Our stunning open apartment/studio has been described as a treehouse or "outside inside house". It is made of recycled Australian hardwood, extensive wall to ceiling windows, and all modern furniture and utilities and beautiful garden.
This studio/apartment is a 'slice of heaven' and one half of a split level house with its' own separate entrance and patio. It is a Glenn Murcutt inspired wool shed jarrah pole framed house perched over Cox's Creek. It is made from hardwood, glass and corrugated iron. It has been described as an outside inside house as you are never sure where the house begins. It is at one with nature. It has its own entrance with beautiful elevated views of surrounding gardens, creek and lily pond. It is an 'escape for all seasons' in the very heart of Stirling. The creek that flows underneath can be heard gurgling below for 8-10 months of the year along with the frogs
Stirling is a beautiful leafy village close to Adelaide. It was originally the "Hills" retreat for the early English aristocracy and is one of the few places in the world where you are in a pristine micro- climate surrounded by nature (no fences) and only 20 minutes to the centre of the city. The village of Stirling has a wide cuisine range of well priced restaurants sourcing produce from nearby farms. You can also have the joy of supping on organic coffee or chilli hot chocolates at one of the many cafes that infuse the village. It is a visitors joy and one of Adelaide's best kept secrets that has been let out of the bag. Many people from' The Plains'come up to Stirling to enjoy The Organic Market, buy fresh produce and shop in some unique homeware/clothing and furniture shops or visit many of the splendid wineries. Every month Stirling houses an award winning local market. It has around 80 stalls, which make, bake, grow or value add to the products sold. If you enjoy being outside, the Adelaide Hills abounds with some of the best bike riding paths, walking trails and artists inspired landscapes . Hans Heysen's home "The Cedars" is a 10 minute drive. The Mount Lofty Botanical Gardens only a hop, skip and jump away. The Hills houses many boutique shopping and gallery experiences. We are within walking distance of the Coventry Library, Stirling pub, restaurants and shops.

There are four very private Airbnbs on the Pirralilla Estate. At the Caretakers Luxury Suite you can drive right up to the entrance and deck area, watch the wildlife and relax with some local wine and cheese. Unwind in bed looking out the floor to ceiling windows to the lush green gardens. With a full kitchen for self catering, cozy living area and spotless bathroom facilities, The Caretakers Suite is the perfect spot for a romantic weekend or an extended stay in the Hills.
Pirralilla was built in 1902 by the Hawkers, a wealthy pastoral family, as their summer residence. Originally it was a very large acreage with orchards, grazing land, manicured gardens, tennis courts and swimming pool. The buildings include a double storey mansion, church, laundry block, staff eating quarters, stables, double storey pool house, governess's cottage, chauffeur's residence, caretaker's cottage and workshop and gardener's cottage. In the 1950s Pirralilla entered its second phase and was passed onto the Sisters of St Joseph ( Mary MacKillop's order) and it became St Joseph's Convent. A church was added onto the mansion and in 1972 a 30 room dormitory was built adjacent. Pirralilla turned full circle in 2009, as it was returned to a family estate and home for George and Esme Savva and their six children. It retains all the original buildings on 10 acres. The property has been brought into the 21st century and returned to its former glory. Work has now started on renewing the gardens.
Aldgate village has numerous shops, cafes, and a supermarket and is an easy 15-minute walk away. Stirling is larger, with a popular monthly market, a library, restaurants, and interesting shops, sitting minutes away by car or within 30 minutes' walk.

This is more than a regular Airbnb stay - this is your chance to experience the Australian bushland in a glamorous bell tent. Your chance to 'glamp' - glamorous camp! Nestled in Crafers in the stunning Adelaide Hills - less than a 20 min drive from the centre of Adelaide, we are also a few min drive from the famous German village of Hahndorf. Our beautiful bell tent is the perfect base to visit, Adelaide, the fabulous Adelaide Hills and McLaren Vale wineries.
