Leonie made me very welcome in her home. The room was nice and large with table to work at. Good kitchen facilities and good shower. Very quiet and peaceful location.

We ran into a few humps along the way, and I think the listing should be tweaked to reflect (more of the) reality; but overal: Leonie is a wonderful host. Location is superbly in the middle of excactly no-where. And no-where is excactly where we wanted to be. And still train station, supermarket, pubs and petrol are just around 2 corners. If you don't mind a sofa-bed to sleep on: this is where you should stay.

Really enjoyed my stay with Leonie and family. Felt very welcomed. Had a cup of tea made for me on arrival both days which was nice. A good size room with a comfy bed and table and chairs also. Cottage was a little hard to find but in a lovely location. It was great to have wifi and breakfast the next day, especially liked the home made jam! Good bathroom facilities. Felt very at ease, could keep to myself or join the family if I wished. Overall a very enjoyable stay and made my trip relaxing. Would stay again. Many thanks.

A wonderful four nights at Leonie's house. It is located in a very tranquil location. The bedroom is large, kitchen facilities very good and nice powerful shower in the bathroom. This was my second visit, and once again I was made to feel very welcome by Leonie's family.

This is an ordinary downstairs room in an ordinary family home with ordinary, really nice people in it. Nothing flash, but a stunning setting and only 10 minute walk from Haslemere town centre (down quite a steep hill). Just lovley and what I wanted and needed. Leonie and partner are nice welcoming friendly people. Glad I stayed there.

Julian and Mary made us feel very welcome when we arrived, and left out home-made cake to have with a cup of tea. The Annex to the cottage is spacious and very well looked after. The breakfast in the morning was ample with free range eggs and home-made bread The area where they live is very quiet and picturesque

We had a lovely weekend at Mere Cottage. The setting is beautiful and peaceful; the annexe where we stayed is very spacious and comfortable; and Mary and Julian were very welcoming and generous hosts. The kitchen was stocked with fruits, yoghurt and cooking ingredients, and the breakfast was superb! The whole cottage is very family friendly, and our two year old girl Ananda loved exploring the gardens, and playing with the toys and puzzles that were available. We would return with pleasure. Another fabulous weekend.

Perfect stay with Julian and Mary. Julian was nice enough to drive us to our business event, and is a very interesting gentleman. The house has very scenic environs making for great photo taking while being a short 10 minute drive to 2 towns. The space itself is very spacious and extremely well-equipped. A lovely living room, good-sized master bedroom and smaller but very convenient 2nd bedroom. The highlight for me was the fully stocked kitchen, all the way down to fresh eggs, cereals, juice, and fruit. Really great stay and would hope to make it back if our travels ever take us SW of London.

Our two children (three and five) immediately felt at ease at Church Cottage, and our son said on a couple of occasions - completely unprompted - "I really like it here." The location of Church Cottage and it's aspect are both truly special - there are cows & horses on the horizon, as well as pheasants strutting about the garden (and which has a large inset trampoline that our children really liked) Church Cottage is very well set up to cater for anyone requiring step free shower access at ground floor level, and it also has a double bed on the ground floor too. We all really enjoyed our time here, spending it in Chichester, by the sea and walking in the woods. A very nice local pub is a very short drive away, and whether it's more rural, coastal or town pursuits you're after, they are all on offer here. Thank you to the host Roz for sharing her lovely home.

Our second time staying and it was as amazing as the first. Debbie is a wonderful host and the house and garden are wonderful. Even our dog was very excited to be back running around the huge garden. Walks and great pub food are both very close.

We had a fantastic stay at The Old Bakehouse. The house is superbly equipped, very comfortable and with a fabulous garden (and trampoline). The photos do not do it justice! Debbie and family were wonderful hosts. Information on the house and surrounding area were informative and readily available, plus provision of some basic supplies was thoughtful. House was roomy, with plenty of space for socialising. Garden is fantastic with plenty of room for children and adults. Cricket net and mini football goals were a welcome surprise. Plenty of idyllic sports in the vicinity for walks, days out and food & drink. Wholeheartedly recommended

Debbie was a great host. She checked in with me to see whether all was ok and made sure we had all the relavent information to make sure we had a great stay. The bakehouse has lovely views and the kids enjoyed playing on the trampoline. The beds were really comfy and the house had everything we needed. The area is really beautiful and we loved the noah's ark pub for lunch. There are some great walks which can be done nearby too.

The best holiday ever and highly recommend this gorgeous cottage with fantastic garden which our dog enjoyed for hours. Great pubs and walks nearby and Debbie was wonderful to deal with and very very helpful. Gets 100% from me!

Lorna was an extremely kind and lovely host who made us very welcome, I was travelling with my sister and husband to a family wedding, she helped us find a local taxi to pick us up after the wedding and even gave my husband a lift to pick up our car from the church the next day. Her house is lovely, the beds very comfortable and we enjoyed our relaxed breakfasts. The experience couldn't have been better, thank you Lorna.

