A luxury one-bedroom holiday apartment, situated one minute's walk from both Alnwick town centre and the Alnwick Garden; recently refurbished to an exemplary standard with a mix of rustic charm and all mod cons. This apartment will suit a couple, and provision can be made for an infant; unfortunately we cannot accommodate pets.
This early nineteenth century property was once a Victorian school house, but has been a residence for over a hundred years. In 2015 the property was purchased by its current owner, and no expense has been spared on renovating this beautiful and elegant apartment. The large arched windows have been double-glazed with heritage glass, and the gas-fired central heating system is brand new. Even so, there is a beautiful log-burning stove in the living room fireplace - with fuel provided - so the apartment is truly a cosy space even with its modern, light and airy open-plan aesthetic. Other features include a wet-room with both rainfall shower and handheld showerheads ( the plumbing has also been completely refitted in 2017) as well as underfloor heating; a washing machine and sensor dryer; a fully modern kitchen with a brand new dual fuel cooker, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster, microwave and dishwasher; a 32” television with Freeview and DVD player; free wifi access; iron and ironing board; inside storage for up to two bicycles; and an outdoor area shared with a second holiday apartment. There is a large breakfast bar (that will also function as a perfect workspace if required), along with a bespoke drop-leaf oak table that is left open in the living room area for evening dining, but can fold away if extra space is preferred. Bedding, towels, a hairdryer, soaps, complimentary shower gel, shampoo and conditioner are all provided. Coffee, tea, sugar and milk will be present upon arrival.
Hotspur Hill House is situated on a quiet side street of Alnwick, a picturesque medieval market town and the county town of Northumberland. The centre of town is only a two minute walk away, as is the famous Alnwick Garden (situated within the grounds of Alnwick Castle). The Tanners Arms - an award-winning real ale pub and staple of The Good Beer Guide - can be found at the bottom of the street. The coast and nearest beach is at Alnmouth, two miles to the East. Alnwick itself is in the heart of Northumberland: a great base from which to explore our fair county, and easily accessible as it is directly adjacent to the A1.

Cedar Cabin Bed & Breakfast is a fully insulated and heated Swedish log cabin, with fantastic coastal views, private parking and easy access to the A1. We are 15 minutes drive away from Alnwick Castle & Gardens, Dunstanburgh Castle, the Farne Islands, Bamburgh Castle and beautiful beaches. We provide a full breakfast menu and can cater for varying dietary requirements. There is a well stocked courtesy tray, DVD player and small fridge. Evening meals can be provided. Please ask when booking.
The cabin is a unique space where you can be private, relax and unwind and there is also a guest/breakfast room available for guests in the main cottage with a television, plates, cutlery, glasses etc if you wish to eat in. We are in a central position to explore Northumberland and The Borders and close to many local attractions. There is a BBQ available and summerhouse for the warmer months. Come and explore North Northumberland.
We are in a small hamlet of six cottages. Cedar Cabin, Broomsyde is the last property up the hill and has the best view of the North Northumberland coast. It is very quiet, lots of bird and wildlife and is great for stargazing on a clear night.

A charming, stone-built semi-detached cottage in the peaceful and idyllic rural Northumberland village of Chillingham. Cosy, comfortable accommodation with a home from home feel, two log burning stoves and beautiful panoramic views of the Cheviot Hills. Situated between market towns Alnwick (14 miles) and Berwick-upon-Tweed (20 Miles) with easy access to the fantastic heritage coastline. This is the perfect destination to enjoy walks in the Cheviots or even just a quiet and relaxing break away.
The house has a very cosy feel and the furnishing's, bed sheets and towels are all high quality. We appreciate guests that take good care of the property as it has such a strong home from home feel. The cottage has two generous double bedrooms, one large twin bedroom and one newly renovated bathroom on the first floor. On the ground floor, there is a newly renovated fully equipped shower room, a dining room with a log burner, a cosy sitting room with a log burner and a well equipped kitchen with a newly installed oven, Nespresso coffee machine, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and freezer. The cottage has an outdoor area with beautiful panoramic views of the Cheviot Hills. The BBQ, outdoor furniture and a patio heater provides the ideal spot to relax at the end of a long day exploring. There is private parking directly in front of the cottage for one car and further parking availability on the road in front of the cottage for further vehicles. Complimentary WiFi, DVD Player and Apple TV all included.
Sitting on the edge of the Northumberland National Park, the cottage is part of a small hamlet of cottages which are a mile away from Chatton, which is home to The Percy Arms, a country pub serving delicious meals using locally sourced produce open 7 days a week. The cottage well placed for all who love walking or cycling and is also situated on the well known Wooler Wheel cycle track. It is also surrounded by numerous forest walks. The Heritage Coast is just ten miles to the east with its sandy beaches and many castles, including Holy Island, Bamburgh, Dunstanburgh, Alnwick and Warkworth, plus Alnwick Gardens is a very popular attraction. Just ten miles west the Cheviot Hills can be clearly seen in the distance, a must for avid walkers and cyclists. Amenities close by; Chatton Post Office (2 miles away) is open 7 days a week for Newspapers, bread and milk. The neighbouring local towns of Belford and Wooler offer a wider range of shops to purchase fresh produce e.g. Co-op, Butchers etc. The closest market towns are Alnwick and Berwick-upon-Tweed where you will find larger supermarkets, local butchers etc. as well as high street shops.

