This apartment was perfect! The furniture was brand new and the place was immaculate. You can really tell that Pam and Mike care about their property and about their guests. All questions were answered right away and they even suggested a cute little restaurant in Shelburne Falls for dinner (which was delicious!) The apartment has a kitchen with all the cookware that a guest could need and if I had stayed longer than one night it would have come in handy! When I woke up and looked out the window I could see a river right across the street. It was a great way to enjoy a cup of coffee! I will definitely be returning to this clean, cozy, and friendly place. Thanks for the great stay!

We had a wonderful stay at Cavalier Cottage. My fiancé and I wanted a short getaway and were very happy to find a place we could easily bring our dog. Unfortunately, we had a bit of bad weather but the surrounding area seems like it would be beautiful in the summer. There are also great winter hiking, skiing, and snow tubing options nearby and board games, tv access, and hot chocolate in the cottage for a cozy night in! We also visited the flagship Yankee Candle store nearby which was lots of fun. Finally, we really enjoyed the warm scones for breakfast, served with a great selection of jams. Overall a very enjoyable stay!

Our entire experience at Cavalier Cottage was an excellent one! Patricia is very kind and flexible and was helpful in answering or finding answers to any of our questions about the area. The cottage was comfy and just perfect for our family of four. Breakfast was delicious and delivered whenever we requested. Thank you, Patricia, for such a nice stay in lovely Massachusetts!

This place is charming and it's clear that Patricia takes great care to make everything as perfect as possible for her guests. The place was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed and more for a weekend stay, and the scones and OJ in the morning were a warm touch. I have told my Colrain family to keep this place in mind for future guests and would definitely stay here again.

This was an absolutely wonderful place to stay and I have recommended it to friends who live in Massachusetts. A large bedroom/sitting room, private bath and private kitchen so we could actually cook dinner one night. Chairs on the porch look out over the grounds with no other home in sight. Pat was very helpful and makes mean scones for breakfast.

We had a wonderful time at Cavalier Cottage. We brought out dog and bird along for the trip and found the studio very relaxing and cozy. The breakfast scones are always something great to look forward to in the morning. Our dog loved walking around the property and meeting Pat's dogs. Seriously if you are considering this place I can say you will have a lovely time.

Pat's place is a palace for pug's and people alike. Our dogs felt right at home in her cottage, and she's on a lovely street that was picturesque. Her scones are not to be missed, and the cottage is equipped with board games, puzzles, tea and cocoa and more. We'll certainly be back.

My mother and I could not have imagined a better place to stay this Mother's Day weekend. Renee and Harry were fantastic hosts; they went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and even left a full breakfast, including fresh eggs from their chickens for us to cook in the morning! We were welcomed warmly into their space and told we could come by into their main house for whatever we might need. They were very communicative in general and so helpful in helping us find things to do around the area. We explored their backyard and the roads around their home as well, and the sights were to die for! Such beautiful countryside sights! All in all, the place itself was top notch. Unbelievably charming, clean, and comfortable. We were so sad to leave but happy we have somewhere we now know we will love to return to if we please! I highly recommend a stay here, it's just lovely all-around...life in the countryside and the option of living in a loft, what more could you need!

Their home is located close enough to the center of town, and convenient to get to Elmer's General Store for a sandwich or, even better, for a waffle breakfast. Or, you can stay back and enjoy your morning coffee out on the porch, surrounded by singing birds, beautiful plants, trees, flowers and fresh-smelling lawns. We were completely enchanted with the unexpected treasure of a screened porch with furniture that encouraged lounging with a good book, or taking a that was just perfect for nap before dinner.

The guest apartment at Blue House Farm and Garden was wonderfully tranquil. It was a great getaway – clean, cozy and private with a beautiful view of rolling green hills. Renee and Harry were welcoming hosts, providing helpful directions and tips about the area but also very good about giving us space, letting us relax and take in the beauty of their property. We highly recommend it and look forward to returning there soon.

The place was great. Ben sent us all the info we needed. Very hands off so it felt like we were the only ones there. Quick with all communication. Place was very clean and well stocked.

Our experience was great! Ben welcomed us upon arrival and made sure we were setup to have an awesome weekend, and the unit was as described. There was a nice large lawn for us to use, a fire pit (Ben let us use the wood he had stacked), and porch complete with grill and chiminea. I'd stay here without hesitation next time I'm in the area.