Both the house and garden are beautiful. Quiet and private. Easy parking, close to a supermarket and close enough to Haslemere station. Just 56 mins to Waterloo.

We absolutely loved our stay in this beautiful place. Mark and Urska provided all the information we could ever need before our arrival including suggesting delicious local pubs and shops, and the house was incredible. Really felt like home, spotlessly clean, comfy beds and incredible views with stunning walks right on the doorstep. We wish we didn't have to leave! Can't recommend it highly enough.

We had a fantastic stay at the cottage. Mark and Urksta made us feel incredibly welcome as soon as we arrived. The cottage is set within beautiful woodland and is so peaceful - our two small children loved exploring in the woods, visiting the chickens each morning and playing on the trampoline. It was a world away from North London! The cottage is really well kitted out and our hosts helpfully provided a travel cot and high chair for our 10 month old. It was such a pleasure to spend a few days at the cottage, we really didn't want to leave!

Really beautiful and peaceful little cottage/retreat. Our family of 4 (including 2 young kids) loved every minute and despite the awful weather we still managed a couple of beautiful walks in the woodlands surrounding the house. The kitchen is very well stocked and Mark and Urska are absolutely lovely people that were incredibly welcoming - even letting us take the eggs from the chickens! The 2 other parts of the house were occupied when we were there but we hardly heard or saw anyone so you still feel nicely isolated. Thanks again!

This was one of the most beautiful and unique places we've ever stayed! Everything has been carefully and lovingly designed (it definitely lives up to the photos!), with gorgeous aesthetics and all the comforts of home (and more). It was the perfect size for our family of 4. The beds were super comfy, the bathroom was absolutely luxurious and the kitchen had everything we needed. Mark and Urska were so kind and welcoming - and always more than happy to help with any questions about the house and the surrounding area. Hope to be back soon!

A gorgeous and we'll equipped house. An amazing spot, very peaceful as surrounded by woods. Hardly any traffic in the country lanes around there. Mark and Urska were really friendly and helpful. Pretty walks at Stedham and Iping common. Good cafe and farm shop at Cowdray. Plenty of shops and cafes at Midhurst.

Mark and Urska were great hosts. A few days before we arrived they sent us a very helpful list of supermarkets and recommended pubs in the area, and Mark was waiting for us in the driveway when we arrived on the day. He gave us a detailed tour of the house and a few more pub recommendations, and then he left us to enjoy the gorgeous house and its very peaceful surroundings. The house is decorated beautifully, and everything was there that we could have wanted. Outside, the tire swing in the garden was a huge hit with our children. There was plenty to explore around the house (footpaths, pond, chickens and deer), but we also headed out each day to enjoy Petworth, Woolbeding and some pubs. The house is on an unpaved path which didn't bother us--rather it added to the feeling of getting away from it all--but it might be useful to know just in case you plan on driving a pristine sports car there! We had a great time in this beautiful part of the world and would recommend it to anyone wishing to get away.

Woodland Idyll is the right name for this amazing place. Idyllic it is. A beautiful house, oozing with character and home comforts, a stunning location truly off the beaten track, a generous, welcoming and interesting host in Mark, a swing or two, a trampoline, gorgeous dogs to go tramping in the woods with, the list goes on. We will definitely return.

They were friendly and seemed not to mind when the curry turned up in the evening and the groom and best man in the morning, having to disturb them by ringing the buzzer! It made our family stay for the wedding into a very special weekend building special memories and shared times

We've spent two days in this lovely Cottage. Everything was perfect and made us feel home. The cottage sits near the main house of a very well kept land. Sue and Simon who are the owner were super nice and delivered an attentive service. (They even saved us from a british rainy day with their umbrellas :) ). So I would recommand this place to anyone who wants to enjoy this beautiful british countryside.

We had a wonderful stay with Frances. She has a beautiful and stylish home with every comfort catered for. We were served tea and cake in her lovely garden on arrival which was most welcome. My husband and I stayed at Frances'place for a wedding nearby. The house was lovely and clean and Frances' was the perfect host and was very helpful upon our arrival. All spaces guests can access were reasonably separated from other rooms so we could keep privacy, but also it was easy to communicate with the host Frances when we needed. Actuary her hospitality was great. She usually asked or offered what we needed before we asked. We decided to stay at the listing because reviews about breakfast was amazing. It was very nice with variety of choice. I appreciate my friend had the first English breakfast experience here. Convenient area for visiting around. All in one, I highly recommend. Frances communicated with us before the visit so she was able to be there in person when we arrived. We were shown the room and invited for a lovely afternoon tea with scones, jam and cream. We had enjoyable chats while there and rpthe atmosphere was very friendly.

Our stay in Frances's place was quite short but really nice. There is not a single thing that i can mention here needs improvement. Everything was just great...lovely comfortable room...clean bathroom..comfy bed... delicious breakfast. we felt relaxed and welcomed and really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended.

Lisa hosted our visiting guest really well. He was really happy to have his own living room to use too as well as his own way in and out. And great country location!