UPDATE If your dates are not available we have a second tent on the property www.airbnb.com.au/rooms/35316483 Set on a 3 acre bushland block (we live in the main residence) our bells tents are furnished to a high standard with new queen beds, luxurious cotton sheets, carpets, rugs, and of course fairy lights. Sit out under the stars and watch out for our resident koalas who visit every few days, the shy echidna who lives near our post box (he's a bit hard to spot!) and of course the kangaroos, possums and kookaburras who like to come out at dusk and dawn. Please don't expect manicured lawns and gardens - this is a little peace of real Australian bushland. A chance to experience nature but still be close to the city. We have a nice, clean camping toilet in its own shed or you are welcome to use our home toilet and bathroom if you prefer. Tents are completely waterproof, well ventilated and we provide you with a bbq, all your cooking utensils and outdoor eating areas (sorry no open fires as it's very dry and it's against the law to have a fire at this time of year in case it starts a bushfire). We also hire our tents out to be set up in National Park Campsites and regular campsites (you choose the pitch and we set everything up for your arrival and take it down when you depart).
We are a 10 min drive from the bottom of the freeway and less than 20 min from the centre. We are a few minutes drive from Mount Lofty Summit (lookout over the whole of Adelaide), Mount Lofty Botanic Gardens (these are beautiful!) and the Cleland Conservation Park (where you can cuddle a koala). The famous German village of Hahndorf is a 10 minute drive - it's a great place to order German beer (or Australian) and eat some good German food. Adelaide city is about 25 min bus ride (we can drop you at bus terminal if you don't have a car) and if you're getting the bus to Melbourne it stops here too! In fact the buses from Crafers can take you all over the Adelaide Hills. The gorgeous beaches of Adelaide are about 25 minutes away. We are surrounded by bushland and vineyards and great places to eat. Quaint villages of the Adelaide Hills including Stirling, Aldgate and Bridgewater (with its historic mill and pretty beer garden by the river) are only a few minutes away. McLaren Vale, the famous wine region is less than a half hour drive too, so with us as your base, you will be able to see so much. Oh yes, I forgot to say that if you are a keen cyclist this area is where the Tour Down Under rides though. So lots of amazing scenery to see on your bike. And a big downhill cycle to the city (much of it on a bike path).

A peaceful retreat, for those who need time away from it all, a rest and recharge, tranquility and a connection to nature, or a reconnection with a loved one. Or for those exhausted by life needing time away, take a long, deep sleep, or a day spent among the soft pillows and cushions with a good book or free unlimited Netflix. Light the little vanilla-scented candles, have a nice hot shower, make a cup of tea (or wine, or port from the intricate port sippers provided)..and rest. For the explorers, so much awaits to be discovered, whether it be a pop out for meal, or a day-trip adventure- scroll down to the bottom for ideas, and a whole folder more await you upon arrival to help plan your adventures. The large picture windows let in plenty of natural light and the space is welcoming and relaxing. At night, the sparkling touch lamps, tea light candles and fairylights provide a warm, soft atmosphere. Cold night? New split system, plenty of soft, snuggly blankets provided, and of course, tea. More types than you could poke a teaspoon at- the way it should be. The apartment is on a different level to the main house, separate and not joined by any internal stairs or doors. Every effort is made to ensure your privacy and peace throughout your stay. We leave it to our guests to initiate meeting us if desired, but are on hand if you were to wish for anything further. Private and secure with key lock and independent check in, you will have your own separate entry down a set of garden stairs, with your own designated off street car park included. Although there isnt a 'kitchen' or kitchenette, you will find a toaster, kettle- electric teapot and selection of tea, coffee (just instant- apologies) and hot chocolate. There is also a microwave and small fridge. We have also provided a bbq with cooktop/stovetop gas burner for your exclusive use under shelter outside your room, with crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils provided. You are most welcome to eat in your apartment or take the little dining setting or picnic blanket outside for a garden picnic. As you will be on holidays, there is no need to take out your rubbish or