Trisha gave us a warm and friendly welcome with a cuppa and chat on arrival and she ensured we had everything we needed to settle in and info on local places of interest. Spacious and comfortable room at the top of an interesting period house, which is close to the lovely, community-orientated town centre of Leek and opposite great local pub, The Blue Mugge. In addition, we enjoyed a very friendly welcome from Tricia's gorgeous cat, Crusoe. We would certainly stay again. Thank you for your hospitality :)

Really enjoyed my stay in Trish's home. She was very welcoming and made me feel at home. Was a lovely room with a comfortable bed and pretty much all that you need. Great location with a 5/10 minute walk to most restaurants and pubs and a short car journey into Peak District. Comes highly recommended!

Patricia was very flexible and accommodating. We had a great night sleep, the bed was very comfy. Would recommend The Cock Inn for a drink, just a 5 minute walk away and we had a great time walking up the roaches. The shower wasn't great so we chose to have a bath instead but overall it was a great stay. Thank you

A lovely place. Very clean & comfortable. Only thing to mention is to make sure the shower temperature is set properly. Suggest you to check the temperature at the boiler prior to your shower.

A lovely home from home, with everything you need in the kitchen, a well equipped dining room, great bathroom, four poster bed in the bedroom, and another floor above should you need it! Effortless communication and a very competitive price makes this little home a superb option if visiting and hiking in the area. Easy access parking and great pubs nearby complete a very enjoyable stay.

Michelle's house is very close to the centre of Leek, about a one minute walk! A really good location to explore the Peak District, Leek is right on the doorstep. The house is on a quiet street, we slept really well each night. The house has everything for a comfortable stay! Michelle was very good to reply promptly with us and organised our stay really well even thought she was't there. A very good choice for Leek and the Peak District!

Michelle's place was lovely and as described, and her instructions for us were very clear so we had no problems getting in the house although we did not get to meet her personally.

Central location and the instructions were clear enough to help us access the house (via back gate). Host was away so we were given access to keys, let ourselves in and handed over to the next guests on the following day. Place was clean and comfortable.

Barn was as expected, cheap and cheerful, for what it was I felt the price was high, but overall okay! I think the shower room was bad because there was no heating and was freezing when using it in the mornings

Allison était incroyablement serviable et accueillant, elle a fourni des cartes, un guide pour la région et ses nombreuses promenades différentes et des conseils sur les attractions locales. Alors que le week-end a été fait de mieux en ayant la Grange pour nous tous seuls, nous sommes sûrs que ce serait une façon amusante de rencontrer de nouvelles personnes dans le cas de plusieurs parties. Nous recommandons les granges de camping et nous viennent sûrement à nouveau!

Alison made us really welcome and the whole experience was a perfect way to celebrate a special birthday. We loved it all,from sitting outside toasting marshmallows on the fire, the beautiful views not forgetting the compost toilet!

A group of 7 of us stayed here for 3 nights for a trip to Alton Towers. The house itself is fantastic - the rooms are all of a good size and there is an abundance of communal space to use when staying as a group! (Living room, dining room, breakfast room, study and an extra room at the entrance .) The house has a lot of character, and the rooms are well furnished & clean. As there were 7 of us we did use the sofa bed and floor mattress in the third bedroom, but I was told both were comfortable. The location is also great, whilst on a main road it wasn't too noisy and there are loads of local facilities within walking distance (the town centre high street is right around the corner, large Waitrose just up the road). The Indian takeaway opposite do a good curry, and one of the local pubs - The Cock Inn - do fantastic meals. Hands down the best pasta I've ever been served in a pub! Being on a main road does mean you have to park on one of the nearby side-streets however, but we never had much of a problem finding a space close by. Our hosts were really friendly and helpful throughout, although we never actually had the pleasure of meeting them. The arrangements for collecting the keys were simple and meant we didn't have to worry about our arrival / departure times. Clear information about the house and local area was also left for us in house for when we arrived. There was also a good collection of DVDs and access to Netflix so you don't need to worry about getting bored in the evenings! All in all, I would definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for a roomy and comfortable base from which to explore the area or visit Alton Towers.