Ben's place was fantastic. It is in such a beautiful location, and the place was clean and accommodating. Ben was also incredibly attentive to anything we needed, but gave us plenty of solitude otherwise. This is also a great place to bring a dog, and ours absolutely loved the area. No hesitations to stay here again.

The house is located in a beautiful area surrounded by trees and a creek runs right by it. The property is really beautiful, the kitchen is fully equipped and the apartment is very clean and cozy. The pictures and description are very accurate. Ben was quick to respond when we had questions and he was very cordial. We had a great weekend stay at Ben's and we would definitely stay again at his place!

After hiking up Mt. Greylock on Thanksgiving day, we were able to come back to a wonderful place to enjoy dinner and time with our children. Ben was very welcoming and hospitable. A great place to stay.

Ben's place was great! Beautiful location near Berkshire East ski mountain tucked away nicely in the woods. It had everything that we needed, very comfortable beds, plenty of space, all of the kitchenware, linens, etc. that we needed. We took advantage of the mountain coaster about a minute up the road at Berkshire East and had a blast! Also the Deerfield river is near by and we were able to take advantage of the access and go kayaking! Great place, just as described, perfect, quiet getaway with great access to outdoor recreation.

Second time staying here and had another great experience. Cyndee and Jim are very hospitable. Looking forward to visiting again.

We enjoyed our brief stay at the Woodshop Studio for a wedding in town. The bed is large and comfortable; the futon was an ideal bed for our 6 and 8 year old children. The yard and garden is a pleasant area. Jim's woodworking gave the studio a beautiful custom look and feel. Ample parking on the street. We walked to town for coffee and breakfast, just two blocks from the center of town and the Bridge of Flowers. Cyndee connected us with a friend that drove us to the wedding and returned us afterwards, Shelburne Falls' version of Uber. We'd be happy to stay with Cyndee and Jim again in the Woodshop Studio in beautiful Shelburne Falls and recommend it to friends.

Cyndee and Jim are the perfect hosts. Ever available, kind, interesting, and friendly. The space was incredibly ideal for our weekend getting out of the city. Sleeping in comfy king size bed, being warmed by the wood-burning stove, and listening to the gentle clucks of the sweet chickens in the morning calmed our exhausted-from-the-city selves. And the location is ideal for walking into town or driving a short way to one of the super fun and beautiful hikes recommended by Cyndee and Jim. Thanks for the much needed idyllic getaway!

Across the board we had an amazing experience at Pat and Randy's place. Not only is it a completely charming place but in a central location for an easy walk to the center of town, which is scenic in its own right. We will definitely be returning for a trip in the future and highly recommend it to one and all.

The Railroad House was amazing to say the least. Randy was a great host. He communicated promptly and clearly. He recommended a bunch of great places to visit--specially the Blue Rock Restaurant. He was nice and welcoming but gave us tons of privacy at the same time. The house itself was very clean, with a modern cottage feel. It was warm and cozy with an incredible records collection. The town was charming, with just the right amount of things to do! We hope to visit again soon.

This place is amazing! It is so rustic and romantic for a get away! My husband and I loved our stay! The amenities are perfect. We had a little fridge to store our food and drinks in, plenty of flatware to use and a perfect little sitting area. It was really great to not have a TV to distract us from the beauty of the area. If you're looking to unplug, relax and unwind this is the place for you!

The Railroad House apartment is a great find in Shelburne Falls, MA. It has rustic charm, tons of old records for your enjoyment and is just steps from Shelburne Falls attractions like the Bridge of Flowers. Randy is an excellent host and made it very easy for us to check in and out. He also made a great breakfast recommendation (Davenport's Sugar House) that's off the beaten path and very tasty! The one thing to be aware of is the trains do come by right next to the apartment as late as 1 am. It was shocking the first time it went by, but I got used to it by the second night. If you're a light sleeper, it may be an issue. Definitely worth a stay!

I really loved this space. I felt well taken care of and I had everything I needed. I slept like a lamb...even with the train going by...which I loved. Randy was the best host. I loved walking through town after work. It couldn't have been any better for me. Much appreciation! Favorite things: Picture of David Bowie on the wall, prismatic nightlight, train going by, walking through town, friendly and informative host.