make your bed on the day of checkout - more time to relax and enjoy your stay. A small selection of books, DVDS and games are available to borrow- just ask. We can organize self-cook BBQ breakfast ingredients or a wine and cheese platter for you with a little notice- please asks about our packages. A little minibar is in your room in case of lazy days where you would prefer to relax and have a bottle of wine or snack handy. -An extra special treat if you are staying at the apartment in spring- a small heart shaped meadow for picnics, with 50 daffodils and 600 freesias to sit amongst- you would be welcome to borrow our extra large picnic blanket and picnic set upon request -Although unsuitable for children (one adult and one child sharing the bed has been done often), we have had pairs of friends, singles and mother-daughter pairs stay. |•The Property•| Set on a quarter of an acre in a safe, hillsy and friendly neighborhood, most of the way down a quiet no-through road, Koalaville is perfect if a peaceful and relaxing getaway is what you are after- or a fun filled adventure of food, wine and cheese, as the best wineries are so close by, as is Hahndorf. Great for those who love to get in touch with nature and want to reconnect with each other. The best thing of all are our cute-as-a-button koalas, masquerading as fluffy toys, but making grunting sounds like bears, they sit adorably eating leaves- we recently had a mother, father and baby family living in the gum tree right outside your apartment window- at the moment there is one big one. There are possums-a plenty- Pete, Percy, Pixie and baby Pinkie use the trees as a possum playground, a delight to watch, and ever present. If you hear a little furry thump, it's just them having their night time adventures. Feel free to feed them, they love bread and fruit and are friendly. Fall asleep to frog chorus from the winter creek and pond, and wake peacefully to warbling magpies and singing galahs and sulphur crested cockatoos, the laughing kookaburra sounds echoing across the valley, and the satisfied soft clucking of our hens once they have laid an egg. Watch the pretty parrots and rosellas in the trees while enjoying a cup of tea- we ensure the bird feeder outside your window is topped up to entice the stunning array of birds- stay very still and enjoy a spectacular show. |•The Location•| An easy drive to the city (under half an hour), or take the 'pretty way' as we choose to go; up Greenhill Road or Magill Road, and meander down through the lush Adelaide hills for a gorgeous scenic drive- perhaps stopping along the way to pick up some fresh raspberries, 'lemonade', flowers or produce from children's stalls along the side of the roads. Ensure you drive down our favourite road, Aldgate Valley Road- we loved this road so much, that we approached several property owners to see if they would allow us to hold our wedding ceremony in their garden- we were incredibly lucky to be able to be married at a private property at 10 Aldgate Valley Road- our idea of heaven. Adelaide has gorgeous beaches- Glenelg is less than 40 minutes away, or drive down through the hills to the coast to Goolwa and along the coast through to Victor Harbor and jump on the horse drawn tram (and feed the friendly Clydesdales- they love carrots). For an incredible daytrip, head to Carrickalinga/ Normanville via Meadows- stunning, quiet beaches with dolphins around sunset. °*|•Special Occasion?•|*° Is your stay for a special occasion? Ask about making it extra special for you and surprising your loved one, or making your wedding night magical :) As of February 2018, we have created three different ‘Magic Packages’: -Arrival Surprise Treat -Twilight Magic ‘Secret Fairy’ and -Enchanted night in Or mix and match your own choices. We hope to have a proposal here someday- if you are considering this, let us help make it the most memorable and magical moment possible. |• Cost options•| As many of our guests are from Adelaide or road tripping from the eastern states, we can offer your stay for $30 off if you would like to bring your own towels and linen, if the room hasn’t already been made up. Go ahead and book, let us know at the time of booking, and we will return $30 to you. Want to stay awhile? We’d love to have you, and will give you 20% off when staying a week or longer, and 25% off if staying a month- maybe more for longer stays, give us a message for a chat. ☺️ |• Pets? •| As you can tell, we LOVE animals. One of us significantly more than the other, so I'm hoping my husband won't wade as deeply into my slabs of text as you have, and discover this update *grin*. Although we never allow pets into the apartment to keep the space clean and fresh, we do in our own home: Our cocker spaniel sleeps with her head