the bottom of the street. The coast and nearest beach is at Alnmouth, two miles to the East. Alnwick itself is in the heart of Northumberland: a great base from which to explore our fair county, and easily accessible as it is directly adjacent to the A1.

My home is a characterful and spacious 100 year old stone cottage in a tiny quiet street. There's 3 comfy bedrooms, new kitchen and lounge with dining table and Netflix. It is a peaceful west facing street nestled in Amble. I now have a luxury 6 person Hot Tub Spa too! Amble, known as "The Friendliest Port", has made the Sunday Times Top 10 Seaside Places to Live List. Northumberland also won Gold in the British Travel Awards 2018, so come and see what all the fuss is about!
Big lounge-dining room with modern reclining sofas and footstools for seating 6 comfortably. Smart TV with DVD player and a range of dvds for guests to use. A wide range of books and some games for all ages are provided too. There is a brand new kitchen in a country cottage style with modern touches. The house provides all the equipment I have in my own home, plus a full sized dishwasher to save you the hassle of washing up. There is a small private yard to the front which can get a lot of sunshine and is ideal for lazy mornings and summer BBQs. The rear of the property has been completely renovated with a luxurious 6 person Hot Tub Spa fitted at the end of February 2019. This is a high quality hard shell Hot Tub, not an inflatable! The Spa has a solid thermal lid which can be locked in place when not in use, making it child and pet safe as well as keeping it warm and ready for you to use day or night, 365 days a year! There are 3 bedrooms and a family bathroom upstairs. The bathroom has a thermostatic shower in addition to a traditional bathtub depending on your needs. The 3 bedrooms all contain double beds. The largest room has an additional single bed, meaning it can be used for small children, treating the room as a Twin room, or (as it is a quality memory foam mattress) has been praised by guests with bad backs. Utility room washing facilities are provided in the garage for wet and sandy pets who need some extra attention. The street has no passing traffic so is a very safe area for children and pets. Amble has a wide range of shops for you, from unique gift shops and boutiques providing local goods, to brand named convenience stores if you have forgotten anything for your trip. The high street is an easy walk away, but parking is free for 1 hour outside the shops if you would prefer. The take aways and restaurants provide an enormous range of options too, from quick and tasty to award winning dining.
Hope Terrace is a tiny cul-de-sac of just 4 houses. It is situated in a quiet and private location near the top of the high street, a short walk from the river to Warkworth or Amble Marina in one direction, Amble shops, quayside and the beaches in the other.

Situated on the banks of the River Coquet, this semi-detached property is part of the historic Brinkburn Estate and was originally of the groom's accommodation and hayloft.
Priory Cottage is part of the historic Brinkburn Estate in Northumberland. It is a semi-detached stone built property, traditional in style but boasts a modern, luxurious interior. It is ideally situated in the heart of Northumberland with easy access to the coast and Castles, Cheviot Hills, Northumberland National Park, and Hadrian's Wall. All our guests also have access to 30 acres of wood land the river and fields. Brinkburn Priory and Manor House are also just on your doorstep. The spacious living area has a dining table and chairs and large comfy sofa. There is a flat screen Smart TV and a library of books. Free SUPERFAST BROADBAND is available. The whole of the ground floor is heated by underfloor heating, enhanced by an efficient wood burning stove for the cooler months, for which an initial supply of logs are provided There is a contemporary style kitchen with electric oven and ceramic hob, larder fridge with icebox, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, espresso coffee machine, toaster and kettle. A highchair is available for an infant upon request. A spacious 'wet room' shower room, comprising a large walk-in shower with ceiling-rose shower head, toilet and wash hand basin is also downstairs. Complimentary toiletries and towels are provided. Upstairs is the former hayloft which makes a delightfully quirky and romantic loft bedroom, with a kingsize bed and chest of drawers. There is a raised platform, perfect for storage of luggage. A wardrobe with hanging space is located in a walk-in cupboard next to the bathroom. A cot can be provided upon request for an infant not yet walking (the stairs of the cottage are not suitable for a toddler). Priory Cottage is located in a secluded wooded ravine, on the bank of the River Coquet. The 12th Century Brinkburn Priory is on your doorstep, as are lots of beautiful walks on the Brinkburn Estate. This is a rural location, 800m from the public road. There is lots of wildlife to enjoy, from kingfishers, otters, and salmon in the river to wonderful night time skies. Longframlington is 5 minutes drive away and boasts an award-winning shop, artisan bakery and coffee shop, a butchers and a pub. Rothbury is 10 minutes away by car, where you will find banks, a Post Office, Doctor’s surgery, pharmacy and vets– as well as lots of shops and pubs. We are also just 10 minutes away from the beautiful National Trust property at Cragside. There are plenty of good restaurants, pubs and coffee shops near-by, but please be aware that you probably need a car to reach them.