Edna's House offers a decent size double room ideal for a couple or single. You're welcome to bring and make your own breakfast. Tiny and remote, Chathill is neatly placed half way between Alnwick and the coast. It has a nearby train station with links to Newcastle for a day's shopping. It is also close to local wedding venues at Ellingham, Newton and Doxford. There is no TV in the house and limited wifi, so staying could be your ideal digital detox. I look forward to welcoming you.
Edna's House is a semi-detached cottage with a small garden. The house also has a little kitchen, sun porch and living room with open fire. You are welcome to make use of the house alongside me. I have an odd work schedule so I'll let you know when I'm going to be around.
Chathill is a lovely quiet village. The neighbours are friendly but not intrusive.

The Bothy is a delightful 19th century listed barn on an old farm. The room is light and airy with stunning views over the Northumberland countryside, between the Cheviots and the Northumberland coast. There is a large garden for visitors use, and dark skies above us. We are an eco friendly family, and the Bothy comes with a composting toilet in a separate wooden shed, and a spring fed water supply just outside the door. Think of it as cosy camping in a stone tent.
All bedding , towels and toilet paper are provided, as well as logs for the fire and woodburner There are electricity sockets for recharging phones and electric kettles. Well behaved dogs are welcome. There are wash bowls and jugs provided. There are tea and coffee making facilities with a cafetiere and teapot.
The area is ideal for skywatchers and nature lovers, there are wide, open, dark skies and we have red squirrels, barn owls, bats, deer, buzzards and kites close by. There is an excellent gastro pub 2 miles away in the village, and delightful shops in Wooler 3 miles away. We are close to Chillingham, Bamburgh and Alnwick castles, and also to Lindisfarne and the Farne Islands. The Cheviots provide a wealth of walks, and we are just off St Cuthberts Way and The Sandstone Way cycle route, so it's an ideal overnight stop.

Visit England Gold Award cottage. The Byre at Bog Mill, Alnwick is situated down a quarter mile private track and overlooks the River Aln, on the outskirts of Alnwick and three miles from beach. A spacious self contained cottage for two with double bedroom. Open plan living area with feature arched windows overlooking the garden. Safe parking is adjacent to the cottage and secure storage for bicycles is available. WiFi is free of charge within the cottage. No smoking. No pets.
The Byre is recently refurbished self catering cottage. It is one of 3 cottages converted from the former farm buildings of Bog Mill, which is no longer a working farm. I have tried hard to create a space for relaxation and comfort yet fully equipped for all your self catering needs. If possible for weekly bookings a Friday arrival and departure day is preferred.
The Byre is located within beautiful countryside and overlooking the River Aln yet right on the edge of Alnwick town. Alnwick is interesting and historic with the Alnwick Castle at it's heart. Alnwick gardens created by the Duchess is well worth a visit as is the world famous Barter Books- the perfect warm and cosy retreat all year round. Just a few more minutes drive will take you to some breathtaking beaches and castles galore. A trip further inland will reward you with majestic hills and countryside enough to let you walk for miles probably without seeing another soul if that's what you choose.

Our first floor apartment has been recently refurbished. It is a deceptively large property in the centre of town above a sports shop, with large double glazed windows over looking the town, ideal for people watching! Both bedrooms are at the rear of the property, both with double glazed windows. The Apartment benefits from being within easy walking distance to all of the towns attractions including Alnwick Castle, The Alnwick Garden and Barter Books to name just a few.
The apartment is in the centre of town with only a 10 minute walk to Alnwick Castle and The Alnwick Garden. Restaurants and bars are a stones throw away. There is an awarding butchers next door selling fresh meats, ready made meals, pies and sandwiches and a bakers to the other side selling delicious cakes, meals and bread. If an Indian meal is your thing there’s one directly over the road.A drive out to the coast will take 10 minutes as will a trip out over the moors and into the Cheviot hills. It’s the perfect place to stay!