on my pillow and snores in my ear. So if you have a pet and you can't find anywhere and you want to travel with her instead of putting her in a boarding kennel and she is a cocker spaniel, cavalier, springer, ferret, rabbit, sausage dog, kitten or similar, please let me know and I'll attempt some arm twisting for you. She might be able to sleep up in our bed in the main house too while you are on holiday. |•News•| Ask about our new packages for special occasions - would love to spoil you. -April- a gorgeous Sulphur Crested Cockatoo, who we have affectionately named ‘Bert the Bird’ has been visiting us lately twice a day, and is becoming more and more tame. We are talking to him lots and hoping he will start to talk back soon. The other day he brought along his gorgeous little baby, Bertie. She is very sooky, whines while she eats, and is quite uncoordinated, particularly with her balance and her landings. She is an absolute delight to watch from your window. - March- we have a new powerful split system installed for snuggly winters! - We now have Netflix setup and logged in for you, with chromecast, so that you can lie back, snuggle up and watch all your favourite on the room tv for a lovely weekend in. - We have now had a couple with a baby as well as a mother with a 9 year old boy stay successfully and enjoy their time here. Whilst there is only the one double bed, if you’d like to bring your little one with you, let us know in your message and we can see whether Koalaville might be able to work for you too :) Three baby magpies and two big magpies, just outside the apartment- the babies still have fluffy little bellies, aw. The warbling is amazing. Last night on our drive home, we went down Sturt Valley Road- so beautiful, and deserves a mention for a little drive. We have super fast NBN connected! No more slow internet- hooray! January : Mollie the Koala has had a tiny gorgeous baby- for a short video of she and her baby taken from the garden, the baby tugging at her furry ears, please send your number with spaces between each letter or in words, oh four oh etc, so it doesn't get blocked, and I'll send it to you- it's the cutest thing! Bird photos and descriptions can also be seen by clicking on the photos and scrolling through- the myriad of birds that come to feed at the bird feeder outside the room is delightful- including a few pink-and-grey galahs who, if you sit very still, will cheekily watch you with tilted head. January: Pixie the Possum had a gorgeous little baby, who clings onto her mother via four pawfuls of fur- so beautiful! A hair raising piggy back ride through the trees, and a joy to watch through the windows- we captured a photo of them and included it in the property photos for you to see. |•To do~Activities in the area•| A folder of ideas for exploring the area awaits you in your apartment- fun activities for the area include: -Pick your own strawberries at Beerenberg Farm and taste the incredible chutneys, jams and spreads on offer- they are just past Hahndorf and entry is only $4 including eating as many strawberries as you can manage! - Walk and explore- there are plenty of walking trails in Bridgewater and in and around the nearby tourist town of Hahndorf. Even walking through the roads of Aldgate is the most relaxing and beautiful experience. - Stirling, Aldgate and Crafers villages nearby have great cafes, shops and pubs. We highly recommend and love the Stirling Hotel- great atmosphere including live acoustic music often. - Bike riding- Adelaide hills is great for this, as it is part of the Tour Downunder circuit- we also have the beautiful Amy Gillett Bikeway, running along Woodside and Oakbank, past some lovely wineries and the Melba's Chocolate factory- bikes available on request- notice needed for this to ensure they are in perfect working order for you. -Visit the monthly Stirling Laneways markets Sundays in Stirling- "The award-winning Stirling Laneways is more than a market. From September to April, each event celebrates life with a different fun theme that creates an engaging atmosphere and makes the fourth Sunday in Stirling a unique experience for both locals and those new to exploring our wonderful Adelaide Hills world. Stirling Laneways brings a fresh burst of colour to monthly market Sundays. Follow your feet through the lanes and side-streets to discover artists and entertainers mingled between our local traders and pop-up stalls. Winner: MainstreetSA Awards ‘Best Market’ 2016 Finalist: BrandSA Awards 2015 ‘Festivals & Events’ in the Hills and Coast Region" The next markets are: March 26th and April 23rd. -Sample cheeses from local producers at Udder delights in Hahndorf - Take the amazing scenic drive Drive to barossa (1 hour) or McLaren vale (~45 minutes) -Visit