Welcome to Hills Creek Hideaway; more than just a place to stay, this is a vacation spot that has it all. Enjoy your own private space with views of water, mountains, and forest. Close to a multitude of activities, our newly remodeled modern house is the perfect place to relax, explore, and hide away. Close to trails, town, and water! Avoid the mosquito swarms you'd find at Odell Lake or Crescent Lake, at our lower elevation lake front getaway. Dog friendly! #oakridgeescapes on instagram
Nestled in the Willamette Forest, and close to many trails, our house is perched just above the Hills Creek Reservoir only a few miles outside of Oakridge. Private, quiet, clean, and with everything you need for a remarkable vacation, we know you’ll love your stay at Hills Creek Hideaway. There is so much to do in the area, no matter the season, and our place is the perfect home base for exploring while you: mountain bike, fish, ski or snowboard, swim, hike, or boat. In warm weather you’ll enjoy playing lawn games on the expansive lawn, grilling on the patio, or swimming in the reservoir (or one of Oakridge’s many wonderful swimming holes). Bring your boat as there’s parking for it and a boat launch a half mile down the road. In colder weather, you’ll enjoy warming up by the propane fire, while watching the dramatic fog and clouds sweep over the mountains and across the reservoir. We have many recommendations on places to explore in the area, but have made sure to make your space cozy if you’re looking to just stay put too. You will have the whole open, light-filled downstairs, as a private unit, with your own entrance, kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom. New hardwood floors, new appliances (and air conditioning), quality household items, a new memory foam bed (and pillows!) you’ll feel like you won’t want to leave our slice of paradise. We want you to enjoy your time at Hills Creek Hideaway as much as we do. Your friendly, well-behaved dog is welcome to join you on vacation. We will send a request for an “extra service fee” for $25 close to your arrival date. Failure to claim/pay for dogs will result in a $100 security deposit forfeiture. All dogs must be socialized and non-aggressive towards humans and other dogs alike, and may not be left unattended in the house. The top floor of the house is our separate unit. We will sleep off-site when we have guests, but might visit the property during the day for supplies/showers/or to help answer questions. While you might hear us (and our dogs) moving around, we’ll keep the dance parties for when you’re not there. We are always available by phone call or text. We are happy to make your stay comfortable should you need anything prior to, or during, your stay. Also Provided: -Sharp knives (something we notice when we travel) -Coffee, tea, snack items, and basic spices -Trail books to use and maps to plan adventures -Gas grill to bbq -Lawn games -Carpet free unit -Gas fireplace #oakridgeescapes on instagram website: https://oakridgeescapes.com
The nearest neighbors are a 1/4 down the road, and there are only a few properties on the reservoir. Peace, quiet, and nature are what makes this a wonderful "neighborhood."

The family created Grampie’s Cabin on 2 acres in Central Oregon, just a few miles from Crescent Lake and a short distance from Willamette Pass Ski Resort. My children and grandchildren use Grampie’s Cabin as their base for summer and winter fun. This is a rustic cabin, not a hotel in Manhattan.
3 Bedroom w/ two Queen beds / 2 twin beds and 1 bathroom Sleeps 6 Fully equipped Kitchen is included to make your family meals Satellite dish tv ( in master bedroom only ), games, Legos, Lincoln Logs, puzzles & playing cards are available No Wifi, but some reception may be available on your cellphone The open floor plan creates an environment where you can enjoy each other's company Activities by Season Spring to Fall - My SO and I fish nearly every morning on Odell Lake. We catch and release fish from the time the snow melts to when it starts falling again. Crater Lake National Park, at its depth of 1,943 feet (592 meters) makes it the deepest lake in the United States, and the ninth deepest in the world. The park is open year-round, 24 hours a day. But many of the park's roads, trails, and facilities are closed seasonally due to snow. The Pacific Crest Trail passes within 20 miles of the cabin and is easily accessed by National Forest Service roads. Summer - My daughter, granddaughter and friends ride horses and quads in the National Forest lands surrounding the cabin. They ride from the cabin to Crescent Lake (14 miles north) and to the town of Chemult (12 miles south). ATV trails are clearly marked. Though there are not specific horse riding trails, she has found respectful ATV riders in the rare times they cross paths. After a 20-minute car ride, a person can be sitting on the shore of Crescent Lake, either getting the fishing pole ready or jumping in for a swim. The grandkids love to take the dogs in the lake. Five miles up the road from Crescent Lake is Odell Lake that contains Mackinaw (lake trout), Kokanee (land locked salmon) and rainbow trout. Odell Lake holds the state record for the largest Mackinaw shattering the 40lb. threshold in 1984. Other fun activities in the area include hiking, biking, frisbee golf, boating, canoeing, jet skiing, kayaking, and paddle boarding. Winter - My son and grandson snowboard in the winter at Willamette Pass Ski Resort (30-minute drive) and Bachelor Ski Resort (1-hour drive). Additionally, the same trails used for quads in the summer are available for winter snowmobiling, snowshoeing or cross-country skiing. Sites nearby Willamette Pass Ski Resort (30-minute drive) Bachelor Ski Resort (1-hour drive) Crater Lake (1 hour south) Crescent Lake (14 miles north) Lava fields (50 minutes) High Desert Museum (50 minutes) Towns Chemult (12 miles south) LaPine (40 minutes northeast) Bend (70 minutes northeast) Restaurants Manley’s Tavern (13 miles north) – Excellent broasted chicken Mohawk Restaurant (20 minutes) – Unique experience with hearty food Crescent Lake Lodge (25 minutes) – Got to try the Sunday Brunch Odell Lake Lodge (30 minutes) – You won’t go wrong ordering the Fish and Chips w/ Mud Pie for dessert

