River
“The Kravice waterfalls, originally known as the Kravica waterfalls, is one of the most beautiful natural sites in the Herzegovinian region of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Located on the Trebižat river, it cascades off a particularly large tuff limestone deposit and onto the lake below. The entire area is protected by the state government, but it is open to the local public and tourists for visits, picnics, camping and even swimming. The entire area is full of greenery with chaste trees, poplars and figs all around. Even the tuff formations are green with thick lichen, moss and grass all over them. There are hardly any manmade formations near the falls to interfere with the location’s complete natural environment. The Kravice waterfall is roughly 25 meters high and separated into 20 falls, with the lake below being about 120 meters in radius. However, it is this small size of the fall that makes it so accessible, unlike most large waterfalls. ”

“This is a must do on your trip to Dubrovnik. The best time is early in the morning or later in the evening while it’s still light but cool. The views are stunning and the aspect the walk gives you of the Old Town is priceless. There is a cafe/bar along the way for drinks and snacks, but we recommend you take a bottle of water. Depending on your fitness level, you can walk the entire route or come off the wall earlier. ”

When it started building walls in the 13th century, the space of the old town was already defined to no longer spread. Within the city walls, during the Dubrovnik Republic there were about 2000 inhabitants at the time of the Constitution in 1272, and most were in the 15th century, about 6000 people [1]. In the 14th century 15 square-tower buildings were built. With the onset of gunpowder, it is gradually increasing the protection of the artillery attacks. Because of the dangers of the Venetian, all unnecessary openings on the walls at the port are closed. City walls were given the present look in the 15th and 16th centuries. Wars affected the new construction. When Constantinople fell in 1453, the Minceta Tower was built. Because of the Turkish-Venetian wars, the towers of St. Ivan, Revelin and the Bastion of St. Margarete (in St. Margaret's). The walls were built at great speed because of the danger of war”