the incredible Mt Lofty Botanic Gardens- truly spectacular in autumn and spring, misty and magical in winter, and cool and refreshing in summer. - Cuddle a Koala at Cleland Wildlife park and feed the friendly kangaroos- a true delight for animal lovers, or - Visit the Hahndorf farm barn and cuddle friendly farm animals -Visit Barrister's Block winery and sit amongst the deer and forest in the garden setting, sampling some of the nicest wine available, next to an open fire in winter. -Wine tasting at Somerled- on the Main Street, our absolute favorite place- lit up with sparkly fairy lights at night, you can get a little half glass of wine to taste for $5- which makes you want to taste them all! The sparkling and Shiraz are both to die for, and such a gorgeous outdoor area with pretty heritage hens roaming through the gate, and the sweetest staff :) -Dine under the twinkling lights at Jimmie’s Restaurant, Crafers, or the newly renovated Crafers Inn. -Go for a horse trail ride at Mylor -Pop in to Melba's Chocolate Factory in Woodside and see all sorts of incredible chocolates being made and have free samples- like being inside Willy Wonka land! -Enjoy a hit of golf at one of the many hills golf courses, or try to hit the ball across the lake at Maximillions for the $10000 prize- or sip homemade cider there in the sun enjoying the view if golf isn't your thing. -Borrow our giant picnic rug and picnic set, and have a picnic on the lawn next to the bubbling little winter creek, or take in the green, relaxing views out of the huge picture windows with a cup of tea. -Enjoy when the wineries in the Adelaide Hills throw open their doors for Crush Festival in summer, or Winter Reds in winter. -Many other winery recommendations available on request- we would be happy to help.

The recently renovated Ashgrove Lodge is the perfect setting for guests to relax in an well appointed 3 room self contained apartment residence minutes from local amenities and situated in the heart of the stunning Adelaide Hills.
Nestled in the heart of the picturesque Adelaide Hills, Ashgrove was built in the era of grand hills residences, the stately home and grounds designed by statesman Frank Halliday as his summer retreat. Given that Mr Halliday was also president of the Mount Lofty Horticultural Society, it is unsurprising that Ashgrove features extensive bluestone garden walling and has an impressive structured rose garden to the front of the house. Sadly most of the impressive ash trees that once surrounded the property were divested as the estate was subdivided but we still have three mature ashes in situ which in Autumn, coupled with the golden elms, light up the garden with their gorgeous red hues. We have set about faithfully restoring the early Art Deco mansion to its former glory and now offer the Lodge, a three room self contained apartment residence situated on the ground floor of Ashgrove House to visitors. Guests are provided with a dedicated gated entrance to Ashgrove Lodge, and enjoy private access to the Lodge garden (recently replanted with box hedges and hydrangeas). The Lodge itself has solid walnut floors throughout and has retained many of the original 1920s fittings. On entry you arrive into a bright and spacious open plan reception room which has a large modern corner sofa (which can be used as a queen size bed), smart tv (with Netflix) and DVD player. The dining area seats 6 easily and the full sized kitchen has everything foodies could desire for whipping up masterpieces with local produce including all modern electrical appliances and coffee maker. If anything is missing, you can always ask me to grab something from the main house. The master bedroom features a luxurious queen size bed and the second bedroom, which we call the snug, holds a comfy armchair in front of the wood burning cast iron fireplace and an original cast iron double bed. This room is an access room to the master bedroom. Free WiFi access is available throughout the property, and guests are welcomed to use the Lodge’s Netflix account which is installed on the televisions. All our linen is 1500 thread count, the quilts, mattress toppers and pillows are all duck or goose feather and the towels are heavy weight superior Egyptian cotton 800 gsm. The Lodge has independent reverse cycle air-conditioning and heating which you control. We also have a divine cast iron wood heater which brings the entire apartment to a very toasty temperature and can offer electric blankets for anyone who may feel the cold in the winter months. A separate laundry room is available exclusively for the use of guests with Bosch washer and dryer machines and ironing facilities. We have an extra large outdoor (in-ground) salt swimming pool which is surrounded by sandstone paving, wooden