Everything about this place is awesome! I booked it for my parents, who were visiting from Colorado. They are very picky, and are also light sleepers, and I was nervous about what they'd think about their first Air BnB experience. But they loved the place so much they asked me to try to book it for extra days so they could stay longer! They said they'd never slept so well in their life. The apartment is beautiful, pleasant, full of cool interesting touches and lovely furniture. The bedroom is upstairs in this wonderful cozy nook with super high ceilings. Pat and Randy are excellent hosts--present and responsive but also chill and laid back. I will definitely be booking this place the next time we have visitors!

We stayed at Mo's apartment for four months and it was a lovely experience. On our first day, we were so surprised by how nice the apartment was. The pictures really do not do it justice! There is a large walk-in closet in the bedroom and a couch that Mo had delivered during our stay. The only thing missing in the apartment is a proper oven/stove. With a little creativity, we were able to bake our own bread in the toaster oven, make pot roast, and many other delicious meals. Truly, the only thing the lack of an oven created was an opportunity for us to get creative about our cooking! Some people might find this apartment to be small, but it was really quite comfortable. There were two of us and a 70lb dog at one point. Everyone was happy and had their own space. Mo was incredibly accommodating. We were comfortable with asking her for things we needed and often times she helped us without us even thinking to ask! When we had a guest over, she provided us with blankets and a mattress pad to be placed on the pull out bed. She was always willing to help and was pleasant to chat with. At the same time, we never felt like she was intruding on our space. The apartment is a great space for a quick stay or a long one. Mo makes the experience even better!

Patricia and her partner John were very accommodating. Their apartment fit our needs for the night as we were heading to North Adams the next day to camp. Rain was expected over the course of the next few days and they offered to keep room available for us the next night in the event camping was washed out - even though they had other airBnB requests. They even gave us a couple beers after our long day of flying across country and driving from Boston. We enjoyed our brief stay in Shelburne Falls.

Tiffany Ananda's space is lovely if you want a picture of life in Shelburne Falls. I love this town and it was great fun to sit in a hammock high above the main street and watch the evening unfold. The train went through and the sun went down. It is a lovely blend of the natural world and a busy little town. Her apartment is just across from the Foxtown Diner and close to great places to have a meal or a snack like Hearty Eats and Mocha Maya's. Her place is clean and bright and filled with lovely things. I do recommend it.

TIffany's place was great! Perfect location right in the little downtown, great look and feel to the place, and comfortable bed. Tiffany's friend Fred let us in, showed us around the apartment, and offered suggestions on places to get dinner. He was even flexible about check out time, which we really appreciated. We'd gladly stay there again.

Awesome loft right on Bridge Street. Tiffany was very responsive when I messaged. And the place is amazing! If you like vintage items, you'll love this place. We really enjoyed the record player/cabinet. Listened to so many albums while there and discovered some we hadn't seen before. Comfortable space, great bathroom (and water pressure). Walkable to local restaurants, market right next door, and candlepin bowling across the street (which has super friendly staff!). You won't be disappointed staying here!

Beautiful little town. A little confusing on first entering as we had to go into an office to find the stairs to the third floor. Nice apt. Acceptable though it could have been cleaner. Our host was out of town but did leave a key where we could find it.

This apartment is the perfect getaway, whether you're just passing through, or looking to spend a weekend in western Massachusetts (well worth your money, I should add). My friend and I stayed here for a weekend festival at Mass MoCA, which was a half-hour drive. I really have nothing but good things to say--it has all of the amenities, and more! Clean and inviting, quiet, spacious yet cozy, and very well-decorated. Peter and Paula were gracious hosts, and even provided us with fresh homemade granola (delicious!), milk and orange juice. The land surrounding the apartment is stunning, and Paula encouraged us to explore. Though my partner and I were gone for most of the days, we're looking forward to returning in the fall for a weekend spent on the land and in front of the wood-stove. Well worth it!

I brought my boyfriend to Peter's place for his birthday. It was beyond ideal. We had a beautiful fire every night, we cooked in the darling kitchen that had everything we needed. The place was so cozy, clean and comfy, it totally hit the spot for a weekend getaway from the city. We saw so many stars at night, mass moca was just a short drive away and a truly exceptional experience even for a couple of jaded New Yorkers! Peter was such a lovely host, he responded to any need or question we had promptly, gave us all kinds of info about the area and was just delightful to be around. Our only regret was that we had to go. We both hope to get back as soon as possible. It was perfect.

