Welcome to our family-friendly 'glamping' caravan in a quiet corner of a beautiful and unique farming community. A perfect spot for couples and friends, or small families, close to Ledbury, Hereford and the Malvern Hills. With compost loo and electricity from solar panels - an interesting retreat with a small eco footprint! Great for walking or enjoying the peace of a rural farming environment. For info search 'Canon Frome Court' on the web. It's only a caravan, but it's full of charm!
Chestnut Corner Van is for our friends and families and other guests to enjoy a beautiful, quiet corner of the farm, with views of mature trees and within reach of the main house. It’s a great spot for a peaceful stay, plenty of space for children to enjoy, and within sight of our lovely goats, chickens, cows and sheep! There is a small play area on the front lawn. The caravan is warm, dry, well-decorated and well equipped. It has a double bedroom, a self-catering galley kitchen (with fridge, small oven, toaster, kettle) and a fairly spacious and comfortable living area with sofa, tables and chairs and a view out to the fields. There is a bathroom with a hot shower. We cannot provide a toilet inside the van but we think you will enjoy our quirky compost toilet, a few steps away. This space would be ample for a couple or a family, with the children sleeping on bedrolls/mattresses in the living room. Equally if you are a large family you are very welcome to pitch a tent in front of the caravan for the children to enjoy the outdoor life in a safe environment.
We are set away from roads in the quiet hamlet of Canon Frome, it takes about 15 minutes to drive to Ledbury which is a nice market town with lots of independent shops, plus all you need in the way of supermarkets etc. Canon Frome Court itself is an unusual converted Georgian mansion set in it's own 35 acres which we farm organically. In beautiful Herefordshire countryside, a comfortable double bed awaits. There is a shower room for the sole use of the guests. The room is at the bottom of a traditional Herefordshire hop kiln, overlooking the small woodland garden. A large lawned and flower filled garden plus a large cider apple orchard is fully accessible for guests to enjoy.

The bedroom is located on the ground floor with a step down into the space. One wall of the room is taken up with a massive window which looks down the garden - an avenue of silver birch trees. The house is a registered small holding, with over 3 acres of garden and an old orchard full of damson, cider, cooking and eating apples. In season guests will be able to have fresh fruit from the garden for breakfast.
Although the house is in the countryside - it is not isolated, there is a local shop 2 miles away for newspapers etc. A garage a further 2 miles away provides fuel and more food requirements. Our local pub The Three Horseshoes in Little Cowarne, serves excellent suppers using ingredients sourced locally with beers from the village brewery - Wye Valley and cider from local maker who uses fruit from our orchard - Oliver's. Please note - they are closed on Tuesdays. Many guests have walked up to the pub, it takes about 20 minutes and affords lovely views down the valley and across to the Welsh hills. It also means the lovely beers and cider can be tried with no worries about driving. Most people come to Herefordshire for the peaceful walking the hills provides and some leaflets are provided to wet guests' appetites. Because of the easy proximity to the Brecons and the Malvern Hills guests will be spoilt for choice if amazing vistas and quiet timeless beauty is what is desired. Choice of single, twin and double bedrooms, some with low doorways/ceilings. Shared bath/shower room, separate shared WC/basin. Extended continental breakfast included, served in the kitchen. Cooked breakfast extra, to order. Shared living room with TV, etc., free wi-fi, off-road parking for cars, motorbikes and cycles. No children, pets, parties or smoking.
Other larger twin, double and family rooms available. This single room, we call the "bunny hutch", because of its small size (just 13'6" x 4' wide). It is for the nimble, having a little doorway, just 2'6" high by 2' wide). Windowless, but neither claustrophobic nor stuffy due to the high ceiling, it contains a comfortable single bed, bedside table, chest of drawers, hanging rail, shoe rack and tea/coffee facilities. It shares a bath/shower room and separate WC with two other rooms, and has proven very popular with single guests travelling on business or on a budget.