Cottage is located on a working farm in Northumberland set in tranquil countryside and overlooking Simonside hills. We have a 100 acre Nature reserve Caistron which attracts various different types of birds and we recently built bird hides where you can sit and watch the birds that frequently visit. The cottage is a self contained bedsit cottage including open plan bedroom, sitting room, kitchen and separate bathroom. The cottage has heating/log burner. Dogs welcome. Private parking.

The cottage is fully insulated(walls, ceiling and floor) and is extremely cosy and warm and ideal on a stormy night with the log burner(logs provided). Overlooking the farm we have Simonside Hills which has a public car park and superb views on a sunny day from the top-you can see the cheviots and the coast. Caistron Nature Reserve is part of the farm and we have bird hides where you can sit and watch the birds/wildlife. Rothbury - local village with a selection of shops Cragside is located nearby (national trust) Walllington Hall is located nearby (national trust) Hadrians Wall is approx 40 mins drive Alnwick Castle/gardens are worth a visit and the famous barter books in Alnwick - 30 mins drive Seahouses is worth a visit to go to the farne Islands - 40 mins drive Woodhorn museum(pit museum) at Ashington is worth a visit to find out about North East mining history - approx 45 mins, Newbigging by the sea is 2 miles from Woodhorn and was regenerated and the maritime visitor centre is a fab place to sit and have a cuppa and watch the sea *We allow dogs - maximum 2*

Linden has double glazing and gas central heating and offers relaxing modern accommodation with a spacious, open plan lounge (with TV &DVD), kitchen, bedroom with king-sized bed and ensuite shower room, twin bedded room & wet room and wc. There is a front terrace with superb open views. Well-behaved dogs welcome (bring dog's bed & towels). No smoking. Your rental includes all bed linen, towels, tea towels, duvets and pillows. The lodge will be fully serviced before and after your visit.
Fram Park does not have wifi but it is freely available in the two village pubs. There is good mobile phone reception at the lodge.
Linden Lodge is an ideal base for exploring the breathtaking Northumberland countryside and coast. Situated on a quiet development of just fourteen high quality lodges, it is north-west of Morpeth and in easy travelling distance of the Northumberland coast, Newcastle and the Scottish border. The lodge is 15 minutes’ walk from the centre of the pretty village of Longframlington with its two pubs (both serving food), the famous Running Fox teashop, a village store and butcher’s shop.

The rustic summerhouse has a double bed, duvet and pillows. Linen provided. There are additional blankets and a hot water bottle. Just outside there is a camping stove, kettle and sink. This is glamping in our productive organic veg garden. The bathroom facilities are a compost loo and outdoor gas shower. The summerhouse has no electricity or internet connection. Perfect for a couple of nights get away, unwind and a bit of chill out time. Village pubs, shop and coffee shop 1 mile away.
Other than the cluck of chickens and the odd moo from our organic cattle there is peace and quiet here on Christmas farm. I work most days in the garden but use hand tools and a squeaky wheel barrow. I won’t disturb your stay. The summerhouse is rustic, old fashioned and comfortable. Fabulous views,easy access to private parking, lots of places to sit in the veg garden. Look out for our sociable cats who are very nosey and love visitors. Organic veg, eggs and meat are available to buy from the farm.
Longframlington is a busy little village with award winning village shop, 2 great pubs, papershop and coffee shop/bakers. The village is only a mile from the farm, so easy walking distance for all these amenities.