We absolutely enjoyed our stay in Lisa's lovely cottage which is located in a very green and peaceful area. Lisa and her son were quite welcoming and made us feel like home. Really nice gastropubs are only 15-20 minutes drive away for dinner. We also enjoyed Lisa's pancakes with fresh coffee. There also are incredibly cute and playful a dog and a cat, which was the cherry on top!

We had a wonderful stay in Lodsworth, Sonja and her family were so lovely and welcoming. Four of us stayed here and we all completely loved the house, it's so beautiful and the rooms are just perfect too. My wife and I had a fantastic experience at this home. The host has a superb attention to detail and the house has a great balance between design, simplicity and quality. It is more modern / contemporary style than a traditional B&B in the countryside and has the feeling of a luxury hotel room with nice furnishings and fixtures. The host has a lovely family and the setting is idyllic. The room and neighborhood are quiet and the host's recommendations for dining options at local pubs were great. The host was well prepared with communication in advance as well as clear directions and recommendations. We also opted for the hot breakfast each morning which is prepared fresh by the host. Overall a very relaxing and comfortable stay.

Sonja and her family were the perfect hosts as soon as we arrived.Made us feel very comfortable in their home. The room and everything else exceeded our expectations, i actually have no bad things to say about anything,not even close! If you go and stay here,you will know what i mean!!! Stonehurst is a beautiful home and everything about our stay was perfect. Sonja and her family were so welcoming and helpful. Their home has a laid back luxurious feel... helped, no doubt, by the glorious sunshine as we ate breakfast on the balcony overlooking the South Downs.

It has everything you need for basic cooking, and Mari kindly provided a delicious breakfast pack for us. Mari is friendly and welcoming, easy to contact and provided brilliant tips for the area. Perfect for a relaxing long weekend away. Would definitely stay here again.

Mari and Rob’s little place is absolutely gorgeous. Comfortable, clean and well equipped. The wood burner and stocked up wood pile made evenings very cosy, to the point I really didn’t want go out! You just can’t help but relax! We were greeted by amazing variety of quality breakfast bits including organic milk and cheese. The directions given were very easy to follow and the restaurant recommendations spot on. Mari, thank you so much, all the little touches made our weekend very special! You are both amazing hosts!

We're back from Mari's feeling refreshed after what can only be described as a five-star experience in a self-catering cottage! The house was very clean, well styled and had everything we needed - plus a few cosy extras like cake, glossy books and a log-burning stove. Our hosts, Mari and Rob, were very kind and accommodating, especially when it came to providing some delicious extras for our dietary requirements, and were happy to advise on tasty places to eat out, and country walks etc. The location, just on the edge of Midhurst and the Cowdray Estate, was spot on for feeling like we were both near enough to be part of the bustle of Midhurst, as well as lovely, peaceful country walks - all within walking distance from the cottage. We just loved being able to spend simple time together in a lovely spacious home from home. It's a fantastic spot in a beautiful part of the country and we hope to return.

The cottage was great and Mari was welcoming and friendly. The cottage was clean, warm, and beautifully furnished with everything you need and in the advert. The food parcel provided by Mari was plentiful and delicious. We would highly recommend the host and cottage, and will indeed do so to friends and family.

Rebecca's place is very convenient for exploring the South Downs. Room was lovely and very homely, we felt very welcome in the house, communication was excellent and Rebecca was very flexible and easy going. Would highly recommend to anyone!

The neighbourhood was "busy" and "cosy". The welcome was fine, and we wish Molly well for getting the money together for her trip abroad. The communication was perfectly adequate, on the whole, and the house was very clean and full of interesting original features. The only issue was washing when the plugs played up. This is central to visitor comfort so really should be sorted immediately (if it hasn't been already).

We had the most relaxing break at this perfect cottage, enjoying cosy nights in front of the fire following great meals in local pubs.

Jane's cottage was the perfect base for exploring the South Downs on foot and by car. We felt at home as soon as we arrived. Easebourne is a lovely little village, with various sites of interest within walking distance. We used Jane's well equipped kitchen to make delicious breakfasts and dinners with food bought from the local farm shop (there is also a handy convenience store for other things). The sunny back garden was perfect for having a coffee in the morning - made using the cool coffee machine!

After a warm welcome from Jane and her daughter Grace, we had a wonderful three days stay at Janes cottage, at a lovely spot in Easebourne. Even with the four of us (2 adults, and 2 teenaged daughters), it was a pleasant and homely stay. We were lucky to catch the first sunny and warm week, so have had breakfast everyday outside (even that tiny spot was decorated and kept so lovely). It' s a very complete, comfortable and well kept lovely cottage

This charming little cottage was just as advertised. Jane was very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. The cottage was characterful, very clean and tastefully decorated. There were even lovely comforting touches such as croissants and brownies left for us! The neighbourhood was peaceful with a local pub and village shop. It is possible to walk to nearby Petworth across the beautiful countryside and we spent a lovely day doing so. We can recommend The Horseguard's pub close to the entrance of Petworth Park. On our second day we drove to Jane Austen's house - which was only half an hour by car. We would happily stay here again and would recommend it to anyone.
