A spacious and private suite consisting of your own double bedroom a spacious well equipped lounge and a large bathroom.
The property is situated close to the sea and up a short but steep road which has the benefit of providing wonderful sea views from the accommodation, it could, however, prove difficult for a person with mobility difficulties. The accommodation its self is situated on the second floor of a three storey townhouse set in a quiet residential courtyard. We have a double garage containing washing and drying facilities and a dedicated parking space, which is extremely rare for the area. The bedroom benefits from a king size bed and has views over the Firth of Forth flowing into the north sea. The living room has a large corner suite and access to a 65" Smart TV where you are welcome to use your own Netflix, Amazon or NOWTV subscription, we also have access to a range of premium channels from around the world. This does mean that in the morning and night we will have to use the staircase but we will of course, not encroach on your privacy. Although mainly ideal for couples or single travellers, it may be possible to accommodate a small child or baby within the bedroom or on an inflatable bed within the living room. Anything we can do to help, please feel free to contact us and we will see what we can do The house has good broadband access and speeds of 30 Mbps as an average.

Burnside Cottage dates from 1750 and has been newly and lovingly restored in Spring 2018 by Dorothy and Andrew Murphy installing new floors throughout, new kitchen and bathroom and completely redcorated. In Scotland golf has always been a game for everyone so it is fairly inexpensive to play. Fife has lots of historic places of interest. In the immediate locality there is the Fishermans Museum at Anstruther, Kellie Castle and Gardens, The Secret Bunker and Cambo House famed for its spring flowers. A bit further inland there is Falkland Palace , Hill of Tarvit Mansion and Edinburgh and Stirling Castles are just over an hours drive away. This one-bedroom penthouse flat offers everything you need for an East Neuk of Fife get-away – and it’s right on the Fife Coastal Path, overlooking the lively, working harbour of Pittenweem. The centrepiece of this bright and airy flat is the open-plan kitchen/diner and lounge which offers views south, out into the Firth of Forth and the North Sea. We recommend the comfy sofa to cast your eye over fishermen laying their creels in the peaceful, sparkling waters. Or take a lounge window seat and look west over the boats bobbing around in the harbour. You are that close! The penthouse is finished to a luxuriously high standard with all the amenities you need for your stay and a plush super-king bed (which can be split into 2 singles) that is perfect for resting up for a day exploring Fife. If you're visiting in winter, warm up in a luxurious bath. * Please note, a minimum 3 night stay*
Sit back and relax and take in the lovely sea views from the comfort of the lounge sofa. Being just minutes from the harbour, there is an abundance of fresh fish available to purchase. Being close to St Andrews, this property is in a great location for golfing and beach getaways. The penthouse is an ideal retreat for couples, although the lounge sofa is a comfortable double bed-settee to offer additional sleeping space to sleep up to 4 guests maximum. Please note, the sofabed incurs an additional £25 fee and will need to be specifically requested so we can inform the housekeeper. Larger groups can also rent the main two-storey house below, House on the Harbour (https://www.airbnb.co.uk/rooms/15881178), with a separate entrance. The House on the Harbour sleeps 6 – 8; and together the penthouse and main house could comfortably accommodate groups of up to 12. Original artwork by David Henderson– paintings and prints –feature in all rooms.
Pittenweem has the only working harbour in the East Neuk of Fife. House on the Harbour is steeped in fishing history, and even now you can buy fish and seafood on your doorstep. Watch the seals in the harbour whilst enjoying an ice cream. Take a short walk along the beach and you may be lucky enough to see dolphins and porpoise – or even a whale. Or enjoy a boat trip to the Isle of May (National Nature Reserve) – or even North Berwick across the water in East Lothian. Penthouse on the Harbour is right on the Fife Coastal Path, and it’s a gentle 40 minute walk to Anstruther to the east, or St Monans to the west. The annual Pittenweem Arts Festival (August) has drawn a community of artists and craftspeople to this historic village, with galleries and open studies. The sleepy high street has welcoming cafes, and there are two village pubs. Anstruther, Elie and St Monans also provide a wide range of restaurants, pubs and cafes. For golfers, Fife is the home of golf, with Anstruther course five minutes away, and another 45 courses a short drive – including the famous Old Course at St Andrews.

  • Un petit estudi autònom molt ben equipat. Molt bé de preu.

    Audrey2019-10-23T00:00:00Z
No ho vaig fer.

    Valentina2019-10-20T00:00:00Z

You couldn’t get closer to the sea in Fife without actually being in it! Sporting an outside terrace right on the sea wall and the living room offering un-obstructed views through a wall of glass, Sharps Close 2 is one the most prized properties on the Cellardyke shoreline. With the master bedroom behind a pair of double doors, if he/she so wishes, the guest is able to lie in bed and take in the floor-to-ceiling view right across the Forth to East Lothian. Sharps Close takes its name from the small alleyway that leads down to the cottage, which used to house workers for the nearby Sharpe and Murray oilskin works. The owners have renovated this 19th century cottage to an extremely high standard, as it is their intention to retire here themselves. Entrance from the close leads into a hallway and on to an open-plan modern kitchen/diner, with all amenities, including TV, smart speakers etc.. As the owner fancies himself as a bit-of-a-chef, the kitchen is laid out for those who enjoy cooking but is equally suited for munching on a takeaway or rustling up a quick bite. Also on the ground floor is a double bedroom with two windows to the close and a family bathroom, with shower over. A recent extension now houses a further bedroom on this floor, accessed through an archway from the kitchen. There is also a utility room in this area. A modern oak staircase leads to a large bright sitting-room with beautiful unobstructed views to the Forth Estuary and North Sea, including the Isle of May and Bass Rock. Recent works have removed the complete gable-end and replaced it with a wall of glass, extending the sitting-room further out towards the sea, thus creating an additional seating area to take in the view. The window opens to a fabulously private terraced area surrounded by a glass balustrade, where you can sit and enjoy the views onto the beach or even fire up the BBQ on better days. With the waves crashing to the beach just a few feet below, this is an ideal place to relax and enjoy the view of seals, seabirds (including numerous Curlew) and occasional dolphins, in all weathers. A host of brightly coloured boats usually adorn the nearby vista also. (Additional photos of the recently completed works will be available shortly.) Double doors lead to the master suite which, when left open give stunning sea views right from the bed. A stylish en-suite shower room completes this cosy yet airy and bright house. Original oil and watercolour seascapes adorn most of the walls to add the holiday atmosphere. The house is fully double glazed, extremely well insulated and heated with simple to use gas central heating. Outside, just a few yards away, the house has its own safe rocky and pebbled beach, ideal for kids to play while being watched from the window. In summer, a dip in the sea is enjoyably refreshing although not for the faint hearted! Lobsters, Cod and many other fish are regularly caught off the 'Rock' outside the window. The beach is also dog-friendly, and is cordoned off at both ends when the tide is in. If East Neuk is one of life's forgotten corners of the UK, then the lovely fishing villages of Anstruther and Cellardyke are the jewels in its crown. Packed with cosy pubs and a variety of cafes and restaurants, including one Michelin-starred restaurant, and not forgetting its world-famous fish and chip shops. The narrow streets also offer boutiques and galleries for those just wishing to enjoy a few days in a relaxing way. There is a supermarket plus two convenience stores, a great butcher on the harbour plus a country-renowned artisan baker.