Ho recomano a qualsevol.

Bing your own propane green if you want to use the grill.

    Rustic farm /bicycle cabin.
Our farm cabin along the bike trail is small--but quaint and cozy. We had a hand in building it, along with our neighbor and a few other local craftsmen. It is designed to provide solitude and comfort. It has all the true necessities; at the same time we have chosen to eliminate unnecessary noise and clutter (no TV, phone, or internet). You will find hot water, a small refrigerator, a cozy wood stove, and wood supply. Hiking (especially Brice Creek Trail to Upper Trestle Falls Trail) is grand. Oregon Scenic Bikeways Covered Bridges ride takes scenic curves around Dorena Lake to and from our cabin to Cottage Grove (17 miles one way). Swimming, kayaking, picnicking...It is ideal for families or couples. If you choose to bike East of our cabin, beyond the bikeway, cars are few, the water is inviting, hiking abounds. In winter, white water kayakers enjoy Brice Creek. Some of Oregon's best, secret bike routes start from our cabin . You can bike from our cabin south to Steamboat Inn on the Umpqua River (approx 35 mi one way) or head east to Oakridge (approx 38 mile loop back to cabin). See Jay's Essential Bike Rides online for a description of the latter: "Brice Creek Rd" trip. Also, book "75 Classic Rides Oregon" by Jim Moore, for more specifics.
We are in a quiet location removed from traffic on 23 acres of farm and forest land.

Welcome to The Lodge at Hills Creek; nestled in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains and tucked into the Willamette Forest, it is the ideal setting and accommodations for a vacation escape. Set on five acres, surrounded by mountains, trees, and trails, and perched above the reservoir (with direct lake access--please note water levels fluctuate and some seasons might have lower levels), this private and intimate lodge is ready for your next getaway. #oakridgeescapes on instagram
The Lodge at Hills Creek redefines what a vacation rental is meant to be: whether you plan on getting out for the multitude of outdoor adventures, or staying in to watch the dramatic views from indoors. Avoid the mosquito swarms you'd find at Odell Lake or Crescent Lake, at our lower elevation getaway. We welcome you to bring your friends, family, or organization to The Lodge to hideaway in our Oakridge escape, enjoyable in all four seasons. The Lodge at Hills Creek was lovingly and masterfully hand-built, with local timber, by a remarkable craftsman. His design provided the many windows to capture the views, a spacious layout for family connection, and a painstaking eye for detail; all helping to create this unique and unforgettable space. There are two master bedrooms, with attached bathrooms, and two loft bedrooms, all carefully appointed with luxury and comfort in mind. A woodburning stove provides both ambiance and heat in the cooler months, while a central air conditioner gives comfort in warmer months. An open floor plan for the kitchen and living area allows for group engagement during meals and cabin time. The wrap-around porch is the ideal spot for your happy hour or morning coffee as you watch the mountain scenes and lake from above, while the kids and dogs play in the yard. The location is the other half of what makes this property special. Only miles from town, minutes from hiking and mountain biking trails, steps to swimming/boating/paddle boarding, less than an hour from Willamette Pass and Waldo Lake, and surrounded by National Forest, you can’t feel this close to nature, while still sleeping in comfort. Our place also makes the perfect base for those wanting a day trip (two hours by car) to Crater Lake. Also provided: -A gas grill to bbq -A fully equipped kitchen -Access to a private dock (water levels fluctuate due to it being a reservoir and water does not reach the dock) -Brand new memory foam beds (all rooms), new pillows, linens -Private trails on the property to explore -Trail books and maps to plan adventures -Lawn games -Sharp knives (something we appreciate when we travel) -A fire pit (with season/fire ban appropriate) -Laundry room We also own the Hills Creek Hideaway vacation rental, a quarter of the mile down the road, which will sleep another couple wanting to be a part of the the Lodge but requesting more privacy. Your friendly, well-behaved dogs are welcome to join you on vacation. We will send a request for an “extra service fee” for $25/per dog close to your arrival date. Failure to claim/pay for dogs, or follow pet guidelines, will result in a $100 security deposit forfeiture.