Mullins House is a cosy and comfortable home with a wood burning stove, beautiful garden and a private entrance. This luxurious five star-rated property provides the perfect place to escape to and enjoy the peace and quiet. Part of the original home farm for the Manor House at Brinkburn Priory, this stunning cosy property is part of the historic Brinkburn Estate.
Mullins House is part of the historic Brinkburn Estate in Northumberland. It is a semi-detached property, traditional in style but boasts a modern and cosy interior. It is ideally situated in the heart of Northumberland with easy access to the coast and Castles, Cheviot Hills, Northumberland National Park, and Hadrian's Wall. All our guests also have access to 30 acres of wood land the river and fields. Brinkburn Priory and Manor House are also just on your doorstep. The main entrance leads into a spacious yet incredibly cosy lounge, with comfortable sofas and a magnificent wood burning stove (initial supply of wood and kindling provided). There’s a flat screen TV with DVD player and digital channels, books and games. The downstairs is open plan and from the lounge is the kitchen. It is stylish and contemporary, comprehensively equipped with all the usual appliances; electric oven and ceramic hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher, Dolce Gusto coffee machine. There is a dining table which seats 4. Upstairs, there’s a beautifully spacious room with twin beds which can be made up as a super-kingsize bed and ensuite bathroom. From the window is a view looking down the drive towards Brinkburn Priory, woodland and open fields. The second bedroom is a cosy room with a kingsize bed or twins with an ensuite shower roomand a south-facing window overlooking the garden, open fields and woodland.
Mullins House is located in a quiet rural location. The 12th Century Brinkburn Priory is on your doorstep, as are lots of beautiful walks on the Brinkburn Estate along the river Coquet. There is lots of wildlife to enjoy, from kingfishers, otters, and salmon in the river to wonderful night time skies. Longframlington is 5 minutes drive away and boasts an award-winning shop, artisan bakery and coffee shop, a butchers and a pub. Rothbury is 10 minutes away by car, where you will find banks, a Post Office, Doctor’s surgery, pharmacy and vets– as well as lots of shops and pubs. We are also just 10 minutes away from the beautiful National Trust property at Cragside. There are plenty of good restaurants, pubs and coffee shops near-by, but please be aware that you probably need a car to reach them.

Located centrally in Rothbury the accommodation has its own entrance, is completely private and includes twin single beds, en-suite toilet/sink, separate electric shower along with TV, WiFi and tea/coffee making facilities. It is attached to an idyllic cottage in a quiet cul-de-sac bordering along the edge of the Coquet River. Charge per night - 1 guest £32 & 2 guests is £48. One night min stay. Single bookings are not expected to share the room with others.Breakfast is not included or provided.
This accommodation and its listed facilities are completely private with separate entry and no direct access from the main dwelling. There are parking places available directly outside in a small courtyard area that cannot be viewed by passers-by. The house is located on the lane directly to the right of Well Strand on the map below. Single bookings are for the full suite and are not expected to share with other individuals. Late and unknown arrival times are not an issue as there is the facility for self check-in. Cancel up to 24 hours before check in to get a full refund. The space is not large but has been carefully planned to include all the necessary amenities whilst still permitting freedom of movement. Upon entry there is an en-suite toilet/sink situated to the left with a shower cubicle and cupboard on the right hand side of the hallway. The twin bedroom is straight ahead and separated from the rest of the accommodation by a doorway. There are hooks on the back of the doors on which to hang additional items. A full length mirror and hairdryer has recently been added. Breakfast is not included or provided but there are many local cafe's, shops, hotels and restaurants nearby providing a variety of hot and cold food options in addition to a range of independent retailers, which include amongst others a Co-op food store, award winning butchers, crafts, florist, newsagents, clothing and toy shop. An information booklet is provided within the accommodation which contains menu lists for nearby places to eat along with details of local activities. Due to having high drop walls on two sides of the garden this property would not be suitable for young children. Please also note that there is not enough room for a travel cot, the accommodation isn’t childproof and there are several risk factors. The accommodation is not suitable for dogs or any other pets and I am therefore unable to accept such bookings.