recliners and couches covered with waterproof cushions. A diving board will please the children no end and the two vast stand parasols can be maneuvered to shade parts of the pool to protect against the sun. A full sized tennis court is also available with rackets and balls available for use. The large home gym looks out onto the hydrangea garden through large windows. We have a seated weight machine, bicycle, treadmill, ab-machine, rowing machine, medicine balls, free weights etc. We have great plans to rejuvenate the main gardens, replant the orchard, establish a walled vegetable garden and install a children's playground later in 2020. The Lodge could happily serve as a home away from home for a couple looking for a lovely weekend away or a short stay in Adelaide for the Fringe. The TourDown under circuit passes quite literally around the corner and we can help you get bookings at the Aldgate Pump Hotel for a balcony spot or at Fred's (Aldgate's award winning café / bistro). We are open to longer term bookings and offer a generous discount for bookings over a week or month.
Crafers, Stirling and Aldgate villages each have many small local shops (some of which were original established with the first settlers to the Adelaide Hills in the 1860s). We also boast the Crafers pub which has won numerous awards with its fine eating and extensive cellar, the Stirling Hotel with its famous gin bar (75 types of gin and counting) and wood fired pizza oven and the Aldgate Pump Hotel (built in 1870) is walking distance away for a traditional meal as is Yuki in the Hills (a very popular Japanese restaurant so please book in advance). Mt Loft Summit (with panoramic views of the Adelaide plains) and Mt Lofty Botanical Gardens are a short distance away and see you enter a magical European Botanic Gardens with numerous paths and picnic spots. Equally, there are a plethora of "wild" walking trails through the countryside that meander through the Hills where you can find hidden gems. One nearby trail will take you to the Bridgewater Pub (with lovely outdoor tables by the river) and another will take you through the Mt George conservation park. Yet another will connect you to the famous Heysen trails which are very well signposted and crisscross all over the Adelaide Hills, even taking you down to Waterfall Gully for a spray from the waterfalls and then a scone and tea on the way back. For those who prefer to sight-see on a bicycle, motorbike or by car - avoid the modern freeway and choose the bitumanised winding country roads which were originally formed by the bullocks as they hauled goods through the colony, picking the the natural falls and rises of the landscape for ease of passage through the hills and valleys. These roads are in abundance and are very popular for gentle drives through the undulating countryside, the roads bordered by endless vineyards, farms and nature flora. Please be careful as it is common for kangaroos, possums and koalas to cross the roads whenever they like (day and night) and we Hills people always stop to patiently give them right of way. Nearby is the celebrated Cleland Wildlife Park which cares for native Australian fauna. Having been extensively socialised since small, the animals will approach you for a scratch or a pat and will even eat from your hand. We are located in the heart of the Adelaide Hills wine district and are only minutes from numerous award winning cellar doors (www.adelaidehillswine.com.au/visit/cellar-doors/map/). A little further afield (by 45 minutes) will find you (to the north) in the Barossa Valley (www.barossa.com/uploads/1129/2016-barossa-touring-map-final.pdf) and (to the south west) in McLaren Vale (www.mclarenvaleguide.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/McLaren-Vale-and-Fleurieu-Map.pdf). We can arrange transport for you so that no-one need be the designated driver if you want to explore the wine regions. With so many of the vineyards offering exquisite meals and wine pairing, its almost criminal not to make a day of it. We know a number of the vineyard owners so may be able to assist with bookings or something special. The first german town established on these shores - Hahndorf - is only 10 minutes further along the road and is celebrated for its mid 1800s colonial architecture and traditional food and gift shops. The Beerenberg strawberry farm is a further 5 minutes along the road where you can delight in picking your own strawberries straight from the plants (cherries, figs and many other fruits can also be picked in the Adelaide Hills if strawberries aren't to your liking). Strathalbyn is a short skip away for antiques browsers and for a slightly longer drive you can head to the colonial Victor Harbour on the sea or the pink salt lakes.