Fantastic stay in a beautiful, quirky house. The house and kitchen were fully equipped. Oliver and Veronique were incredible, friendly hosts who couldn't do enough to make sure that our stay was perfect. The house is situated a stones throw from leek town centre and there are many beautiful walks close by. If you are looking for a weekend away I would highly reccomend this place.

This house is well equipped, immaculate and comfortable. Plenty of bedding and towels provided, along with a welcome package of food (bread, milk, juice, tea coffee, etc) which is extremely helpful after a long journey. The grounds are lovely. My girls enjoyed playing outside and feeding the horses. The area itself is nice and quiet. There's a few pubs a short walk and more a short drive away. Nearest supermarket is just a few minutes in the car. If you have a car then getting about is not an issue. This was a fab base for us when visiting family in Stoke. Phil and Lynn were excellent hosts. Nothing was too much trouble! Thanks again. We would definitely return!

Great place, quiet but easy drive to anywhere, 5min walk to local pub, great walks nearby and Peak District only 10mins away.

Lovely house and hosts. Clean and comfortable with lots of little extras to make you feel at home and help you find your way around. We stayed here to go to Alton towers as it's only a 30 min drive away. Would definitely stay again.

Lynn's place was perfect for us. It was a sad occasion going to a friend's funeral but having this space to retreat to before and after was just what we needed. The place is immaculate and extremely well kitted out. We had everything we needed and Lynn was a great host with just the right amount of contact and availability. It's just off the main road so easy access to local places but the rear of the property is very rural and has amazing views across fields offering the best of both worlds. I would highly recommend Lynn's place.

Our stay at peak rise was really comfy and we had everything we needed. There was a lovely welcome pack with essentials which was a great addition to the stay. The photos don't do the house justice, the rooms are spacious and spotless. I would highly recommended the house and the area was beautiful.

Great stay once again

The apartment was very clean and as advertised and the self-check in was really straight forward. I was concerned about noise having read the reviews and to an extent there was some noise. The flat is above a Co-op and has a car park to the side. On a Saturday night quite a few teenagers would come to the Co-op with loud music in their cars and shout to each which was annoying when watching telly but stopped by the time we went to sleep at 11. The church bells did ring in the morning but I think after 8 and were quite charming really. We all felt we had slept really well though and the beds were super comfy! On the whole the flat was perfect for our needs and a great location for Alton Towers. We got really great Chinese takeaway from the local too! :) Worked well for 4 chilled young ladies. Would recommend.

We would highly recommend a stay at this very modern, ultra clean and comfortable Apartment. For us it felt like home from home and we'll definitely be back for another stay. My daughters loved the open space, especially my toddler who loved running up and down the long hallway!!

Really nice farm barn in a beautiful location and surpassed my expectations. The host responded to all our needs.

Alison has prepared everything in a way that was ready for us to use when we first entered the Barn (we stayed at the Top Barn, but I would assume the same goes for the Bottom one) - there was enough in the power meter to get us through the night, if by chance we didn't bring any coins with us.

Such a lovely place, was so lovely to arrive and have everything ready for us, the facilities were great and we had a lovely time. The surroundings are really beautiful too. We will be visiting again.

Wanted a place to get closer to the Peak Disctrict from Oxfordshire and with a family of six even a Travelodge is pricey due to needing two rooms. Always wanted to try a camping barn and had great fun playing games, reading, making hot chocolate, etc. Really just used as a place to sleep, so can't say much about the immediate area. As it was winter, we ended up six pounds in electricity trying to keep warm with the little space heater - which, when combined with all of us bringing our duvets made it a nice sleep. Had everything one would need for cooking.

Fantastic cottage and host !! The cottage is has everything you might need and is very cosy and comfortable. We where 5 staying and no problems. Olivia was very friendly and nice and gets our highest recommendation.

Das war ein wunderbarer Aufenthalt in Olivias Eigentum. Wir haben Field House Cottage sehr schön gefunden und so gut organisiert. Die Umgebung des Cottage ist einfach hervorragend. We had a great time here. The accommodation was immaculate, clearly recently renovated to a high standard. We were welcomed with a pack of oatcakes, a local speciality, a half dozen eggs from their chickens and some milk in the fridge. The amenities were great -- the kitchen was well equipped and there were lots of games, books and dvd's. We would highly recommend it!