A family run B&B on a smallholding in Longframlington. A quiet, relaxing space with beautiful views & good locally sourced breakfasts. Easy access to explore all Northumberland has to offer. A double room with en-suite shower room. We also have other rooms available.
You will have a light East facing room with view over the fields down to the coast. When it is clear, wake up to the sunrise. Guests have their own lounge with videos & Netflix. We are a small holding with minature Mediterranean donkeys, sheep, hens, ducks and much wildlife to enjoy. Walks from outside the door and situated in central Northumberland with easy access to all of the tourist attractions.
Willowdene House is half a mile from the main road down a no through road. We have no immediate neighbours, no street lights so when the sky is clear the stars are amazing. This is a place for wildlife lovers, we have birds galore in the garden. But the village shop, cafe and pubs are just around the corner, mountain biking in Thrunton Wood is a 10 minute car journey, and we are 20 minutes from Morpeth, Rothbury and Alnwick.

Brand new listing based on Percy Wood Country Retreat a peaceful tranquil site. Perfect base for exploring Northumberland’s coast, Warkworth, Alnmouth and many more places. Lovely town of Alnwick and it’s castle and gorgeous Alnwick gardens all a short drive away.
Fairways is in a quite spot at Percy Wood awaiting anyone who would like a peaceful relaxing stay. Living and dining area is open plan very cosy, first bedroom has a double bed with built in wardrobes and jack & jill doors leading to the bathroom with shower. Second bedroom has 2 x single beds and a single wardrobe. The site also has a washing area with two large washing machines and two large dryers all based in a small building on the way into the site. There is outside area with furniture to relax on and chill. Welcome pack consists of fresh bread, milk, eggs, butter, juice and cereals also tea and coffee. There is a driveway for two cars and a tennis court on site along with an 18 hole golf course.
For a relaxing stay Percy Wood is the place as well it being peaceful it is only a drive away from gorgeous coastal towns and lovely Alnwick town. No public transport so a car is necessary.

The accommodation is a basic cabin set in our private back garden, three minutes walk from Alnmouth railway station on the East coast mainline. It's a twenty minute walk or 5 minute drive to our beautiful local beach. You would sleep in the cabin and use the main house for bathroom/toilet and the kitchen for making drinks and snacks. The house is occupied by three of us- we have a lot of knowledge of the local area and we are active in the outdoors and indoors! (Running and circus mainly).

There is a large bathroom, with a shower, tiled area for drying, which has under floor heating, WC and basin, along with plenty of shelves to house your toiletries. For cosy nights, there is a log burner. All bedding, towels etc. are included. There is also a local produce welcome pack. The only thing that is missing is YOU!