Peter was easy to reach & great with communication, very responsive throughout. When we arrived we were welcomed with drinks, homemade granola, and an assortment of teas, hot chocolate & coffee, all which we enjoyed during our stay :) The place was clean, cozy, rustic-decor, and very charming. We loved the wood stove and it kept us warm during the cool fall nights. Peter provided a helpful folder with information about the place, nearby towns to visit, etc. which we found very helpful. The location very peaceful with beautiful farms nearby, while being close to highways to get to nearby towns for hiking and sight-seeing. Overall, it made our first stay in the Berkshires a delightful one!

This was our first time trying Airbnb and Peter and his family couldn't have extended a warmer welcome or more perfect stay! The apartment is brand new, with perfectly placed decor and unique furniture and fixtures, such as an old window repurposed as a desk and an old toolchest as a bedside table. The apartment is spacious and bright - on the second floor (above the town's post office!) with slanty ceilings dotted with skylights. Peter and his wife and daughter immediately offered use of their entire backyard, which is beautiful and includes a stone terrace and two fire pits. We joined Peter and his daughter Ashley around their fire in the evening, although there was a second fire pit about a hundred yards away in case we were craving privacy. It was chilly for late May, but the warmth of the fire and the amazing expanse of stars was incredibly worth it. Peter's wife Martha had stocked the kitchen in the apartment with delicious homemade granola and fresh milk, as well as coffee and tea, so we were all set with breakfast in the morning before getting on our way. We had mentioned we wanted to do some hiking in the area so they had set out a book of the best hikes. All around it was an extremely lovely experience and we would love to return!!

I was surprised about what previous reviewers said about the pictures not doing the place justice because I already thought the place looked great from the pictures! Being in the space I can totally agree. The skylights and attention to the subtle decorations and color patterns are so pleasing to the eye. The couch is maybe the most comfortable I ever sat on. It really is a joy and driving through the area is incredibly picturesque. I would love to stay here again.

Randy and his "barn" we're both excellent. Our accommodations were beyond comfortable, and Randy was a terrific host. I can confidently recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the area.

Everything about our stay was fantastic. The barn was cozy, welcoming, bright and fun. Randy was such a thoughtful and easy going host with a great record collection. Not only is the barn pet friendly, it's pet Heaven! My two small dogs couldn't get enough of the huge back yard.

Staying at this gem of a place was absolutely perfect for our weekend getaway. Randy’s barn was so charming and cozy we felt welcomed and immediately felt the city’s stress melt away. Unfortunately we didn’t meet Randy and Mike in person, as they also left for the weekend holiday, but Randy made sure to communicate through phone and made sure we knew that he was easily accessible through phone/email. We regret not meeting in person, but we have a feeling we will be back at this place. Randy was even helpful in recommending places to eat in Northampton, a stop we made on our way up to Shelburne Falls. Once there, my husband and I would go out and enjoy the area’s charms: hiking, river-wading, the Bridge of Flowers, shops, antiquing, delicious restaurants, Mass MoCA,, orchard picking, local tag sales…etc. The locals were friendly and generous. We’d return to the barn and stay up late enjoying the books and poetry and the music collection. The bass-like rumble of the train was absolutely my husbands favorite feature and he’d run out to see it. Comfortable bed, nice full bath and strong shower; simple and tastefully decorated…I can’t say enough good things about this place. Thanks again, Randy and Mike!

Wow! Amazing hospitality and amazing space. Much better than a hotel. Randy not only talked me through the airbnb process, as this was my first experience on the site, but he made us feel right at home and took care of all of our possible needs in the Western Mass countryside in a snowstorm! The barn is a stylish and comfortable retreat so close to the amazing attractions of Shelburne Falls. Randy let us check in early, provided an emergency meal in case of snowboundness, and had awesome recommendations about where to go and how to deal with the crazy weather. The details of the barn defy expectations--a mindblowing alt-pop LP collection to explore, luxurious AND green amenities, immaculate linens, and delightful surprise decor in all the beamed charmingness of the architecture. We cant wait to come back. Thanks for a terrific February getaway!