Gardener's Cottage is a walker's haven in Northumberland National Park. There is a vast amount to explore from the cottage itself and the peaceful setting is the perfect place to escape modern life and be close to the natural world. The cottage is located in a secluded location just outside of Wooler, in the beautiful Cheviot Hills.
The rustic, timber cottage has a wood burning stove with plenty of logs for warmth and is an ideal place to stay for those seeking an escape from the trappings of modern life. There is no WIFI and electricity is provided by cards, which are included.
The location of Gardener's Cottage is in the grounds of Yearle House, and guests are free to explore the gardens. There are many walks to enjoy from the property, wildlife in abundance, and Wooler is just a mile and a half away for everything that you need. Further afield, there are many beaches and castles to explore.

***We are monitoring the Covid-19 situation and hope to open more dates soon*** Stay in a 20m2 geodesic dome in a secluded location in rural Northumberland. With a wood fired hot tub, fire pit, and deck with beautiful views of the pond and surrounding trees, it's a perfect spot to relax, unwind and get back to nature. The site is completely off grid - water in containers, solar power, and composting toilet. We believe this makes the site special, offering a unique back-to-basics experience.
Our ethos is to provide a simple but comfortable, tranquil space to 'unplug' from the modern world, with a minimal impact on the surrounding nature so that it can be enjoyed. Please read our description fully before booking to ensure that our dome and site is perfect for you. Satori dome is located on a working farm alongside a large pond. Spend your time watching wild ducks and swans through the panoramic bay window, or explore North Northumeberland before heading back to your site for a soak in the outdoor Japanese soaking tub, whilst star gazing from the deck. Our dome is set up for 2 people with a double bed and Eve© memory foam mattress (bedding is provided.) LED battery fairy lights and lanterns provide mood lighting inside and outside the dome at night, and logs are provided for the wood burning stove and fire to keep you cosy when it is cold outside. Outside on the deck is a gas BBQ for cooking and inside there is a worktop and sink set up for prepping simple meals and washing up dishes (plates, cutlery and utensils provided.) A camp stove and kettle is also provided if you wish to boil water for teas and coffee. A leisure battery powers a small 24 Litre electric cool box to keep food items cool. The battery also has a USB port to charge your devices. Our simple off-grid sink is setup with a 25 litre container of fresh spring water and hand pump tap for washing up. Your outdoor hot tub will be filled with fresh spring water for your arrival. It can be used 2-3 times and takes 2-4 hours to heat up (depending on the weather/season), and will usually stay warm overnight. Please note that in keeping with our ethos of having a low impact on the surrounding nature, soaps are NOT allowed to be used in the tub because of the harm they could cause to the aquatic life of the pond when the tub is drained. We do not (yet) have a shower at the dome, for most people this is not a problem as the hot tub water is clean and does not contain any chemicals, and makes you feel fresh afterwards. The Eco friendly composting toilet is set back from the dome. Whilst it is basic, please be assured that it is both clean and civilised :)
The site is rural (no postcode and the closest neighbours are sheep), but is not far from a main road with easy access to the market towns Wooler (10 mins), Alnwick (20 mins) and Berwick-upon-Tweed (30 mins), as well as the stunning coast (40 mins). There are plenty of local pubs and shops within an approximate 10 minute drive. The location is great for those seeking to explore Chillingham Castle, The Cheviot hills, Ingram Valley, Bamburgh Beach and many other spectacular locations.

The Signal Box is our gorgeous little studio; a quiet getaway in the Northumbrian countryside. It's situated in the village of Ellingham, has a log burner, south facing balcony overlooking fields and a private enclosed garden. It's fully equipped for self-catering and is within a minute's walk of a great pub if you don't fancy cooking. Its name is our little touch of whimsy because we immediately thought of a signal box when we first saw it with its exterior wooden panelling.
The Signal Box is the perfect place to get away from it all for a few days. We love staying there with our dog Pebble and hope you will too! It's accessed via an external staircase onto a south facing balcony complete with patio furniture. Large patio doors lead into the open-plan living space, furnished with log burner, sofa seating for two, TV and DVD player, dining table and chairs, double bed, wardrobe and shower room. The kitchen has an induction hob and electric oven, microwave, fridge with ice-box, dishwasher and washing machine. Outside there's the south facing balcony, plus fully enclosed garden with two seating areas and a brick barbecue. There's also parking for one car on the driveway at the front of the property. It's situated on the edge of a quiet village, yet only a short drive to the beautiful beaches of the Northumbrian coast and to the market town of Alnwick. If you need a city fix, you're less than an hour away from Newcastle.
Ellingham is a small village about 7 miles north of the market town of Alnwick and 5 miles inland from the beautiful beach at Beadnell. There's a great local pub, the Packhorse Inn that does lovely food