Arkle House is a gorgeous holiday retreat for up to four guests and two dogs, set in the thriving harbour town of Amble with an array shops, restaurants and pubs within a short walking distance. Comprising of two bedrooms – a master bedroom with king-size bed and sofa, and a twin room with en-suite – this is perfect for small families or couples holidaying together. The cosy lounge with wood burning stove is the perfect spot to relax.
The sumptuous sofas in the living room are perfect for sitting back on an evening, especially with the wood burning stove on in the colder months. You’ll find a fully-equipped kitchen with table for four, as well as a separate dining area seating up to six just off the lounge. Dogs are allowed, and we can also provide a dog sitting service so you can enjoy an evening meal or day out exploring without worrying about leaving your pet in the cottage. Please contact us for more information on our dog sitting service. There's a shared bathroom with bath and shower, as well as an en-suite off the twin bedroom with shower. You'll find a washer, dryer and storage space in the utility room with access to the back garden for spending time outdoors in the summer. The property also offers a gated driveway and use of the garage if needed for a small car. There is off-street parking directly outside of the cottage. The property is ideally located just a ten-minute walk away from the centre of Amble, with an array of shops, restaurants and pubs. The harbour with shopping pods and tasty seafood eateries are just an extra five minutes’ away on foot – as well as the gorgeous sandy beach and pier. Riverside Cottage sleeps four and is a period self catering holiday property overlooking the River Coquet. Built by the Duke of Northumberland around 1895, it is set in the attractive Village of West Thirston in the heart of rural Northumberland. Sleeping up to four people in comfort and style, Riverside Cottage is the perfect location in the centre of Northumberland for your holiday.
This lovely period Cottage is situated in an idyllic rural village and offers views over the River Coquet, perfect for a relaxing, enjoyable stay. Just yards from the front door is the riverbank, with miles of beautiful riverside walks leading into the stunning countryside. The Cottage is accessed through a state of the art keyless entry system leading into the Entrance Hall. This simple system means you have the freedom to not worry about carrying keys with you during your stay. In the entrance hall you will find a corner storage unit and towels provided for you to dry down your pet, should you wish to bring one with you. The Cottage has full gas central heating and is fully equipped and includes high speed fibre broadband (Wi-Fi). The Entrance Hall leads into the comfortable and stylish Lounge. It has a beautiful traditional cast iron open fireplace with slate hearth with an original oil painting above it. A lovely three piece suite, oak flooring and traditional window shutters. There is a 40" LCD television with built in DVD player and Sky Freeview HD, BluRay Player and a collection of books, games and DVD's. The Dining Room has an original open grate fireplace with bread oven, wood surround and marble hearth. It comfortably seats four people and is complete with a drinks cabinet full of cut crystal glasses and a wine rack. The room benefits from a beamed ceiling and oak flooring, which adds to the character feeling. The Dining Room also has access to the outdoor seating area with BBQ facilities. The attractive modern Kitchen is fitted with a range of white wall and base units with wooden work surfaces. It has integrated appliances including an electric oven with gas hob and extractor hood, microwave, fridge and freezer, washing machine and family sized dishwasher. The kitchen leads to the downstairs cloakroom/WC. Upstairs the Master Bedroom has a lovely wooden double bed with matching bed side tables, a built in storage cupboard with hanging space and chandelier lighting. The room has two windows with traditional panelled shutters and window seats offering beautiful views over the River Coquet and the attractive bridges in West Thirston and Felton. There is also a chest of drawers/dressing table and wall mounted 19" LCD TV with freeview. The Second Bedroom has twin beds and a cast iron open grate fireplace and surround, a built in cupboard offering hanging space and a chest of drawers. Our bed linen is exceptional - the finest 100% Egyptian Cotton, all from the White Company. The modern Bathroom has a panelled bath with hand held mixer shower head plus electric shower over, shower screen, wash hand basin, low level WC, tiled walls and flooring, vanity mirror and heated towel radiator. There is on street parking available at the Cottage for the duration of your stay. There are no parking restrictions on any road or the bridge surrounding the property. There is also an off street parking area opposite the Cottage. Please note that one well behaved dog is welcome to stay at the Cottage.
Riverside Cottage was built around 1895 by the Duke of Northumberland. The area surrounding West Thirston and indeed the whole of Northumberland is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Village of West Thirston is separated from the village of Felton by the River Coquet that runs in front of the Cottage. Spanning the River Coquet are two bridges: Felton old bridge (pictured right) and Felton new bridge. The old bridge has now been pedestrianised and is scheduled as an ancient monument and as a building of architectural and historic interest. There is no definite date for this old bridge, but it or an even older bridge may have existed here since the 13th century. Whatever the date, it is a fine old bridge of three arches, Grade 2 listed, and widened at some time on the upstream side, probably in the 1800s. The new replacement bridge was built in 1926 and although not considered to be as attractive as the old bridge, it is itself a grade II listed construction. Even the telephone box next to the old bridge is grade II listed! Just over the bridge from Riverside Cottage is The Running Fox, a small, chic establishment nestled by the River Coquet. As well as offering it's own uniquely crafted cafe menu there is a new bakery on-site which serves a wide range of artisan breads, signature pies, traditional cakes and scones. The Running Fox is licensed to sell newspapers and also stock a small range of locally sourced produce and gifts from the surrounding Villages. Also within short walking distance of the Cottage are The Northumberland Arms which has undergone a stunning renovation and is already one of the top places to eat in Northumberland!