Come and visit the Adelaide Hills and stay in a cosy, fully renovated 1969 vintage caravan with all the amenities you could want, nestled deep in the glorious Sturt Valley. You'll be surrounded by wildlife on a working permaculture-focussed farm, on the banks of the Sturt River away from the noise of the city and in one of the states premier wine producing regions.
The Adelaide Hills may be one of the most picturesque and romantic destinations in Australia, and that is exactly what we aimed to encapsulate when we decided to convert our little old caravan into a fully self-contained cabin and share a little part of our paradise with the rest of the world. Today, our cabin sits snugly just metres from the banks of the Sturt River and is a perfect retreat for couples or just those looking for a little escape from the world. Whether you're looking for a cosy base from which to explore the hills, you want to shut yourself in with plenty of coffee and a shelf of good books, or you just want to get a taste of life in this wonderful part of the world, a few nights in our little cabin might be just the answer. A little extra info: I'd best describe our property as a working hobby farm: We keep chickens and ducks, and occasionally, goats, sheep, or alpacas. We keep bees and we grow a lot of our own food. We follow many of the principles of permaculture, and the functional aspects of regenerative agriculture can often override the beauty of manicured lawns and weed-free gardens - though we do try our best. The cabin also has a small footprint, to keep things functional and cosy (not cramped) the toilet and shower facility is just outside the door and across the deck, and due to the proximity to the waterway, a compost/chemical toilet was the only reliably eco-friendly option - imagine a quiet, more spacious airplane bathroom, just out in nature a little. It's not uncomfortable - in fact, most people say it adds to the experience - but it is unique, and I want to be as forthcoming as I can be. When you arrive, you'll find a small welcome pack which will contain some simple instructions on how to use it, along with a bunch of other information on how to maximise your cabin experience. We don't offer a prepared breakfast option, as we are often not around with any certainty, but upon request, we can supply you with everything you need to prepare your own. This does incur a small fee, but we are happy to oblige. Perhaps you just want some locally sourced fruit and yoghurt, or you'd like to whip up some bacon and eggs fresh from the coop you can see from your bedroom window. Just let us know ahead of time and we will get you set up.
We are situated deep in the Sturt Valley, down a quiet windy road headed to nowhere. Traffic is rare. Birds, Koalas, Possums, Bandicoots, our posse of chickens and ducks, and the quaint, gurgling of the Sturt River outside the window makes up the soundtrack of our little hideaway in the hills. Enjoy the sounds of nature or have a go at the ukulele, the choice is yours.

Hahndorf, Austràlia Meridional, Austràlia

This is more than a regular Airbnb stay - this is your chance to experience the Australian bushland in a glamorous bell tent. Your chance to 'glamp' - glamorous camp.
Set on a 3 acre bushland block (we live in the main residence) our bells tents are furnished to a high standard with new queen beds, luxurious cotton sheets, carpets, rugs, and of course fairy lights. Tents are completely waterproof, well ventilated and we provide you with a bbq, all your cooking utensils and outdoor eating areas. Please note the bbq and all the plates and cutlery are your 'kitchen' (not the kitchen in the main residence). This tent is for two people but if you would like to come as a larger group or family please message us or see our other listing on Airbnb under Bushland Bells for up to 8 people (in two tents).