Whitewells Farm is a small complex of barns converted in 1978 into holiday cottages situated near the Herefordshire/Worcestershire border with fantastic views from all cottages towards the Malvern Hills. They've all been individually decorated, furnished and equipped to a high standard and are a home from home. We are ideally situated to use as a base whilst visiting Stratford, Birmingham, Cheltenham, Ludlow, Warwick and Bristol to name a few or as a base for a relaxing break all year round.
Haywain cottage which is at the end of a row of three cottages is unusual as it is 'upside down', the bedrooms and bathroom are downstairs and the living accommodation and kitchen upstairs. It has a light and airy living area with comfortable seating and a step down to a fully fitted kitchen with hob, oven, fridge, freezer, microwave, kettle, and toaster. The kitchen also incorporates the dining area. It is a cottage with unlimited character, a mixture of low and high ceilings and lots of the original structure still in place adding to the warmth of the house. It has a large spacious double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a recently refitted bathroom (all downstairs).
We live in a rural location 1 mile outside Cradley. Cradley is a large village with a Church, doctors and local shop/butcher. We are within an hours drive of Bristol, Gloucester, Leamington Spa, Stratford upon Avon, Warwick, Birmingham, Shrewsbury to name but a few. We are perfectly centrally situated to visit many attractions that the Midlands, Cotswolds and Gloucestershire have to offer. There are a number of well respected wineries in Herefordshire including Three Choirs and of course much of the cider produced finds its way across the globe. Herefordshire has an abundance of highly rated eating establishments from rosette pubs to Michelin rated restaurants. Hereforshire is a county that really does produce lots of fresh vegetables, fruit, fish and meats which is then used in lot of restaurants and local cafes. Malvern is highly regarded on the theatre circuit showing many shows from London and it also has its newly renovated cinema showing all the latest releases alongside art house releases. Ledbury is a quaint, very individual town with a wealth of historic building from the 1200's to the ultramodern architecture found in Tinsmith Alley. Ludlow - a medieval gem on the borders of Herefordshire and Shropshire with fantastic food venues and shops. On site we also have a number of activities that can be booked including archery tuition, air rifle shooting, axe throwing, quad trekking and laser clay shooting (charges apply to all activities)

Tarrington, near Ledbury, Anglaterra, Regne Unit

A newly renovated two bedroom apartment on the first and second floors above our home. Beams and hop kiln original features can be found throughout this large two bedroom apartment. Space includes two bedrooms, landing and stairs down to a large dining room and lounge. From the dining room is a large galley kitchen with everything you could need. Outside you'll find your own seating area for alfresco dining. Experience a bit of British farming history that is still surrounded by hops fields.
This property is a 2 bedroom self contained apartment above our family home with its own entrance and parking for one car only. The building is a converted Oast House and Hop Kiln with the distinctive towers on the roof. Two of the four towers are the bedrooms in the apartment. Please be aware that the apartment is on the first and second floor and you need to climb a flight of stairs outside the building to reach the front door. See photos. Inside the apartment, you'll find a small hall with coat and boot cupboard. Through the internal door you'll enter the living space consisting of the lounge and dining room. You'll find the newly fitted kitchen through an arch and the bathroom is tucked away in the corner. Through another door, you find a small staircase up to the bedrooms. The two bedrooms overlook the hop field and they both have solid wood chests of drawers and fitted wardrobes. One bedroom has twin single low beds that zip and link together to create a super-king bed (if preferred) and the other has a king-size bed. Both rooms have fans, mirrors, bedside tables, lamps and hair driers. The beds are low because of the sloping walls of the tower but they also enable you to see out of the low window. Roof beams and hop kiln features are found above the bed. Both rooms are dual aspect. The kitchen is fully equipped with a washing machine, dishwasher, electric hob, oven, fridge and freezer. Toaster, kettle, microwave and slow cooker (available on request) are also in the kitchen. All the utensils, cutlery, plates, glasses, pots and pans can be found along with an airer, ironing board and iron. We do have a tumble dryer elsewhere if you're desperate. There's also plenty of room to store any food you might bring with you. I do provide salt, pepper, oil sprays, sugar, tea bags, coffee, milk, bread and a few other local treats. The lounge has a beamed ceiling and two chesterfield type sofas giving plenty of room to relax. Here you will find a TV and Freesat box and DVD player as well as a few board games, lots of books and DVDs. You will also find guide and history books of the local area and local walks, some of which you just walk out of the apartment and start across the fields. There are plenty of local attractions leaflets to look through to give you ideas of what to do while you stay with us. There is also a DVD showing a documentary of hop picking back when people from all around arrived to pick the hops. The dining room with its beams throughout, features a solid wood dining table and chairs for 4, overlooking the hops field. The newly fitted bathroom has a walk in electric shower, guaranteeing a hot shower anytime of the day. Again the ceiling has exposed beams. There is a small area outside for your use including a large picnic table and parasol. This area is not totally private as it's part of our garden, but it has views of the hop field and the sunset of a summers evening. The outside area is lit up by motion detection lights and there is also emergency lighting on the stairs which will still work in a powercut. Watch out for conkers. Heating is economy 7 night storage heaters which means the radiators heat up when electricity is at its cheapest, but stays warm all day. WiFi is available and the passcode is by the TV. The apartment is located within a very quiet complex of converted farm buildings with limited parking, so consideration for the neighbours in close proximity is required. There is ONE parking space and the apartment is above our home, so please be considerate regarding noise. There is only ONE parking space at the property near to the stairs up to the apartment. Due to the steepness of the drive near the carpark, some heaver and bigger cars struggle to exit back up the slope due to the gravel. If you have a larger car like an estate or big luxury car, please let me know and I can arrange for you to park in our carport. There is no other parking near the property.
We are surrounded on two sides by fields, so the place is very peaceful. The complex is very sleepy and quiet. Outside lights go out at 10:30pm. Parking is tight, so it's best to come down to the carpark and reverse into the space whenever possible.