Perfect turnkey pad, for those wishing for an easy holiday close to lots of amenities and great sights. Lovely eating places in Amble and of course a stones throw from beautiful beaches. Amble is a 5 minute drive, Warkworth 10, Alnwick 25 and Morpeth 20.

Bumblebee Cottage has a 4*Gold rating awarded by Visit England. There is an open plan living, kitchen and dining area downstairs, and two comfortable bedrooms with quality bed linen and towels as well as a shower room with WC upstairs. The master bedroom has a king size bed and the twin room has two single beds convertible to a super king bed on request. A woodburning stove, Superfast Broadband, a smart TV with Netflix and a Tassimo pod coffee machine all help to make your stay more comfortable. There is a handy entrance lobby with a washer/drier and freezer, making a convenient place to dry muddy boots or wet dogs. A private garden with a table and chairs, and open views across the fields, is a wonderful place to relax in the sun with a glass of wine. A small kettle barbeque is available on request and there's secure bike storage if you need it. There are two dedicated parking spaces on the gravel driveway opposite the front door. Heather View is a beautiful character Cottage in the centre of the Village of Rothbury, Northumberland. Located just a few seconds walk from the Village centre off a side street, Heather View is the ideal base from which to explore the area. Comfortably sleeping up to four people, Heather View is pet friendly and all the Villages pubs, cafes and shops are within very easy walking distance.
Heather View has the added bonus of being dual aspect in every room in the house, so that means there's plenty of natural light and a feeling of space. The Living Room has comfy sofas, a log burning stove, LCD TV with sky and a DVD player. Both bedrooms are upstairs, the master offers a roll top bath in the room! The Cottage is pet friendly and we are happy to allow one well behaved dog. There is on street parking opposite the Cottage available during your stay. High chair an travel cot can be provided on request, please make sure to mention this when booking so that I can have them ready for you during your stay.
Rothbury is a fantastic Village on the edge of the Northumberland National Park. There are plenty of pubs, cafes, shops and galleries all within easy walking distance. Jump in the car and you can be in the National Park, the coast or one of Northumberland's fantastic castles in no time!

We love holidays here with our family, and we know you will. You are Only minutes’ walk from the town centre in the friendly seaside town of Amble , nationally known as “The friendliest port” Our recently refurbished home is perfect for a relaxing break in Northumberland. The working harbour has a popular sunday market with fish and chip shops and a superb ice cream shop spurreli.com a ‘must do’ stop off whilst heading to the harbour. The boathouse seafood restaurant should not be missed!
A very clean and airy house with a lovely hand made kitchen table with quality friends and family time at the heart of its design. Recently refurbished from top to bottom, this perfectly located house is minutes walk to the pub (wellwood arms is our favourite), and all the amenities on Amble Main Street , from Tesco to local butchers , bakers , fresh seafood selling the best Northumbeland has to offer. Great kids park and skate park with football courts a 2 min walk will keep kids of all ages young and old .

A private flat set in the heart of the picturesque village of Rothbury. Ideal if you're looking for a private hideaway that's only 100m from the local pubs, shops and cafes. This flat is a part of a brand new property that we built from scratch in 2019. It was a 3 year build that has been a labour of love but something we're very proud of. We're really happy to host anyone that's looking to come to our lovely village of Rothbury and get to know the area. Hope to see you soon :)
Please note: We've done everything to a very high standard but have still got a little work to complete building a garden wall (there may be builders onsite but are very friendly and shouldn't make much noise). Also the drive is yet to be tarmaced and is a little rough around the edges (we've knocked the prices down to make up for it). Aside from this everything else internally is fully finished and done to a standard that we're very pleased with.
Rothbury is a beautifully quaint little village in rural Northumberland. It's ideal for those that love cycling or walking...but it's also perfect if you just want a romantic get away that's only 100m from the shops, pubs and cafes.