This was once of the nicest Airbnb rentals I've ever stayed in. The place is very comfortable, quiet, quaint, and has a ton of charm to it — much like the town of Ashfield itself. t really felt like an escape from the city, which is just what we needed. It was also conveniently located and everything we came to do in the area was just a short drive away. Shops and restaurants are just a walk away. If we're ever back out that way, we'll definitely be staying here again!

Very pleasant stay at the ashfield house, we rented it to accommodate 4 additional guests since our house couldn't sleep more than 6 and they had a great experience. Definitely recommends.

This is a quiet place to stay, just perfect for our family visiting the area. Elmer's has a great breakfast when you stay. There is also a very friendly cat who greeted us outside the place each time we pulled up.

We had a wonderful time during our recent three night stay at Zachariah House. It provided a lovely and welcoming home base for us while visiting friends who live in a nearby town. Laura’s home was comfortable and well-supplied with everything we needed. We enjoyed exploring western Massachusetts: hiking Mt. A delightfully cozy but well stocked cottage - far enough from Northampton to feel secluded but close enough so that groceries and nightlife are options. The rooms are not particularly private but there is comfortable space and rest for many. Would definitely stay again.

Laura was courteous, kind and helpful in securing the house. It was in the perfect spot and was the perfect size for my mom and myself to explore her childhood stomping grounds. Check in could not have been easier. I wish we would have had time to meet Laura, really my only regret!

La casa era preciosa, con iluminación maravillosa y unas anfitrionas. Llegamos a un hermoso jarrón de flores silvestres frescas en el mostrador principal establecido por la pareja que vive en la planta baja. También nos dieron buenos consejos sobre las excursiones por la zona y salieron de su camino para ayudar a coordinar una parte del transporte de North Adams para una boda a la que íbamos. Super clean and nice accommodation in the woods. City people: be aware that the next place to actually get some dinner is 40-minutes away. Plan ahead. This place is really in the woods.

Everything about this experience was great and amazing! Thank you for an incredibly peaceful time in the forests of Savoy! The house: This was everything we could ask for! The open feeling of the house, with its beautiful interior wood, the screened in porch, plentiful windows, spacious bedrooms, and bathroom are all amazing. The jacuzzi was much bigger than the picture made it seem! The kitchen was stocked with utensils to get by, plus more. The lawn around the house is huge, and the view off the deck is great!! There are some nice trails right behind the house that go to beautiful beaver ponds, and the road that is off the property was nice to walk down. The woods are beautiful! Our hosts: Aravinda was extremely responsive and helpful in setting up our stay (reserved on a Thursday evening for Friday!), and helping us with directions after hours on our way there around 9pm. Everything was made very easy and the house was open with the lights on when we arrived later than anticipated. At the house there was a list of all important contacts & information. Thank you Aravinda! The caretakers, a couple below us, were incredibly friendly and helpful in explaining the property to us. They were very pleasant to be around! All smiles. Thank you both!

Me quedé en el lugar de Aravinda con otros dos amigos en octubre de 2015. Nuestra estancia fue genial! La casa está totalmente equipada y la sala de estar es muy agradable, con una gran vista de los bosques de los alrededores. La estufa de leña es fácil de operar, incluso para nosotros que tenía poca experiencia con este tipo de dispositivos! La zona también es muy agradable y tiene varios buenos senderos para caminar pocos minutos (asegúrese de llevar comida a la casa desde el supermercado más cercano está a una media hora de viaje en coche por lo menos). Aravinda era un gran anfitrión y ella era muy receptivo cuando teníamos algunos problemas con la casa!

Our stay at "Retreat in the woods" was simply amazing. They house is spacious, very clean, very comfortable and located right next to a state park. The host Aravinda is very responsive and kind. We can greatly recommend this place!

Clean, the place matches the description and pictures. Has a cozy feel and very quiet. It is a bit off the beaten trail so keep in mind to pack food and the basics. Your GPS may not be as up to date on washed out roads as desired, but hostess explains which roads are missing, allow for an extra 20 or so minutes to find the place because it is hidden.

El barrio era tranquilo y seguro. La estufa de leña ardía cuando llegamos y la casa era cálido y acogedor. En suma, una hermosa ubicación y una estancia maravillosa!