Loan End Cottage is a lovely Georgian 2 bedroom cottage located a 7 minute walk from the centre of Alnwick. Off-street parking and own private entrance to the cottage. The owners live next door in the main part of the house, but you'll rarely see them unless you want to!! Living room with log-burner, kitchen, small rear courtyard on the ground floor. Upstairs their are 2 bedrooms - a single bed and a double bed - and a bathroom with over bath shower.
The cottage has a log-burner (logs supplied), 2 seater sofa and an armchair, good wifi and we are dog friendly. We provide complimentary tea & coffee, sweetener, a jug of milk in the fridge and a pack of biscuits. There are a selection of books and DVDs, CDs and the TV isa large flatscreen with UK freeview with integrated APPS such Netflix, Prime, BBC iPlayer, ITV HUB etc. (You will need your own user ids/log-in details etc to use the APPS.) The Wi-fi is BT fibre broadband, speeds are usually 50MB or more.
The building is grade 2 listed building with a private driveway away from the main street. It is very quiet but only a short walk to main street. Alnwick is famous for it's Castle, gardens and the coastline is one of the UK's best with large unspoilt beaches and castles galore.

Fairways is in a quite spot at Percy Wood awaiting anyone who would like a peaceful relaxing stay. Living and dining area is open plan very cosy, first bedroom has a double bed with built in wardrobes and jack & jill doors leading to the bathroom with shower. Second bedroom has 2 x single beds and a single wardrobe. The site also has a washing area with two large washing machines and two large dryers all based in a small building on the way into the site. There is outside area with furniture to relax on and chill. Welcome pack consists of fresh bread, milk, eggs, butter, juice and cereals also tea and coffee. There is a driveway for two cars and a tennis court on site along with an 18 hole golf course.
For a relaxing stay Percy Wood is the place as well it being peaceful it is only a drive away from gorgeous coastal towns and lovely Alnwick town. No public transport so a car is necessary.

The Stable at Bog Mill, Alnwick is a two bedroomed two floor property which sleeps 4 people. It has a grand but modern four poster double bed in the ground floor bedroom and 2 single twin beds in the upstairs bedroom. The upstairs area also boasts its own seating and games area with sofa, television and dvd. The downstairs has a large open plan kitchen dining area and lounge area with large screen tv. Free WiFi is available throughout the cottage. Safe parking is adjacent to the cottage and secure storage for bicycles is available. There is no smoking and no pets are allowed in the Stable.

A cosy little cabin, secluded but not isolated, next to a wood and pond 9 miles from Alnwick, on a small sheep farm in the Northumbrian countryside. You will have sole use of a well equipted cabin with use of the 2 acre wood shared with your hosts and their sheepdogs.
A comfortable living space with a bathroom and shower for your country retreat. Tea and coffee are available with milk and butter in the fridge. Parking is about 20 metres from the cabin which is reached by a gravel path.

The bunkhouse is a quirky and unique space set in the heart of Northumberland. Perfect for group stays. Kirsten can recommend many top places to go for food and attractions, please message with any questions. *** The Joiner’s Shop Bunkhouse is nestled nicely in the wooded hamlet of Preston, at the bottom of the hill secluded from nearby abodes. The building dates back to the 1860s when it was a purpose-built Joiners Shop: eventually the cottage became a family dwelling and in the early 1990s the Workshop was converted into a bunkhouse, and here we have the birth of this magical place! The Joiner’s Shop Bunkhouse is very much a traditional, get away from it all, bunkhouse. It is all thrills and no frills! It’s not shiny and modern but rustic, cosy and wholesome. We have everything you need for a comfortable stay: heating throughout, hot showers, 18 sturdy pine bunk beds, full kitchen including oven, fridge and microwave, long kitchen table, living room with plenty of seating and an open fire. There is also plenty of parking and an outdoor area to enjoy the sun or gaze at the open dark skies (you can see thousands of stars on a clear night!) There are 18 beds in the bunkhouse, they are seperated into sections of 2s, 3s and a 5. So although the dorm is still a shared space there is a sense of privacy with plywood and curtained sections. The bathroom has 2 hot electric showers, 3 loos and 3 sinks. The loos, kitchen and living area are all shared spaces. ***
